Congratulations on purchasing your new product. You have
selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are
part of this product. They contain important information on
safety, usage and disposal. Before using the product, please
familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions. Use
the product only as described and for the range of applications
specified. Retain these operating instructions for future reference.
Please also pass these operating instructions on to any future
owner.

Proper use
This product is an information technology device and is intended
exclusively for the creation of selfies (self-portraits) by means of
a Bluetooth® capable smartphone. The mini tripod can be
screwed onto the ¼ inch thread on the underside of the handle,
allowing the product to be used as a stable tabletop tripod.
Using the detachable remote release, you can take pictures from
a distance of up to 10 meters. The appliance is not intended for
any other purpose nor for use beyond the scope described. The
product is not intended for use in commercial or industrial areas.
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage caused
by failure to observe these instructions, improper use or repairs,
unauthorised modifications or the use of unapproved replacement parts. The risk is borne solely by the user.

Safety
This section contains important safety instructions for using the
product. Improper use may result in personal injury and property
damage.
■ Prior to use, check the product for visible external damage.
Do not operate a product that has been damaged or
dropped.
■ This product may be used by children aged 8 years and
above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge,
provided that they are under supervision or have been told
how to use the product safely and are aware of the potential
risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks must not be carried out by
children unless they are supervised.

aging material! Keep all packaging materials away from
children. There is a risk of suffocation!
■ Ensure that all components of the product are firmly at-
tached when using the product.
■ Do not perform any modifications or changes to the product
yourself.

Notes on the radio interface
■ Switch off the device when you are in an aeroplane,
hospital, operating theatre or in the vicinity of any electronic
medical system. The transmitted radio waves can affect the
functionality of sensitive devices.
■
WARNING! Keep the product at least 20 cm away from
a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator, as radio waves could
affect the proper functioning of the pacemaker or implanted
defibrillator.
■ The transmitted radio waves can cause noise interference in
hearing aids.
■ Do not use the product with the radio component switched
on in the vicinity of flammable gases or in a potentially
explosive environment (e.g. paint shop), as the transmitted
radio waves can trigger an explosion or fire.
■ The range of the radio waves is dependent on the environ-
ment and the ambient conditions.
■ Data transmissions via a wireless connection can be inter-
cepted by unauthorised third parties.
Safety instructions for batteries
In order to handle batteries safely, please observe the following
safety instructions:

■ This product contains a button cell. If this button cell is swal-
lowed, it can lead to serious internal burns within 2 hours
that can lead to death.
■ Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children can put
batteries into their mouth and swallow them. If you suspect
batteries may have been swallowed or inserted into any
part of the body, seek immediate medical help.
■ Keep old and new batteries out of the reach of children.
■ Do not throw batteries into a fire and do not subject them to
high temperatures.

■ Do not open, deform or short-circuit batteries, since this can
lead to chemical leakage.
■ Do not attempt to recharge the battery.
■ Check the condition of the battery regularly. Leaking chem-
icals can cause permanent damage to the product. Take particular care when handling damaged or leaking batteries.
Risk of acid burns! Wear protective gloves.
■ Chemicals that leak from a battery can cause skin irritation.
In event of contact with your skin, rinse off with plenty of water. If the chemicals get into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly
with water, do not rub and consult a doctor immediately.
■ Always insert the batteries the right way round (observe
correct polarity) otherwise there is a risk that they could
explode.
■ If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop
using the product and keep it away from children.
■ If you do not intend to use the product for a long time,
remove the battery.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging materials have been selected
for their environmental friendliness and ease of
disposal, and are therefore recyclable. Dispose of
packaging materials that are no longer needed in
accordance with applicable local regulations.
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally
friendly manner.
Note the labelling on the packaging and separate
the packaging material components for disposal if
necessary. The packaging material is labelled with
abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the
following meanings:
1–7: plastics, 20–22: paper and cardboard,
80–98: composites.
Inserting/replacing the battery
♦ Open the battery compartment on the rear of the remote
release8. To do this, turn the battery compartment cover w,
e.g. with a coin, in the direction of the arrow OPEN until the
arrow on the battery compartment coverw points to the
open lock symbol .
♦ Insert a CR 2032 battery into the battery compartment.
The positive terminal should face upwards.
♦ Replace the battery compartment coverw on the back of
the remote release8 and lock the battery compartment.
To do this, turn the battery compartment coverw in the
direction of the arrow CLOSE until the arrow on the battery
compartment coverw points to the closed lock symbol
Ensure that the sealing ring is properly inserted into the frame
of the battery compartment.

NOTE
► If the operating LED 0 flashes red every second, the
battery is depleted and must be replaced.

Handling and operation
Establishing a connection to a smartphone
Before you can use the selfie stick, you must first pair the remote
release8 with a compatible smartphone via Bluetooth
NOTE
► This product supports the operating systems iOS 8.0
or higher and Android 6.0 or higher. As Android is an
open-source system, each manufacturer determines the
key assignment of its camera app themselves. On some
smartphones no image can be triggered with the original
camera app, and there may be various malfunctions when
pressing the
buttonq. In this case, check the settings
of the operating system to see whether the settings offer an
option for setting the volume control (+) as an additional
trigger button.
♦ Press and hold the
button9 for about 3 seconds to
switch on the remote release8. The operating LED0 lights
up red once and then flashes blue every second. The remote
release8 is now in pairing mode for approx.
1 minute. If you do not make the pairing within 1 minute,
the remote release8 switches off automatically.
♦ Activate the Bluetooth
search for Bluetooth
®
function on your smartphone and
®
devices. You can find a detailed
description of how to do this in the operating instructions for
your smartphone.
♦ Select the entry SSBS 3.0 A2 from the list of found devices
on your smartphone to pair the two devices. If the connection is successful, the operating LED0 goes out.
♦ To switch off the remote release8, press and hold the
button9 for approx. 3 seconds. The operating LED0 briefly
flashes red three times before going out completely.

NOTE
► The next time you switch on the device, the remote
release8 will connect automatically to the last-connected
smartphone. If your smartphone does not automatically
connect to the remote release8, you must establish the
connection manually. You can find a detailed description
of how to do this in the operating instructions for your
smartphone.
► If you want to connect another smartphone to the remote
release8, press and hold the buttone for about
2 seconds. The operating LED briefly flashes blue twice
and then continues to flash every second. The remote
release8 is now in pairing mode for about 1 minute and
can now be connected to another smartphone.
Attaching a smartphone to the selfie stick
♦ Pull the clamps of the smartphone holder2 open.
♦ Place the smartphone between the clamps of the smart-
phone holder2 by pushing the upper clamp upwards
against the spring force. Check that your smartphone is
securely in place.
♦ Loosen the locking screw3 and adjust the vertical tilt angle
of the smartphone. Fix the smartphone in the desired position by re-tightening the locking screw3.
♦ If necessary, attach the remote release8 to the lower part of
the telescopic shaft4 using the remote release holderr.

Taking selfies
♦ Release the lock of the telescopic shaft4 by turning it
anticlockwise.
♦ Pull out the telescopic shaft4 to the desired length. Turn the
individual elements of the telescopic shaft4 clockwise to
lock them in place.
♦ If you want to unlock the telescope shaft4 again, turn the
individual elements in the opposite direction (anticlockwise).
♦ Switch on the camera function on your smartphone.
♦ Press the

Troubleshooting
The remote release8 will not switch on.
► The battery is empty. Replace the battery (see section
Inserting/replacing the battery).
The Bluetooth

Activate the Bluetooth® function on your smartphone.
Please refer to its operating instructions for more information.
► The distance between the remote release8 and the smart-
phone is too big. Make sure that the remote release8 is no
more than 10 meters away from the smartphone.
► Your smartphone may be using an unsupported operating
system. Check the version of the operating system on your
smartphone (for supported operating systems, see section
Technical data).

Cleaning
NOTICE
► To avoid irreparable damage to the product, ensure that
no moisture gets into it during cleaning.
► Do not use caustic, abrasive or solvent-based cleaning
materials. These can damage the surfaces of the product.
♦ Clean the product with a lightly moistened cloth and a mild
detergent only.
Storage when not in use
♦ Store the product in a dry, dust-free location out of direct
sunlight.
♦ For prolonged storage, the battery should be removed to
prevent battery leakage.
Disposal
The adjacent symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin
means that this product is subject to Directive
2012/19/EU. This directive states that the product
may not be disposed of in normal household waste
at the end of its useful life, but must be taken to a specially set-up
collection point, recycling depot or disposal company.
This disposal is free of charge for the user. Protect
the environment and dispose of this device properly.
Your local community or municipal authorities can
provide information on how to dispose of the
worn-out product.
Batteries should not be disposed of with normal
household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to
dispose of used batteries at a collection point in
their town/district or at a retail store. This obligation
serves to ensure that batteries are disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. They may contain poisonous heavy metals
and must be disposed of in accordance with the rules for the
treatment of hazardous waste. The chemical symbols for heavy
metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
Only hand in batteries that are fully discharged.

Kompernass Handels GmbH warranty
Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of pur-
chase. If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain
statutory rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way
by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep
your receipt in a safe place. This will be required as proof of
purchase.
If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years
of the date of purchase of the product, we will either repair or
replace the product for you or refund the purchase price (at
our discretion). This warranty service requires that you present
the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt)
within the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written
description of the fault and of when it occurred. If the defect is
covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or
replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not
signify the beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under
the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at the time of purchase
must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried
out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict
quality guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The
warranty does not extend to product parts subject to normal
wear and tear or to fragile parts which could be considered as
consumable parts such as switches, batteries or parts made of
glass. The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used or improperly maintained. The directions
in the operating instructions for the product regarding proper
use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions
that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are
warned against must be avoided.

pričvrsti pomoću vijka i da se tako koristi kao stabilan stoni stativ.
Sa daljinskim okidačem, koji može da se skine, mogu da se
prave fotografije sa razdaljine od maks. 10 metara. Svaki drugi
način korišćenja ili korišćenje izvan navedenih okvira smatra
se nenamenskim. Proizvod nije namenjen za komercijalnu ili

Bezbednost
U ovom poglavlju se nalaze važne bezbednosne napomene u
vezi sa rukovanjem proizvodom. Nestručna upotreba može da
dovede do telesnih povreda i materijalne štete.
■ Prekontrolišite proizvod pre upotrebe na spoljna vidljiva
oštećenja. Ne puštajte u rad proizvod koji je oštećen ili je
pao.
■ Ovim proizvodom smeju da rukuju deca starija od 8 godina,
kao i osobe sa smanjenim fizičkim, senzornim ili mentalnim
sposobnostima ili sa nedostatkom iskustva i/ili znanja, ako
su pod nadzorom ili su im data uputstva za rukovanje proizvodom na bezbedan način i ako razumeju opasnosti do kojih
može da dođe. Deca ne smeju da se igraju proizvodom.
Deca ne smeju da čiste i obavljaju korisničko održavanje
proizvoda bez nadzora.

Napomene u vezi sa radio-interfejsom
■ Isključite proizvod kada se nalazite u avionu, u bolnici, u
operacionoj sali ili u blizini medicinskog elektronskog sistema.
Preneti radio talasi mogu da ometaju osetljive uređaje u
njihovom funkcionisanju.
■
UPOZORENJE! Držite proizvod na minimalnoj udaljenosti
od 20 cm od pejsmejkera ili implantiranog defibrilatora,
u suprotnom mogu da budu ugrožene pravilne funkcije
pejsmejkera ili implantiranog defibrilatora usled dejstva
radio-talasa.
■ Preneti radio-talasi mogu da izazovu šum u slušnim apara-
tima.
■ Ne koristite proizvod sa uključenom radio-komponentom
u blizini zapaljivih gasova ili u okruženju osetljivom na
eksplozije (npr. lakirnica), zato što preneti radio-talasi mogu
da izazovu eksploziju ili vatru.
■ Domet radio-talasa zavisi od uslova sredine i okruženja.
■ Kod prenosa podataka preko bežične veze, i neovlašćenim
licima je omogućen prijem podataka.
Bezbednosne napomene u vezi sa baterijama
Za bezbedno rukovanje baterijama, obratite pažnju na sledeće
bezbednosne napomene:

dovede do požara, eksplozija, curenja opasnih materija ili
drugih opasnih situacija!
■ Ovaj proizvod sadrži dugme bateriju. Ako se ova dugme
baterija proguta, ona može u roku od 2 časa da izazove
ozbiljna unutrašnja nagrizanja, koja mogu da dovedu do
smrti.

■ Baterija ne sme da dospe u dečje ruke. Deca bi mogla da
stave bateriju u usta i da je progutaju. Ukoliko sumnjate da
je osoba progutala bateriju ili da je baterija dospela u bilo
koji deo tela, odmah potražite lekarsku pomoć.
■ Čuvajte stare i nove baterije izvan domašaja dece.
■ Ne bacajte baterije u vatru i ne izlažite ih visokim tempera-
turama.
■ Ne otvarajte baterije, nemojte da ih deformišete ili kratko
spojite, jer u tom slučaju mogu da iscure hemikalije koje se
u njima nalaze.
■ Ne pokušavajte da ponovo napunite baterije.
■ Redovno proveravajte bateriju. Iscurele hemikalije iz baterija
mogu da prouzrokuju trajne štete na proizvodu. Budite
veoma oprezni prilikom rukovanja oštećenim ili iscurelim
baterijama. Opasnost od nagrizanja! Nosite zaštitne
rukavice.
■ Hemikalije koje cure iz baterije, mogu da dovedu do
nadražaja kože. U slučaju kontakta sa kožom, isperite kožu
sa puno vode. Ukoliko hemikalije dospeju u oči, temeljno
ih isperite sa puno vode, ne trljajte ih i odmah potražiti
lekarsku pomoć.
■ Umetnite baterije uvek sa ispravnim polaritetom, u suprotnom
postoji opasnost od njihovog rasprskavanja.
■ Kada pregrada za bateriju ne može više bezbedno da se
zatvori, ne koristite više proizvod i držite ga podalje od
dece.
■ Izvadite bateriju iz proizvoda, ako ga ne koristite duže
vreme.

Odlaganje ambalaže
Ambalažni materijali su izabrani prema svojoj
ekološkoj prihvatljivosti i jednostavnosti odlaganja,
te su zato podobni za reciklažu. Odložite nepotrebni
ambalažni materijal u skladu sa važećim lokalnim
propisima.
Odložite ambalažu na ekološki prihvatljiv način.
Obratite pažnju na oznaku na različitim
ambalažnim materijalima i, ako je potrebno,
odvojite ambalažne materijale zasebno.
Ambalažni materijali su označeni skraćenicama
(a) i ciframa (b) sa sledećim značenjem:
1–7: Plastika, 20–22: Hartija i karton, 80–98:
Kompozitni materijali.
Umetanje/zamena baterije
♦ Otvorite pregradu za baterije na poleđini daljinskog
okidača 8. U tu svrhu okrenite poklopac pregrade za
baterije w npr. kovanicom, u smeru strelice OPEN, dok
strelica na poklopcu pregrade za baterije w ne pokaže
na simbol za katanac .
♦ Umetnite bateriju tipa CR 2032 u pregradu za bateriju.
Pritom, pozitivni pol mora da bude usmeren nagore.
♦ Vratite poklopac pregrade za bateriju w ponovo na
poleđinu daljinskog okidača 8 i zabravite pregradu za ba-
teriju. U tu svrhu okrenite poklopac pregrade za baterijew
u smeru strelice CLOSE, dok strelica na poklopcu pregrade
za baterije w ne pokaže na simbol za zaključan katanac
Uverite se da je zaptivni prsten pravilno umetnut u okvir odeljka za baterije.

NAPOMENA
► Kada radna LED lampica 0 treperi crveno u intervalima
od jedne sekunde, baterija je ispražnjena i mora da se
zameni.
