Intended Use

The appliance is intended for checking the charge of a
12 volt battery. In addition, the charging function of a
generator can also be tested. The appliance is not meant
for commercial use.

Operating instructions

Safety instructions

 Danger! Avoid danger to life and limbs caused

by improper use!

• Do not operate the appliance with a damaged
cable.

• The measurement cable must be placed so that they
cannot be caught by rotating parts within the engine
compartment.

 CAUTION! Damaged measurement cables create a

life-threatening risk of electric shock.

• Dispose of the device when the measurement cables
have become damaged. The measurement cables
are not intended to be repaired.

 Danger of explosion and fire! Make certain that

explosive or combustible substances, such as petrol
or solvent, cannot be ignited during use of the appli­ance!
Ignition sources (e.g. open light, burning cigars,
cigarettes or electric sparks) must be kept away from
the starter batteries.

 Danger of chemical burns! Protect your eyes and

skin against chemical burns caused by acid (sulphu­ric acid) upon contact with the battery! Do not look
directly at the connected battery and use the
following:

acid-resistant safety glasses, clothing and gloves! If
your eyes or skin come into contact with sulphuric
acid, rinse the affected part of the body with plenty
of clear running water and seek immediate medical
assistance!

• Avoid an electric short-circuit when connecting the
appliance to the battery. Connect the positive pole
terminal clamp only to the positive pole of the batte­ry. Connect the negative pole terminal clamp only to
the negative pole of the battery.

• Connect the terminal clamps ("–" and "+") only to
the insulated area!

 Attention! Avoid damage caused by improper

use!

• Only use the appliance with the included original
parts!

• Protect the contact surfaces of the battery.

Connection

• First connect the red quick-connect terminal clamp to
the positive pole (+) of the battery.

• Then connect the black quick-connect terminal clamp
to the negative pole (-) of the battery.

 The appliance can be fastened to the vehicle chassis

during the measurement using the magnetic strip
on the back of the appliance.

Testing a battery and generator

Battery test / start capacity

• If only the 11.5 volt LED lights up, the charge of the
battery is weak. The battery must be recharged.

• If the 12 volt LED also lights up, the battery is half
charged. Recharging of the battery is recommended.

• If the 12.6 volt LED also lights up, the battery is fully
charged and capable of starting.



Important:

Before charging, learn about how to maintain the
battery by reading its operating instructions!

Generator test

• Connect the appliance to the battery as described
above under "Connection".

• Start the engine and switch on all consumers
(headlights, radio, rear window heating, etc.).

• For newer vehicles, briefly increase the engine speed
up to 2500 rpm.

• If the 13.2 volt to 14.5 volt LED lights up, the genera­tor or the voltage regulator is in good condition.

• If the 15.5 volt LED lights up, the generator or volta­ge regulator is defective. In this case, contact your
automotive mechanic.

Cleaning

 Danger of electric shock

Always disconnect the appliance from the battery
before cleaning it. Under no circumstances may the
appliance be immersed in water or held under run­ning water during cleaning. No aggressive cleaning
agents may be used.

• Clean the outside of the appliance with a slightly
damp cloth.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the appliance in your nor­mal domestic waste. This product is subject
to the European guideline 2002/96/EC.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal
centre or at your community waste facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations.
In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal
centre.

Svrha uporabe

Ovaj ureðaj služi za ispitivanja stanja napunjenosti aku­mulatora (baterije) od 12 V. Osim toga može biti ispita­na i funkcija punjenja generatora. Ureðaj nije namijenjen
za komercijalnu uporabu.

Obim isporuke

Tester akumulatora i rasvjetnih generatora KH 4103
2 brzokontaktna prikljuèna steznika, gotovo montirana
(1 crveni, 1 crni)
Upute za rukovanje

Sigurnosne napomene

 Opasnost! Izbjegnite opasnost po život i opasnost

ozljeđivanja uslijed nestručne uporabe uređaja!

• Ne radite sa ureðajem, ako on ima ošteæeni kabel.

• Mjerni kablovi trebaju biti postavljeni tako, da ne
mogu biti zahvaæeni od rotirajuæih dijelova u podruè­ju motora.

 Oprez! Ošteæeni mjerni kablovi znaèe opasnost po

život uslijed strujnog udara.

• Zbrinite ureðaj, ako su mjerni kablovi ošteæeni.
Mjerni kablovi nisu prikladni za popravke.

 Opasnost od eksplozije i požara! Osigurajte, da

eksplozivne ili zapaljive tvari, npr. benzin ili otapala,
prilikom uporabe ureðaja ne mogu biti zapaljeni!
Izvore plamena (npr. otvoreno svjetlo, goruæe cigare
i cigarete ili elektriène iskre) morate držati podalje
od starterskih baterija.

 Opasnost od nagrizanja! Zaštitite oèi i kožu od na-

grizanja uslijed kiseline (sumporne kiseline) prilikom
kontakta sa akumulatorom! Ne usmjerite pogled
neposredno na prikljuèenu bateriju i upotrijebite:
zaštitne naoèale, odjeæu i rukavice postojane na
kiselinu! Ukoliko oèi ili koža doðu u kontakt sa sum­pornom kiselinom, dotiène dijelove tijela isperite sa

velikom kolièinom bistre, tekuæe vode i neizostavno
se za pomoæ obratite lijeèniku!

• Izbjegavajte elektrièni kratki spoj prilikom prikljuèi­vanja ureðaja na bateriju. Prikljuèni steznik plus-pola
spojite iskljuèivo na plus-pol baterije. Prikljuèni
steznik minus-pola spojite isk-ljuèivo na minus-pol
baterije!

• Prihvatite prikljuène steznike („–“ i „+“) iskljuèivo na
izoliranom podruèju!

 Oprez! Izbjegavajte predmetna oštećenja uslijed

nestručne uporabe!

• Ureðaj koristite iskljuèivo sa isporuèenim originalnim
dijelovima!

• Zaštitite kontaktne površine baterije.

Priključivanje

• Prvo prikljuèite crveni brzokontaktni prikljuèni steznik
na plus-pol (+) baterije.

• Zatim prikljuèite crni brzokontaktni prikljuèni steznik
na minus-pol (-) baterije.

 Pomoæu magnetne trake na stražnjoj strani ureðaj

može za vrijeme mjerenja biti prièvršæen na karoseri­ji vozila.

Ispitivanje baterije i generatora

Test baterije / startne sposobnosti

• Ukoliko svijetli samo 11,5-V-LED, stanje napunjenosti
baterije je slabo. Baterija mora biti napunjena.

• Ukoliko svijetli i signalizacija 12-V-LED, baterija je
napola napunjena. Preporuèljivo je dopuniti bateriju.

• Ukoliko svijetli i signalizacija 12,6-V-LED, baterija je
potpuno napunjena i sposobna za start.



Pažnja:

Prije punjenja se informirajte o održavanju baterije, i
to u njenim uputama za rukovanje!
