To adjust the projector’ s lens shift, focus or to zoom in and out use the Lens Shift, Focus ring or Zoom lever on the lens. To optimize image, press the AUTO ADJUST button on the cabinet or the remote control.
Using the Lens Shift

Grip the lens shift lever on the top and bottom.

Hold the lever to move the lens vertically or horizontally.

Volume ( + / – ) Buttons
Press and hold (+) to increase the volume. Press and hold (–) to decrease the volume.

Picture Button
Press to display the Picture adjustment menu. Each time this button is pressed, the highlight will move as follows: Brightness Contrast Color Hue Sharpness You can also select the Picture adjustment item by using the select up or down button. If no adjustments are performed within 3 seconds, the Picture adjustment menu will disappear.

Freeze Button
Press to freeze a picture. Press again to resume motion.

Mute Button
This button turns off the image and sound. Press again to restore the image and sound.

Aspect Button
Press to display the Aspect Ratio select menu. Each time this button is pressed, the current aspect ratio will change as follows: Normal Zoom W ide Zoom Cinema Normal You can also select the aspect ratio by using the Select button. If no adjustments are performed within 3 seconds, the Aspect Ratio select menu will disappear.

Adjusting the Tilt Foot

Press and hold the Tilt button on the front of the projector.

Lift the front edge of the projector to the desired height, and release the button to lock the Adjustable Tilt Foot.

NOTE: The POWER, AUTO ADJ., MENU, SELECT, ENTER and CANCEL buttons on the remote control perform the same functions as the corresponding buttons on the projector cabinet. The remaining buttons are on the remote control only.

Common Problems & Solutions

Check that the power cable is plugged in and that the power button on the projector cabinet or the remote control is on.
Ensure that the lamp cover is installed correctly. See page E-36.
Check to see if the projector has overheated or the lamp usage exceeds 1100
hours (2100 hours in Eco 2 mode and 1600 hours in Eco 1 mode). If there is insufficient ventilation around the projector or if the room where youre presenting is particularly warm, move the projector to a cooler location.
Use the menu to select your source (Video, S-Video or RGB). See page E-29.
Ensure your cables are connected properly.
Use menus to adjust the brightness and contrast. See page E-29.
Remove the lens cap.
Reset the settings or adjustments to factory preset levels using the Factory
Default on the Image Options Menu. See page E-31.
Reposition the projector to improve its angle to the screen. See page E-14.
Use the Keystone on the Image Options Menu to correct the trapezoid distortion.
See page E-29.
Adjust the focus. See page E-23.
