metal or ceramics) that are used in private households.

Package contents

The appliance is supplied with the following components as standard:

1) Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the
box.

2) Remove all packaging materials and any adhesive labels from the appli­ance.

NOTE

► Check the package for completeness and for signs of visible damage.
► If the delivery is not complete or has been damaged due to defective

packaging or transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see section
Warranty and Service).

Disposal of packaging materials

The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage.
The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness
and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.

Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste which is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.

► If possible, keep the original packaging of the appliance during the

warranty period so that the appliance can be packed properly for return
shipment in the event of a warranty claim.

The CO time (continuous operation time) is the amount of time an appliance

can be operated without the motor overheating and becoming damaged.
When the specified CO time has been reached, the appliance must be

Safety guidelines

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

► Protect the product from moisture. Only use it in dry rooms; do

not use outdoors or in moist environments.

► Ensure that the power cable cannot be damaged during use, in

particular not from sharp blades.

► To prevent accidents, have defective plugs and/or power cables

replaced immediately by an authorised specialist technician or
our Customer Service department.

► Never open any housing parts.

NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids!
Otherwise there is a risk of an electric shock.

► After use or during absences, always remove the plug from the

mains power socket. Mains voltage is on the product for as long
as the mains plug is in the socket.

► Ensure that the plug can be reached at all times in order to be

able to pull it out of the socket in case of danger.

► This appliance can be operated with any commercially available

mains adapter as long as the technical data of the mains adapter
comply with those given in the section “Technical data”.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

► Check to ensure that the appliance is in a serviceable condition

before use. If there are visible damages, you may not continue
the use of the appliance. In that case, contact customer service
first to check the appliance for safety.

► Ensure that no hair, loose clothing or body parts come into

contact with the rotating grinding stone.

► Wear protective gloves to avoid injury from sharp blades.
► This appliance should not be used by children.
► The appliance should always be disconnected from the mains

when unattended and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.

► The appliance and its connecting cable must be kept away from

children.

► Children must not use the appliance as a plaything.
► This appliance may be used by persons with limited physical, sen-

sory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge,
provided that they are under supervision or have been told how
to use the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks.

► Use the appliance only if the covers are fitted properly on the

grinding stones.

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► Do not use this appliance for wet sharpening.

Preparation

1) Connect the plug  of the mains adapter  with the socket  on the
appliance.

2) Place the appliance on a suitable and level surface.

3) Connect the mains adapter  into a power socket.

4) Switch on the appliance using the On/Off switch .

NOTE

► The knives you would like to sharpen must be free from dirt and food

residues!

Sharpen knives

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► Never exceed the maximum operating time of 2 minutes. Let the appliance

cool down for about 20 minutes after 2 minutes of operation, before using
it again.

► Do not exert any firm pressure with the blade on the grinding stone – this

damages the blade and does not accelerate the sharpening process.

► To sharpen knives with ceramic blades, use only sharpening base 2 .

Double-sided grind/smooth grind

For a double-sided grind, the blade of the knife is sharpened from both sides
toward the cutting edge. Smooth grind is characterised by the knife's smooth
blade, meaning no waves or notches are ground in it.

NOTES ON THE HANDLING OF THE APPLIANCE

► Prevent that the blade cuts into the plastic housing of the appliance when it

is pulled through.
Accidental cuts into the housing, however, do not compromise the functioning
of the appliance.

► To sharpen knives with ceramic blades, use only sharpening base 2 .

For this purpose, follow the instructions starting from step 3).

► Use the two slits of sharpening base 1  only for very dull knives. For this

purpose, follow the instructions starting from step 1).

1) Always hold the appliance with your left hand.

2) Hold the knife at the handle and pull the blade in a steady movement once
through the left and once through the right slit of sharpening base 1 .
Exert slight pressure when sharpening in the direction of the sharpening
stone to ensure even contact with the knife.

NOTE

► Very dull knives might have to be pulled through more than once.

NOTE

► Use both slits of sharpening bases / equally frequently to achieve

even sharpening.

3) Hold the knife at the handle and now pull the blade in a steady movement
through the left and through the right slit of sharpening base 2  in alternation.
If necessary, pull the blade multiple times through both slits of sharpening
base 2 .
Normally, it is sufficient to pull the blade 2 times slowly (approx. 4 - 6 seconds)
and 2 times quickly (approx. 1 - 2 seconds) through both slits of sharpening
base 2 :

NOTE

► Very dull knives might have to be pulled through more than once.

4) If you believe that the blade has reached the desired sharpness, test it on
a piece of cutting matter.
Be sure to clean the blade again before you might possibly re-sharpen it.

5) To re-sharpen the blade, pull it once more through the slits of sharpening
base 2  in alternation, until the desired sharpness is reached.

6) If you are satisfied with the result, turn the appliance off on the On/Off
switch .

7) Clean the blade thoroughly before you use the knife again, in order to
remove potential grinding residues such as metal dust or chips.

One-sided grind/serrated edge

For a one-sided grind, one side of the blade runs perfectly straight toward the
cutting edge and the other side angularly up to the cutting edge of the knife.
The angled side is the sharpened side. This sharpening is primarily used on knives
with serrated edge. The serrated edge is characterised by its wave-shaped
cutting edge.

NOTICES ON THE HANDLING OF THE APPLIANCE

► Prevent that the blade cuts into the plastic housing of the appliance when it

is pulled through.

left slit of the sharpening base 2  – depending on which side the knife's

blade is ground.

2) Hold the knife at the handle and now pull the blade alternating through the
left and through the right slit of sharpening base 2 in a steady movement  –
on which side of the knife's blade has the grind. The side of the blade with
the grind must point to the black protective cap of the sharpening base 2 
in the process.
If necessary, pull the blade multiple times through slit .

Cleaning

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

► First, pull out the mains adapter  from the socket and pull out plug 

from socket , before you clean the appliance.

NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids!
Otherwise there is a risk of an electric shock.

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. These can damage the

surfaces of the appliance.

■ Clean the housing using only a dry or lightly moistened cloth. For stubborn

soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth.

■ Wipe off the mains adapter  with a damp cloth. Ensure that the appliance

and the mains adapter  are completely dry before using the appliance
again.

■ In case of frequent use, grinding dust and metal residues might settle on the

grinding stones on the inside.
Clean the grinding stones as follows:

– Hold one finger against the wide end of the black protective caps of

sharpening bases / and press down against the short end at
the same time. Lift off the protective caps of sharpening bases /
simultaneously.

– Clean the now visible grinding stones using a brush or similar.
– Fit the two black protective caps / back on. Ensure that you do not

confuse the protective caps.

Storage

■ Clean the appliance as described in the section "Cleaning".

■ Remove the mains adapter  from the appliance.

■ Store the appliance and the mains adapter  in a clean and dry location.

Disposal

Never dispose of the appliance in normal domestic waste.
This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive
2012/19/EU (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company or your
municipal waste disposal facility. Please observe applicable regulations.
Please contact your waste disposal facility if you are in any doubt.

Warranty and service

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase.
The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined
before delivery.

Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim,
please make contact by telephone with our Customer Service Department.
Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.

NOTICE

► The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects,

but not for transport damage, wearing parts or for damage to fragile
components, e.g. buttons or batteries.

This product is for domestic use only and is not intended for commercial use.
The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force
and internal tampering not carried out by our authorised service branch.

Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty
period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This applies also to
replaced and repaired parts.

Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immedi­ately after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the date of purchase.

Repairs made after the lapse of the warranty period are subject to charge.

Furnitura

În mod standard, aparatul este livrat cu următoarele componente:

▯ Instrucţiuni de utilizare

1) Scoateţi toate componentele aparatului şi instrucţiunile de utilizare din cutie.

2) Îndepărtaţi de pe aparat toate ambalajele şi eventualele etichete.

INDICAŢIE

► Verificaţi dacă furnitura este completă şi dacă prezintă deteriorări vizibile.
► Dacă furnitura nu este completă sau dacă există deteriorări rezultate în

urma transportului sau a ambalajului defectuos, apelaţi linia telefonică
directă de service (a se vedea capitolul Garanţia şi service-ul).

Eliminarea ambalajului

Ambalajul protejează aparatul împotriva deteriorărilor în timpul transportului.
Materialele de ambalare sunt alese conform compatibilităţii acestora cu mediul
şi aspectelor tehnice privind eliminarea, fiind astfel reciclabile.

Reintroducerea ambalajelor în circuitul de materiale contribuie la economia de
materie primă şi reduce cantitatea de deşeuri. Eliminaţi ambalajul de care nu mai
aveţi nevoie conform prevederilor locale în vigoare.

INDICAŢIE

► Dacă este posibil, păstraţi ambalajul original al aparatului pe perioada

garanţiei pentru a putea ambala aparatul corespunzător în caz de utilizare
a garanţiei.

Indicaţii de siguranţă

PERICOL DE ELECTROCUTARE

►

Protejaţi produsul împotriva umezelii. Utilizaţi aparatul numai în
încăperi uscate, niciodată în aer liber sau în medii umede.

► Se va evita deteriorarea cablului de alimentare pe durata operării,

în special din cauza lamelor de cuţit ascuţite.

► Pentru a evita pericolele, solicitaţi imediat înlocuirea de către

personalul de specialitate autorizat sau de către serviciul tehnic
a ştecărelor sau a cablurilor de alimentare deteriorate.

► Nu deschideţi niciodată niciuna dintre componentele carcasei.

Nu introduceţi niciodată aparatul în apă sau în alte lichide!
În caz contrar, există pericol de moarte prin electrocutare.

► După utilizare sau în absenţa dvs. scoateţi întotdeauna ştecărul

din priză. Produsul mai este sub tensiune atât timp cât ştecărul
mai este în priză.

► Asiguraţi-vă că ştecărul este accesibil în orice moment, pentru a-l

putea scoate repede din priză în caz de pericol.

► Acest aparat poate fi utilizat cu orice adaptor de reţea disponibil în

comerţ, cu condiţia ca datele tehnice ale acestuia să corespundă
cu cele indicate în capitolul „Date tehnice”.

AVERTIZARE! PERICOL DE RĂNIRE!

► Înainte de fiecare utilizare controlaţi dacă aparatul se află în

stare ireproşabilă. Dacă se constată defecţiuni, aparatul nu mai
trebuie utilizat. În aceste cazuri, aparatul trebuie verificat în privin­ţa siguranţei de către serviciul pentru clienţi.

► Asiguraţi-vă că părul, îmbrăcămintea largă sau membrele nu vor

atinge piatra de ascuţit aflată în rotaţie.

► Purtaţi mănuşi de protecţie pentru a evita rănirea provocată de

lamele ascuţite.

► Acest aparat nu trebuie utilizat de către copii.
► Atunci când nu este posibilă supravegherea şi înaintea asamblării,

dezasamblării sau curăţării, aparatul trebuie scos întotdeauna din
priză.

► Aparatul şi cablul de conexiune nu se vor lăsa la îndemâna copi-

ilor.

► Copiilor le este interzis să se joace cu aparatul.
► Acest aparat poate fi utilizat de persoane cu abilităţi fizice,

senzoriale sau mentale reduse sau fără experienţă şi/sau fără
cunoştinţe necesare, dacă sunt supravegheate sau dacă au fost
instruite cu privire la utilizarea sigură a acestui aparat şi au înţeles
pericolele cu privire la acesta.

► Utilizaţi aparatul numai cu capacele aşezate în mod corespunzător

pe pietrele de ascuţit.

ATENŢIE - PAGUBE MATERIALE!

► Nu utilizaţi aparatul pentru ascuţirea umedă.

Pregătiri

1) Conectaţi stecărul  adaptorului de reţea  la mufa  de la aparat.

2) Aşezaţi aparatul pe o suprafaţă plană.

3) Introduceţi adaptorul de reţea  în priză.

4) Porniţi aparatul de la comutatorul pornit / oprit .

INDICAŢIE

► Cuţitele pe care doriţi să le ascuţiţi, nu trebuie să prezinte urme de murdărie

sau resturi de alimente!

Ascuţirea cuţitelor

ATENŢIE - PAGUBE MATERIALE!

► Nu depăşiţi niciodată durata maximă de funcţionare de 2 minute. După

2 minute de funcţionare lăsaţi aparatul să se răcească cca 20 de minute
înainte de a-l utiliza din nou.

► Nu apăsaţi cu putere lama pe piatra de ascuţit; această manevră va deteriora

lama şi nu va accelera procesul de ascuţire.

► Pentru ascuţirea cuţitelor cu lame ceramice se va utiliza numai suportul de

ascuţit 2 .

Tăiş dublu/tăiş neted

În cazul cuţitelor cu tăiş dublu, lama cuţitului este ascuţită pe ambele părţi, până
la muchia de tăiere. Tăişul neted se remarcă prin netezime, aşadar lama cuţitului
nu prezintă ondulaţii sau dinţi.

INDICAŢII PRIVIND MANIPULAREA APARATULUI

► Atunci când deplasaţi lama, evitaţi să tăiaţi în carcasa de plastic a apara-

tului la interior.
Cu toate acestea, tăieturile involuntare aplicate în interiorul carcasei nu
afectează funcţionarea aparatului.

► Pentru ascuţirea cuţitelor cu lame ceramice se va utiliza numai suportul de

ascuţit 2 . În acest scop urmaţi indicaţiile prezentate începând cu pasul 3).

► Utilizaţi ambele fante ale suportului de ascuţit 1  numai pentru cuţite foarte

tocite. În acest scop urmaţi indicaţiile prezentate începând cu pasul 1).

1) Ţineţi aparatul ferm cu mâna stângă.

2) Ţineţi cuţitul de mâner şi treceţi lama, cu o mişcare uniformă, o dată prin
fanta stângă şi o dată prin fanta dreaptă a suportului de ascuţit 1 .

INDICAŢIE

► Utilizaţi ambele fante ale suportului de ascuţit / cu aceeaşi frecvenţă,

în vederea asigurării unei ascuţiri uniforme.

3) Ţineţi cuţitul de mâner şi treceţi lama, de această dată alternativ, cu o mişcare
uniformă, prin fanta stângă şi prin fanta dreaptă a suportului de ascuţit 2 .
Dacă este necesar, treceţi lama de mai multe ori prin ambele fante ale
suportului de ascuţit 2 .
În mod normal este suficient ca lama să fie trecută de 2 ori încet (cca 4 -
6 secunde) şi de 2 ori repede (cca 1 - 2 secunde) prin ambele fante ale
suportului de ascuţit 2 :

4) Dacă consideraţi că s-a obţinut gradul de ascuţire dorit, testaţi lama pe un
produs.
Curăţaţi lama întotdeauna înaintea unei eventuale ascuţiri ulterioare.

5) Pentru ascuţirea ulterioară treceţi din nou lama alternativ prin fantele suportului
de ascuţit 2 , până la obţinerea gradului de ascuţire dorit.

6) Dacă sunteţi satisfăcut de rezultat, opriţi aparatul de la comutatorul pornit/
oprit .

7) Curăţaţi temeinic lama înainte de a utiliza din nou cuţitul pentru a îndepărta
eventualele resturi provenite de la ascuţire, cum ar fi praful sau aşchiile
metalice.

Tăiş simplu/tăiş ondulat

În cazul tăişului simplu, o parte a lamei este perfect dreaptă până la muchia de
tăiere a cuţitului, cealaltă parte fiind înclinată. Partea înclinată este cea ascuţită.
Acest tip de tăiş este utilizat în special în cazul cuţitelor cu tăiş ondulat. Tăişul
ondulat se remarcă prin forma ondulată a tăişului muchiei de tăiere.

INDICAŢII PRIVIND MANIPULAREA APARATULUI

► Atunci când deplasaţi lama, evitaţi să tăiaţi în carcasa de plastic a apara-

tului la interior.
Cu toate acestea, tăieturile involuntare aplicate în interiorul carcasei nu
afectează funcţionarea aparatului.

► Pentru ascuţirea cuţitelor cu lame ceramice se va utiliza numai suportul de

ascuţit 2 .

► Pentru ascuţirea cuţitelor cu tăiş ondulat/cu dinţi se va utiliza numai suportul

de ascuţit 2 . În cazul cuţitelor cu tăiş ondulat/cu dinţi, ascuţiţi numai
partea lamei pe care se află dinţii! Folosiţi fie numai fanta dreaptă, fie
numai fanta stângă a suportului de ascuţit 2  - în funcţie de partea pe
care este ascuţită lama cuţitului.

1) Ţineţi aparatul ferm cu mâna stângă.

INDICAŢIE

► În cazul cuţitelor cu tăiş simplu/ondulat/cu dinţi, ascuţiţi numai partea lamei

pe care se află tăişul. Folosiţi fie numai fanta dreaptă, fie numai fanta stângă
a suportului de ascuţit 2  - în funcţie de partea pe care este ascuţită lama
cuţitului.

2) Ţineţi cuţitul de mâner şi treceţi acum lama cu o mişcare uniformă prin fanta
stângă, respectiv prin fanta dreaptă a suportului de ascuţit 2  - în funcţie
de partea pe care este ascuţită lama cuţitului. La această operaţiune, partea
ascuţită a lamei trebuie să fie orientată către capacul de protecţie de culoare
neagră al suportului de ascuţit 2 .
Dacă este necesar, treceţi lama de mai multe ori prin fantă .

PERICOL DE ELECTROCUTARE

► Înainte de a curăţa aparatul, scoateţi mai întâi adaptorul de reţea  din

priză şi stecărul  din mufă .

Nu introduceţi niciodată aparatul în apă sau în alte lichide! În caz
contrar, există pericol de moarte prin electrocutare.

ATENŢIE - PAGUBE MATERIALE!

► Nu utilizaţi substanţe de curăţare agresive sau abrazive. Acestea atacă

suprafaţa aparatului.

■ Curăţaţi carcasa cu o lavetă uscată sau cu o cârpă uşor umezită. În cazul

unor pete de murdărie persistente, adăugaţi pe lavetă un detergent blând.

■ Ştergeţi adaptorul de reţea  cu o lavetă umedă. Asiguraţi-vă că aparatul

şi adaptorul de reţea  sunt complet uscate înainte de a utiliza din nou
aparatul.

■ În cazul utilizării frecvente este posibilă depunerea prafului provenit de la

ascuţire şi a resturilor metalice pe pietrele de ascuţit din interior.
Curăţaţi pietrele de ascuţit după cum urmează:

– Ţineţi cu un deget capătul lat al capacelor de protecţie de culoare neagră

ale suportului de ascuţit / şi apăsaţi concomitent capătul scurt.
Ridicaţi concomitent capacele de protecţie ale suportului de ascuţit /.

– Curăţaţi pietrele de ascuţit devenite acum vizibile cu o pensulă sau cu alt

instrument similar.

– Aşezaţi la loc cele două capace de protecţie de culoare neagră /.

Evitaţi inversarea capacelor de protecţie.

Depozitarea

■ Curăţaţi aparatul conform descrierii din capitolul „Curăţarea“.

■ Îndepărtaţi adaptorul de reţea  de la aparat.

■ Depozitaţi aparatul şi adaptorul de reţea  într-un loc curat şi uscat.

Eliminarea

Nu aruncaţi aparatul sub nicio formă în gunoiul menajer obişnuit.
Acest produs se află sub incidenţa Directivei europene
2012/19/EU (Deşeuri de echipamente electrice şi electronice).

Eliminaţi aparatul prin intermediul unei firme autorizate sau prin intermediul
centrului local de colectare a deşeurilor. Respectaţi reglementările actuale în vi­goare. Dacă aveţi nelămuriri, contactaţi serviciul local de eliminare a deşeurilor.

Garanţia şi service-ul

Pentru acest aparat se acordă o garanţie de 3 ani începând cu data cumpărării.
Aparatul a fost produs cu grijă şi verificat cu scrupulozitate înaintea livrării.

Păstraţi bonul de casă pentru a dovedi cumpărarea. Dacă aveţi solicitări privind
garanţia, contactaţi telefonic centrul dumneavoastră de service. Numai astfel
poate fi asigurată o expediere gratuită a produsului dumneavoastră.

INDICAŢIE

► Garanţia se acordă numai pentru defectele de material sau de fabricaţie, nu şi

pentru daune de transport, piese de uzură sau deteriorări ale componentelor
fragile, de exemplu, întrerupător.

Aparatul este destinat numai pentru uz privat şi nu pentru o utilizare profesională.
În cazul manevrării abuzive sau necorespunzătoare, uzului de forţă şi inter­venţiilor care nu au fost realizate de către filiala noastră autorizată de service,
garanţia îşi pierde valabilitatea.

Drepturile dumneavoastră legale nu sunt limitate prin această garanţie. Perioada
de garanţie nu este prelungită după realizarea reparaţiilor realizate în perioada

Lieferumfang

1) Entnehmen Sie alle Teile des Gerätes und die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem
Karton.

2) Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial und eventuelle Aufkleber vom
Gerät.

► Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf sichtbare Schäden.

Entsorgung der Verpackung

Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungs­materialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichts­punkten ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.

Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoffe und

STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR

► Schützen Sie das Produkt vor Feuchtigkeit. Verwenden Sie es nur in

Vorbereitungen

1) Verbinden Sie den Stecker  des Netzadapters  mit der Buchse  am
Gerät.

2) Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einen ebenen Untergrund.

3) Stecken Sie den Netzadapter  in eine Netzsteckdose.

4) Schalten Sie das Gerät am Ein-/Aus-Schalter  ein.

HINWEIS

► Die Messer, die Sie schleifen wollen, müssen frei von Verschmutzungen und

Lebensmittelresten sein!

Messer schärfen

ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!

► Überschreiten Sie niemals die maximale Betriebszeit von 2 Minuten. Lassen

Sie das Gerät nach 2 Minuten Betrieb ca. 20 Minuten abkühlen, bevor Sie
es erneut verwenden.

► Üben Sie keinen festen Druck mit der Klinge auf den Schleifstein aus - dies

beschädigt die Klinge und beschleunigt nicht den Schleifvorgang.

► Zum Schleifen von Messern mit Klingen aus Keramik benutzen Sie aus-

schließlich den Schleifsockel 2 .

Beidseitiger Schliff/glatter Schliff

Bei dem beidseitigen Schliff ist die Klinge des Messers von beiden Seiten zur
Schneide hin geschliffen. Der glatte Schliff zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die
Klinge des Messers glatt ist, also keine Wellen oder Zähne eingeschliffen sind.

HINWEISE ZUM UMGANG MIT DEM GERÄT

► Verhindern Sie es, mit der Klinge beim Durchziehen in das Kunststoffgehäu-

se des Gerätes zu schneiden.
Versehentliche Schnitte in das Gehäuse beeinträchtigen jedoch nicht die
Funktion des Gerätes.

► Zum Schleifen von Messern mit Klingen aus Keramik benutzen Sie aus-

schließlich den Schleifsockel 2 . Befolgen Sie hierfür die Anweisungen
ab Handlungsschritt 3).

► Benutzen Sie die beiden Schlitze des Schleifsockels 1  ausschließlich für

sehr stumpfe Messer. Befolgen Sie hierfür die Anweisungen ab Handlungs­schritt 1).

1) Halten Sie das Gerät mit der linken Hand fest.

2) Halten Sie das Messer am Griff und ziehen Sie die Klinge mit einer gleich­mäßigen Bewegung einmal durch den linken und einmal durch den rechten
Schlitz des Schleifsockels 1 .
Üben Sie beim Schärfen einen leichten Druck in Richtung Schleifstein aus, um
einen gleichmäßigen Kontakt mit dem Messer zu gewährleisten.

HINWEIS

► Sehr stumpfe Messer müssen eventuell häufiger durchgezogen werden.

HINWEIS

► Verwenden Sie beide Schlitze der Schleifsockel / mit gleicher Häufig-

keit, damit Sie eine gleichmäßige Schärfung erreichen.

3) Halten Sie das Messer am Griff und ziehen Sie die Klinge nun abwechselnd
mit einer gleichmäßigen Bewegung durch den linken und rechten Schlitz des
Schleifsockels 2 .
Ziehen Sie die Klinge, falls nötig, mehrmals durch beide Schlitze des
Schleifsockels 2 .
Im Normalfall reicht es aus, die Klinge 2 mal langsam (ca. 4 - 6 Sekunden)
und 2 mal schnell (ca. 1 - 2 Sekunden) durch beide Schlitze des Schleifso­ckels 2  zu ziehen:

HINWEIS

► Sehr stumpfe Messer müssen eventuell häufiger durchgezogen werden.

4) Wenn Sie denken, dass die Klinge die gewünschte Schärfe erreicht hat,
testen Sie dieses an einem Stück Schnittgut.
Reinigen Sie die Klinge auf jeden Fall wieder, bevor Sie diese eventuell
nachschleifen.

5) Zum Nachschleifen ziehen Sie die Klinge nochmals abwechselnd durch die
Schlitze des Schleifsockels 2 , bis die gewünschte Schärfe erreicht ist.

6) Wenn Sie mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden sind, schalten Sie das Gerät am Ein-/
Aus-Schalter  aus.

7) Reinigen Sie die Klinge gründlich, bevor Sie das Messer wieder verwenden,
um eventuelle Schleifrückstände wie Metallstaub oder -späne zu beseitigen.

Einseitiger Schliff/Wellenschliff

Beim einseitigen Schliff verläuft eine Seite der Klinge absolut gerade zur Schnei­de hin, die andere Seite schräg bis zur Schneide des Messers. Die schräge Seite
ist die geschliffene Seite. Dieser Schliff wird hauptsächlich bei Messern mit Wel­lenschliff verwendet. Der Wellenschliff zeichnet sich durch seinen wellenförmigen
Schliff der Schneide aus.

HINWEISE ZUM UMGANG MIT DEM GERÄT

► Verhindern Sie es, mit der Klinge beim Durchziehen in das Kunststoffgehäu-

se des Gerätes zu schneiden.
Versehentliche Schnitte in das Gehäuse beeinträchtigen jedoch nicht die
Funktion des Gerätes.

► Zum Schleifen von Messern mit Klingen aus Keramik benutzen Sie aus-

Wellenschliff/gezahnten Messern, ausschließlich die Seite der Klinge, an
der die Zahnung eingeschliffen ist! Benutzen Sie entweder nur den rechten
bzw. nur den linken Schlitz des Schleifsockels 2  - je nachdem an wel­cher Seite die Klinge Ihres Messer geschliffen ist.

1) Halten Sie das Gerät mit der linken Hand fest.

HINWEIS

► Schärfen Sie bei Messern mit einseitigem Schliff/Wellenschliff/gezahnten

Messern, ausschließlich die Seite der Klinge, an der sich der Schliff befin­det. Benutzen Sie entweder nur den rechten bzw. nur den linken Schlitz des
Schleifsockels 2  - je nachdem an welcher Seite die Klinge Ihres Messer
geschliffen ist.

2) Halten Sie das Messer am Griff und ziehen Sie die Klinge nun mit einer
gleichmäßigen Bewegung durch den linken bzw. den rechten Schlitz des
Schleifsockels 2  - je nachdem an welcher Seite die Klinge Ihres Messer
geschliffen ist. Die geschliffene Seite der Klinge muss dabei zu der schwar­zen Schutzkappe des Schleifsockels 2  weisen.
Ziehen Sie die Klinge, falls nötig, mehrmals durch den Schlitz .

ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!

► Keine scharfen oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel verwenden. Das greift

die Oberfläche des Gerätes an.

■ Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse mit einem trockenen Tuch oder leicht angefeuch-

teten Lappen. Bei hartnäckigeren Verschmutzungen geben Sie ein mildes
Spülmittel auf das Tuch.

■ Wischen Sie den Netzadapter  mit einem feuchten Tuch ab. Stellen Sie si-

cher, dass das Gerät und der Netzadapter  wieder vollständig getrocknet
sind, bevor Sie das Gerät wieder verwenden.

■ Bei häufigem Gebrauch können sich Schleifstaub und Metallreste an den

innenliegenden Schleifsteinen absetzen.
Reinigen Sie die Schleifsteine folgendermaßen:

– Halten Sie mit einem Finger gegen das breite Ende der schwarzen

Schutzkappen der Schleifsockel / und drücken Sie gleichzeitig ge­gen das kurze Ende. Heben Sie Schutzkappen der Schleifsockel /
gleichzeitig nach oben ab.

– Reinigen Sie die nun sichtbaren Schleifsteine mit einem Pinsel o.ä. .
– Setzen Sie die beiden schwarzen Schutzkappen / wieder auf.

Achten Sie darauf, die Schutzkappen nicht zu vertauschen.

Aufbewahren

■ Reinigen Sie das Gerät wie im Kapitel „Reinigen“ beschrieben.

■ Entfernen Sie den Netzadapter  vom Gerät.

■ Bewahren Sie das Gerät und den Netzadapter  an einem sauberen und

trockenen Ort auf.

Entsorgung

Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll.
Dieses Produkt unterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EU
(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über
Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden
Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in
Verbindung.

Garantie und Service

Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Das Gerät wurde
sorgfältig produziert und vor Anlieferung gewissenhaft geprüft.

Bitte bewahren Sie den Kassenbon als Nachweis für den Kauf auf. Bitte setzen
Sie sich im Garantiefall mit Ihrer Servicestelle telefonisch in Verbindung. Nur so
kann eine kostenlose Einsendung Ihrer Ware gewährleistet werden.

HINWEIS

► Die Garantieleistung gilt nur für Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler, nicht

aber für Transportschäden, Verschleißteile oder für Beschädigungen an
zerbrechlichen Teilen, z. B. Schalter oder Akkus.

Das Produkt ist lediglich für den privaten und nicht für den gewerblichen
Gebrauch bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher und unsachgemäßer Behandlung,
Gewaltanwendung und bei Eingriffen, die nicht von unserer autorisierten Service­Niederlassung vorgenommen wurden, erlischt die Garantie.

Ihre gesetzlichen Rechte werden durch diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt. Die
Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch für
ersetzte und reparierte Teile.

Eventuell schon beim Kauf vorhandene Schäden und Mängel müssen sofort nach
dem Auspacken gemeldet werden, spätestens aber zwei Tage nach Kaufdatum.

Nach Ablauf der Garantiezeit anfallende Reparaturen sind kostenpflichtig.
