6. Hydraulic Oil – The hydraulic oil level in the pump reservoir can vary with oil temperature, i.e a machine that is
cold the oil level may not be up to the FULL line on the
dipstick. Cycle the mast up and down a few times to get
a more accurate reading on the dipstick. Once the
hydraulic oil is warmed check the dipstick reading, it
should be up to or close to the FULL line on the dipstick.
• DO NOT FILL PAST THE FULL LINE.
• ALWAYS ADD oil if level is at or below the ADD line.
NOTE: If hydraulic oil is to be added, CHECK THE HYDRAULIC
OIL DECAL located on the right side frame, opposite the
pump assembly, for hydraulic oil type and specification.
DO NOT OVERFILL.
The hydraulic oil level in
the reservoir located on
the hydraulic pump
assembly should read t o
or close to the FUL L LINE
on the Hydraulic Reservoir dip stick when
hydraulic oil is at operating temperature.

2.5FUNCTION CHECK
Oncethe “Walk-Around” Inspection is complete, perform a func-tion check of all systems in an area free of overhead and groundlevel obstructions.Refer to Section 3 this manual, for more spe-cific operating instructions.
IF THE MACHINE DOES NOT OPERATE PROPERLY, TURNOFFTHEMACHINE IMMEDIATELY! REPORT THE PROBLEM TO THE PROPERMAINTENANCE PERSONNEL. DO NOT OPERATE THE MACHINE UNTILIT IS DECLARED SAFE FOR OPERATION.
Function Check Items:
1.From the groundcontrolswith noload inthe platform:
a.Operate ground control functions, platformlift up
and liftdown.
b.Ensure all machine functions are disabledwhen the
Emergency Stop Button is activated(pressedin).
c.Check Manual Descent Control valve is operating
properly.(Located underhood)
2.From the platformcontrol console:
a.Ensure the control console isproperly mounted and
secure.
b.Raise and lower platform 2ft. to 3ft.(.61m to .92 m)
several times. Checkfor smooth elevation andlow-ering ofplatform.
c.Operate all functions, checkall limit, cut-out, and
enable switches are functioningproperly:
•Tilt Warning Limit- Drive the machine onto asurface with a tilt of more than 1.5° in any direc-tion(do not exceed rated gradability). Themachine will indicate a tilt condition ifanyattempt is made to elevate the platform. If the machine is driven onto a tilt conditionwhile the platform iselevated both the drive andlift functions will be deactivateduntil the plat-form isfully lowered.
•Drive Speed Reduction Limit - Whenplatformiselevated more than1.5 to 2 ft. (.5m) drivespeed iscut to 1/4 ofplatform lowered drivespeed.
•Platform Gate Open Limit - If either side plat-form gate is open during machine operation, themachine willstop andwill display a fault code at

while the platform is elevated both the drive and
lift functions will be deactivated until the platform is fully lowered.
• Drive Speed Reduction Limit - When platform
is elevated more than 1.5 to 2 ft. (.5m) drive
speed is cut to 1/4 of platform lowered drive
speed.
