Maschine Studio Hardware Shortcuts

Control

• Channel: display Channel Input, Output, Groove and Macro.

• Shift + Channel (MIDI): toggle MIDI controller mode.

• Plug-in: enter Control mode and access your Plug-ins hosted in Maschine Software.

• Shift + Plug-in (Instance): select instance of the Maschine VSTi in hosted mode

(DAW). Select the Maschine controller model in MIDI mode.

• Arrange: select Ideas or Song view (use Shift to change the view).

• Shift + Arrange: not implemented

• Mix: mix the Sounds and the Groups.

• Shift + Mix: as Mix.

• Browse: browse the Projects, Groups, Sounds, Instruments, Effects, Samples.

• Shift + Browse: load a Plug-in (internal or VST/VSTi).

• Sampling: access to the Sampler to record and edit samples.

• Shift + Sampling: as Sampling.

• Left/Right: jump to the previous/next page.

• Shift + Left/Right: select the previous/next Section bank.

• All: not implemented

• Shift + All (Save): save your project.

• Auto: record automation (modulation).

• Shift + Auto: pin/unpin the Auto mode.

I/O and Level

• In1: external audio input 1

• In2: external audio input 2

• In3: external audio input 3

• In4: external audio input 4

• Mst: master volume

• Grp: volume of the selected Group

• Snd: volume of the selected Sound

• Cue: cue level

Performance

• Tap: set the tempo of the project with the Jog wheel.

• Shift + Tap: as Tap.

• Step Mode: access to the step sequencer.

• Shift + Mode: as Step Mode.

• Macro: control a selection of parameters from different sources.

• Shift + Macro: as Macro.

• Note Repeat: display the Note Repeat parameters.

• Note Repeat + Pad: play the selected Sound at a given rate.

• Shift + Repeat: pin/unpin the Note Repeat mode.

Groups

• A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H: select the Group you want to work in.

• Shift + A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H: select the Group Bank.

Transport

• Restart: restart from the beginning of the current Loop range.

• Shift + Restart (Loop): toggle the Loop mode.

• Shift + Restart + Jog wheel: move the Loop?

• Metro: toggle the metronome.

• Shift + Metro: as Metro.

• Events: enter Event Select mode.

• Events + Pad: select all events triggered by the selected pad in your Pattern.

• Shift + Events: as Events.

• Grid: adjust settings of Step grid, Pattern lengths and transition between Scenes.

• Shift + Grid (Rec mode): adjust metronome parameters and automatic Quantize mode.

• Play: start/stop playback.

• Shift + Play: not implemented

• Rec: toggle recording.

• Erase + Rec: begin recording in replace mode (overdub).

• Hold Rec: select the Pattern length before recording any events.

• Shift + Rec (Count-in): start recording with count-in.

• Erase: not implemented

• Erase + Pad: delete the events of a Sound.

• Erase + Group: delete the events of all sound of a Group.

• Erase + Pattern + Pad: delete the corresponding Pattern.

• Erase + Scene + Pad: delete the corresponding Scene or Section.

• Events + Erase + Pad: delete all events for that Sound.

• Erase + Knob: delete the modulation of that Knob.

• Shift + Erase: as Erase

• Shift + Erase + Rec: start the Count-in and record in Replace mode.

• Shift + Erase + Pad: reset a Sound slot.

• Shift: access the secondary functions of your controller.

• Shift + Knob: change parameters in finer increments.

Pads

• Scene: toggle Scene mode.

• Shift + Scene: display Section mode.

• Pattern: toggle Pattern mode.

• Shift + Pattern: add variations (humanize or random) to the Pattern.

• Pad Mode: select a different mode for your pads (velocity, chromatic, chords).

• Shift + Pad (Keyboard): toggle the chromatic mode.

• Navigate: select a view and access to different parameters.

• Shift + Navigate: not implemented

• Duplicate: create another instance of any Sound, Pattern, Group or Scene.

• Shift + Duplicate: as Duplicate.

• Select: select a Sound without having to play it.

• Shift + Select: as Select.

• Solo: mute all other Sounds or Groups.

• Shift + Solo: as Solo.

• Mute: mute Sounds or Groups by pressing the corresponding pad or buttons.

• Shift + Mute (Choke): kill any note or event during playback.

Edit

• Copy: copy selected events to the clipboard.

• Shift + Copy: as Copy.

• Paste: paste the events from the clipboard.

• Shift + Paste: as Paste.

• Note + Jog wheel: change the selected Events by one semitone per increment.

• Shift + Note: as Note.

• Nudge + Jog wheel: move the selected events one step per increment.

• Shift + Nudge + Jog wheel: move the selected events by finer increments.

• Undo: undo your last group of actions.

• Shift + Undo (Step undo): undo your last single action (step in pattern).

• Redo: redo your last group of actions .

• Shift + Redo (Step redo): redo your last single action (step in pattern).

• Quantize: quantize the selected Events or all Events to the Step Grid.

• Shift + Quantize (50%): quantize the Events 50% to the Step Grid.

• Clear: clear the selected Events or all Events if no Events are selected.

• Shift + Clear (Clr Auto): delete all modulations for the selected Sound.

• Back: move one step back in the hierarchy of a Project.

• Shift + Back: as Back.

• Func Left/Right: jump to the previous/next function.

• Pad or Group + Func Left/Right: select Tune, Swing or Volume functions.

• Shift + Left/Right: not implemented

• Enter: move one step forward in the hierarchy of a Project.

• Shift + Enter: as Enter.
