By purchasing a SilverCrest bathroom scales SPWE 180 A1, hereinafter referred to as bathroom
scales, you have opted for a high-quality product.
Familiarise yourself with the bathroom scales before using them for the first time, and read these
operating instructions carefully. Pay particular attention to the safety instructions and use the
bathroom scales only as described in these operating instructions and for the specified range of
applications.
Keep these operating instructions in a safe place. Include all documents when passing on the
bathroom scales to someone else.
1. Intended use
These bathroom scales are used to determine a person's weight. The device should not be used
outdoors or in tropical climates. These bathroom scales are not designed for commercial use or
operation in a company. Use the bathroom scales only for private purposes in living areas as any
other use is not as intended. These bathroom scales meet all relevant norms and standards in
relation to CE conformity. In the event of any modification to the bathroom scales that was not
approved by the manufacturer, compliance with these standards is no longer guaranteed. The
manufacturer does not accept any liability for any resulting damage or faults in such cases. Only
use accessories specified by the manufacturer.
Please observe the regulations and laws in the country of use.

following instructions carefully and pay attention to all
warnings, even if you are familiar with handling electronic
devices. Store these operating instructions in a safe place for
future reference. If you sell the bathroom scales or pass them
on, always include these instructions.

bathroom scales with wet or damp feet. The same
applies if the tread is wet or damp. You could slip
and injure yourself.

These bathroom scales can be used by children aged 8 and
older and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
are supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the
bathroom scales and understand the resulting risks. Children
must not play with the bathroom scales. Cleaning and user
maintenance must not be carried out by children without
supervision. Always keep plastic packaging away from
children. It poses a suffocation risk.
Do not step on the bathroom scales with wet or damp feet or
when the tread is damp. You could slip and injure yourself.
Do not overload the bathroom scales with more than 180kg
or 396lb. Otherwise, the bathroom scales could be
damaged and there is a risk of injury.
Do not jump on the tread of the bathroom scales. They could
be damaged otherwise and there is a risk of injury.
If smoke is produced, or there are any unusual sounds or
smells, remove the battery immediately from the bathroom

scales. In these cases, the bathroom scales should not be
used until they have been inspected by authorised service
personnel. Never inhale smoke from a potential device fire.
If you have inhaled smoke, however, consult a doctor. The
inhalation of smoke can be harmful.
The bathroom scales must not become damaged in order to
prevent hazards.
Ensure that no fire sources (e.g. burning candles) are placed
on or near the bathroom scales. It poses a fire hazard!
The bathroom scales must never be exposed to any direct
heat sources (for example, heaters) or direct sunlight or
artificial light. Also avoid contact with dripping water and
splashes and corrosive liquids. Do not use the bathroom
scales near water. In particular, the bathroom scales should
never be submerged in liquid (do not place any items filled
with liquid, e.g. vases or drinks, on the bathroom scales).
Also ensure that the bathroom scales are never subjected to
excessive shocks and vibrations. Furthermore, no foreign
objects may penetrate the device. Otherwise, the bathroom
scales could be damaged.
If the battery has leaked, remove it to prevent damage to the
bathroom scales. You can remove leaked battery fluid with a
dry, absorbent cloth. Wear suitable gloves for this purpose!
Contact with skin must be avoided. In the event of skin or
eye contact with chemicals, they must be immediately rinsed
with generous amounts of water and a doctor must be
consulted.

6. Prior to use
6.1 Activating the battery
Remove the strip from the battery compartment (4) at the rear
of the bathroom scales. The bathroom scales are now ready
to use.
7. First use
7.1 Switching on the scales / measuring weight
The bathroom scales must be calibrated before first use or after having been
moved to ensure that they can determine one's weight exactly. To do so, step
briefly on to the tread (2), step off it again and wait until the bathroom scales
switch off automatically. The bathroom scales are now calibrated.
Due to the step on power function, the bathroom scales are switched on automatically when you
step on the tread (2) and they start to measure your weight immediately.
In their original state, the bathroom scales are set to the "kg" unit of weight. To change the unit of
weight, press the "Button for setting the unit of weight" (3). The selected unit of weight is then
indicated on the LCD display (1).
Stand on the tread (2) of the bathroom scales so that your weight is evenly distributed. Remain as
still as possible during the weighing process as the measurement result may be distorted otherwise.
The measurement result is indicated on the LCD display (1) during the weighing process. The
measurement is complete when the display flashes three times.
A solid surface is required to measure weight correctly. Thus always place the
bathroom scales on a solid, horizontal floor covering and never on carpet.
This can distort the measurement result.

To obtain comparable measurement results, you should always weigh yourself
if possible at the same time of day (preferably in the morning). Always weigh
yourself if possible under the same conditions: on an empty stomach, after
having gone to the toilet and naked.
Please note that values for the stone unit of weight are not represented as
decimal values. The display is divided into two segments by a colon. Only
whole numbers are displayed in the "st" unit of weight to the left of the colon.
The remaining weight is displayed in the "lb" unit of weight to the right of the
colon.
Example: The display indicates "6: 8st". This corresponds to 6st and 8lb.
7.2 Auto Power Off
The bathroom scales have an automatic switch-off function (Auto Power Off function).
The bathroom scales switch off automatically about 10 seconds after you step off the tread (2).
If you do not step off the tread (2) after weighing yourself, the bathroom scales also switch off
automatically after approximately 10 seconds.
7.3 Replacing the battery
Replace the battery when it is empty. To replace the lithium battery
CR2032, open the cover of the battery compartment (4) at the rear
of the bathroom scales by slipping your finger into the slot on the side
of the battery compartment (4). Now remove the cover of the battery
compartment (4).
To remove the battery, push it down a bit (see the direction of the
arrow in the illustration). You can then remove the battery from the
holder.
Then insert a new lithium battery CR2032. Pay attention to the
polarity when inserting the battery. This is indicated in the battery
compartment (4), and the + symbol on the lithium battery CR2032
must be visible, as shown in the adjoining illustration.
Then replace the cover on the battery compartment (4). The
bathroom scales are now ready to use.

8. Troubleshooting
8.1 Nothing is indicated on the LCD display
The lithium battery CR2032 is empty. Replace the lithium battery CR2032 with another of the
same type. Please note the instructions in the section "Replacing the battery".

8.2 "Lo" is indicated on the LCD display and the scales switch off
The lithium battery CR2032 is almost empty. Replace the lithium battery CR2032 with
another of the same type. Please note the instructions in the section "Replacing the battery".
8.3 "Err" is indicated on the LCD display
Your weight exceeds the maximum load capacity of 180kg / 396lb. You should step off the
tread (2) of the bathroom scales immediately to avoid damaging the scales.
9. Maintenance / cleaning
It is necessary to service the bathroom scales if they have been damaged in any way, for example,
if the housing is damaged, if liquid or objects have penetrated the bathroom scales or if they have
been exposed to rain or moisture. Servicing is also required if the device is not working properly or
has been dropped. If smoke is produced, or there are any unusual sounds or smells, remove the
battery immediately from the bathroom scales. In these cases, the bathroom scales should not be
used until they have been inspected by authorised service personnel. Only have qualified personnel
carry out the servicing on the device. Never open the housing of the bathroom scales. Only use a
clean, dry cloth for cleaning and never use any corrosive liquids.
10. Environmental and disposal information
When the crossed out wheelie bin symbol appears on a product, this indicates that the
product is subject to the European Directive 2012/19/EU.
All old electrical and electronic devices must be separated from normal household
waste and disposed of at designated state facilities. The correct disposal of old devices
in this manner will prevent environmental pollution and human health hazards. The battery must be
removed from the device before it is scrapped.

For further information about proper disposal, contact your local authorities, waste disposal office
or the shop where you bought the device.
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally compatible manner. Cardboard can
be put out for municipal paper collections or brought to public collection points for
recycling. Films and plastic used for packaging the device are collected by your local
disposal services and disposed of in an environmentally compatible manner.
Please note the markings on the packaging material when disposing of it, it is labelled
with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b), the meanings of which are as follows:
1–7: plastic / 20–22: paper and cardboard / 80-98: composite materials
10.1 Disposal of batteries
Remember to protect the environment. Used batteries should not be disposed of in
household waste. They must be taken to a collection point for old batteries. Please note
that only discharged batteries may be deposited in collection bins for portable
batteries. Care must be taken to ensure that batteries that are not fully discharged do
not short circuit.
11. Conformity information
The product complies with the requirements of the applicable European and national
directives. Evidence of conformity has been provided. The manufacturer has the

12. Warranty and servicing advice

Dear Customer,
This device is sold with three years warranty from the date of purchase. In the event of product
defects, you have legal rights towards the seller. These statutory rights are not restricted by our
warranty as described below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period commences upon the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt in a
safe place as it is required as proof of purchase. If any material or manufacturing faults occur within
three years of purchase of this product, we will repair or replace the product free of charge as we
deem appropriate.
Warranty period and legal warranty rights
The warranty period is not extended in the event of a warranty claim. This also applies to replaced
and repaired parts. Any damage or defects discovered upon purchase must be reported
immediately when the product has been unpacked. Any repairs required after the warranty period
will be subject to charge.
Scope of warranty
The device was carefully manufactured in compliance with stringent quality guidelines and
subjected to thorough testing before it left the works. The warranty applies to material and
manufacturing faults. This warranty does not cover product components which are subject to normal
wear and which can therefore be regarded as wearing parts, or damage to fragile components
such as switches, rechargeable batteries or components made of glass. This warranty is void if the
product is damaged, incorrectly used or serviced. To ensure correct use of the product, always
comply fully with all instructions contained in the user manual. The warnings and recommendations
in the user manual regarding correct and incorrect use and handling of the product must always be
observed and complied with. The product is solely designed for private use and is not suitable for
commercial applications. The warranty is rendered void in the event of incorrect handling and
misuse, if it is subjected to force, and also if any person other than our authorised service
technicians interfere with the device. No new warranty period commences if the product is repaired
or replaced.

Ova osobna vaga služi za utvrđivanje težine ljudi. Ne smije se upotrebljavati van zatvorenih

eventualnog požara uređaja. Ako ste ipak udahnuli dim,
odmah potražite liječničku pomoć. Udisanje dima može biti

Osobna vaga ne smije se oštetiti kako bi se izbjegle
opasnosti.
Pazite na to da na osobnoj vagi ili pored nje ne stoje nikakvi
otvoreni izvori požara (npr. svijeće koje gore). Postoji
opasnost od požara!
Osobnu vagu ne smijete izlagati izravnim izvorima topline
(npr. grijanja), izravnoj sunčevoj svjetlosti ili umjetnom
svjetlu. Izbjegavajte dodir s vodom koja prska ili kaplje te
agresivnim tekućinama. Ne upotrebljavajte osobnu vagu u
blizini vode. Osobna vaga se osobito ne smije nikada
uranjati (na nju nemojte postavljajte nikakve predmete
punjene tekućinama npr. vaze ili pića). Nadalje, obratite
pozornost na to da osobnu vagu ne izlažete pretjeranoj
trešnji ni vibracijama. U proizvod ne smiju prodrijeti strane
čestice jer bi se osobna vaga u protivnom mogla oštetiti.
Ako su baterije istrošene, izvadite ih kako biste izbjegli štete
na osobnoj vagi. Tekućinu koja je iscurila iz baterija možete
obrisati suhom krpom koja dobro upija. Pritom nosite
prikladne rukavice! Obavezno izbjegavajte dodir s kožom.
U slučaju dodira s kožom ili očima, mjesto trebate odmah
isprati s puno vode i potražiti pomoć liječnika.

6. Prije puštanja u rad
6.1 Aktiviranje baterije
Uklonite traku s pretinca za bateriju (4) na donjoj strani
osobne vage. Osobna vaga sada je spremna za rad.
7. Puštanje u rad
7.1 Uključivanje vage / mjerenje težine
Da bi osobna vaga mogla precizno odrediti težinu, treba prije prve uporabe
odn. nakon promjene mjesta postavljanja izvršiti kalibraciju. U tu svrhu stanite
nakratko na površinu za stajanje (2), siđite s nje ponovo i pričekajte da se
osobna vaga automatski isključi. Osobna vaga sada je kalibrirana.
Zahvaljujući funkciji Step-On-Power osobna vaga automatski se uključuje kada stanete na površinu
za stajanje (2) i odmah započinje s vaganjem težine.
U stanju isporuke osobna vaga namještena je na jedinicu za težinu „kg“. Za promjenu jedinice
težine pritisnite „tipku za namještanje jedinice težine“ (3). Odabrana jedinica za težinu pritom je
uvijek prikazana na LCD zaslonu (1).
Stanite na površinu za stajanje (2) na osobnoj vagi na način da vam je težina ravnomjerno
raspodijeljena. Tijekom vaganja se po mogućnosti nemojte pomicati jer bi mogli dobiti krivi rezultat
mjerenja. Tijekom vaganja rezultat mjerenja prikazuje se na LCD zaslonu (1). Mjerenje je završeno
tek kada prikaz tri puta zatrepće.
Čvrsta podloga preduvjet je za točno mjerenje težine. Stoga osobnu vagu
uvijek postavljajte na čvrst i vodoravan pod, nikako ne na tepison. Time
možete dobiti pogrešan rezultat mjerenja.

Da biste dobili rezultate mjerenja koji se mogu usporediti, trebali biste se, ako
je moguće, uvijek vagati u isto doba dana (najbolje ujutro). Važite se po
mogućnosti uvijek u istim okolnostima: na prazan želudac, nakon odlaska na
WC i bez odjeće.
Molimo da obratite pozornost da kod jedinice za težinu
vrijednost nije prikazana kao decimalna vrijednost. Prikaz je dvotočkom
podijeljen na dva segmenta. Lijevo od dvotočke u jedinici težine
se isključivo cijeli brojevi. Ostatak težine u jedinici težine
desno od dvotočke.

7.2 Automatsko isključivanje
Osobna vaga posjeduje automatsko isključivanje (Auto-Power-Off).
Otprilike 10 sekundi nakon što siđete s površine za stajanje (2) osobna vaga će se automatski
ugasiti.
Ako nakon što je mjerenje težine završeno, ne siđete s površine za stajanje (2), osobna vaga
će se također automatski ugasiti nakon oko 10 sekundi.
7.3 Promjena baterije
Promijenite bateriju kada je prazna. Za promjenu litijske baterije
CR2032 skinite poklopac pretinca za bateriju (4) na donjoj strani
osobne vage na način da prst gurnete u udubljenje bočno od
pretinca za bateriju (4). Sada podignite poklopac s pretinca za
bateriju (4).
Da biste izvadili bateriju, gurnite je malo prema dolje (vidi smjer
strelice na slici). Nakon toga možete izvaditi bateriju iz držača.
Sada umetnite novu litijsku bateriju CR2032. Pri umetanju obratite
pozornost na ispravan polaritet koji je označen u pretincu za bateriju
(4), + simbol treba biti vidljiv na litijskoj bateriji CR2032 kao što je
prikazano na slici pored.
Zatim ponovo vratite poklopac na pretinac za bateriju (4). Osobna
vaga sada je spremna za rad.

8. Rješavanje problema
8.1 Nema prikaza na LCD zaslonu
Litijska baterija CR2032 je prazna. Molimo da zamijenite litijsku bateriju CR2032 novom.

8.2 Prikaz „Lo“ na LCD zaslonu, a vaga se isključuje
Litijska baterija CR2032 gotovo je prazna. Molimo da zamijenite litijsku bateriju CR2032
novom. Molimo da uz to obratite pozornost na napomene u poglavlju
„Promjena baterije“.
8.3 Prikaz „Err“ na LCD zaslonu
Težina prekoračuje maksimalnu nosivost od 180kg / 396lb. Odmah trebate sići s površine
za stajanje (2) na osobnoj vagi kako biste izbjegli njezino oštećivanje.
9. Održavanje / čišćenje
Radovi održavanja potrebni su ako se osobna vaga ošteti, npr. ako je kućište uređaja oštećeno,
ako je u unutrašnjost osobne vage prodrla tekućina ili predmeti ili ako je bila izložena kiši ili vlazi.
Nadalje, radovi održavanja potrebni su i ako vaga ne radi besprijekorno ili je pala. Ako utvrdite
nastajanje dima, neobične zvukove ili mirise, odmah izvadite bateriju iz osobne vage. U tim
slučajevima ne smijete dalje upotrebljavati osobnu vagu prije nego je pregleda stručna osoba. Sve
radove održavanja smije provoditi samo kvalificirano stručno osoblje. Nikada ne otvarajte kućište
osobne vage. Čistite je samo čistom, suhom krpom, nikako ne agresivnim tekućinama.
10. Upute u vezi zaštite okoliša i mjere zbrinjavanja
Ako se na proizvodu nalazi ovaj simbol prekrižene kante za otpad, proizvod podliježe
europskoj Direktivi 2012/19/EU.
Svi električni i elektronički uređaji trebaju se odložiti odvojeno od kućanskog otpada
na službeno predviđenim mjestima. Zahvaljujući propisnom odlaganju starih uređaja
izbjegavate štete po okoliš i ne ugrožavate osobno zdravlje. Prije nego uređaj bacite u otpad
trebate izvaditi bateriju.

Daljnje informacije o odlaganju starih uređaja dobit ćete kod gradske uprave, u službi za
odlaganje otpada ili u trgovini u kojoj ste kupili proizvod.
I ambalažu odložite neškodljivo za okoliš. Karton možete predati na mjestima za
skupljanje starog papira ili na javnim sabiralištima za recikliranje. Folije i plastika, koji
se isporučuju, predaju se lokalnom komunalnom poduzeća i odlažu neškodljivo za
okoliš.
Prilikom zbrinjavanja vodite računa o oznakama na ambalažnom materijalu koji je
označen kraticama (a) i brojevima (b), čije je značenje sljedeće:
1–7: plastika / 20–22: papir i karton / 80-98: kompozitni materijali
10.1 Odlaganje baterija
Brinite se o zaštiti okoliša. Ne bacajte prazne baterije u kućanski otpad. Trebate ih
predati na sabirnom mjesto za stare baterije. Uzmite u obzir da se baterije smiju
predati u sabirni spremnik za stare baterije uređaja samo u ispražnjenom stanju,
odnosno kod baterija koje nisu u potpunosti ispražnjene treba poduzeti mjere
predostrožnosti od kratkih spojeva.
11. Oznake sukladnosti
Proizvod udovoljava zahtjevima primjenjivih europskih i nacionalnih direktiva. Potvrda
o sukladnosti je priložena. Proizvođač posjeduje odgovarajuće deklaracije i
dokumentaciju.

na ovaj proizvod dajemo trogodišnje jamstvo koje vrijedi od datuma kupnje. Ukoliko se kod ovog
proizvoda pojave nedostaci, imate zakonska prava koja možete ostvariti kod prodavača ovog
proizvoda. Naše niže navedeno jamstvo ne ograničava ta zakonska prava.
Jamstveni uvjeti
Jamstveni rok počinje teći od datuma kupnje. Molimo Vas da sačuvate originalan račun. On će
Vam poslužiti kao dokaz kupnje. Ako se u roku od tri godine od datuma kupnje ovog proizvoda
pojave pogreške u materijalu ili proizvodne pogreške, proizvod ćemo Vam – prema našem izboru besplatno popraviti ili zamijeniti.
Jamstveni rok i zakonska prava u slučaju nedostataka
Garancija ne produžuje jamstveni rok. To vrijedi i za zamijenjene i popravljene dijelove. Štete i
nedostaci koji postoje već i pri kupnji trebate odmah prijaviti nakon raspakiravanja. Popravci koji
budu potrebni po isteku jamstvenog roka se dodatno naplaćuju.
Opseg jamstva
Uređaj je pažljivo proizveden prema najstrožim smjernicama kvalitete i savjesno provjeren prije
isporuke. Jamstvo vrijedi za pogreške materijala ili proizvodne pogreške. Ovo jamstvo ne
obuhvaća dijelove proizvoda koji su izloženi neuobičajenom habanju i zbog toga se mogu
okarakterizirati kao potrošni dijelovi ili pak oštećenja lomljivim dijelova, npr. prekidač, punjive
baterije ili one koje su od stakla. Jamstvo prestaje ako je proizvod oštećen, nije stručno korišten ili
održavan. Za stručnu uporabu proizvoda točno treba poštivati sve upute navedene u uputama za
rukovanje. Obavezno treba izbjegavati svrhe uporabe i radnje koje ne preporučujemo u uputama
za rukovanje ili na koje upozoravamo. Proizvod je namijenjen samo za privatnu, ali ne i
profesionalnu uporabu. Jamstvo se gasi u slučaju zlouporabe i nestručnog rukovanja, primjene sile
ili pri zahvatima koje ne obavlja naš ovlašteni servis. S popravkom ili zamjenom proizvoda ne
započinje novi jamstveni rok.
Postupanje u slučaju pokrivenog jamstvom
Da biste osigurali brzu obradu zahtjeva, slijedite sljedeće upute:
- Prije puštanja u rad svog proizvoda, pažljivo pročitajte priloženu dokumentaciju. Ako
