Congratulations
Congratulations on your new Jamo KP4.6 keypad.
The KP4.6 can be used with any A-BUS* equipment or the Jamo AVD4.6 system which is a distributed, multi-room home entertainment system capable of delivering high quality audio and video** to multiple rooms and locations in your home.
After it is installed, you have access to all your centrally located audio and video equipment through stylish wall-mounted control panels or remote controls from each location with a control panel installed. Sound is delivered to in-wall or ceiling speakers (or conventional speakers if preferred) and video is delivered to televisions or monitors.
* A-BUS is a registered trademark of LeisureTech Pty Ltd Australia. **Video distribution requires the optional VM4.6 module in-

Important
When installing the KP4.6 in a J box all knock outs must be removed to provide ventilation.
Do not install the KP4.6 in a double gang box that also has electrical installation in it. If installed next to electrical installation either a barrier-box or two single gang boxes must be used.
Do not install the KP4.6 where it can be exposed to direct sun light or strong fluorescent tubes as both can interfere with IR remote controls.
Do not install the KP4.6 close to a plasma TV as they can also interfere with IR remote controls. A distance of 15 feet is safe with most plasma TV’s.
Do not install the KP4.6 close to dimmer switches as they generate noise.
Do not install the KP4.6 in areas with high humidity or outdoors.
Do not install the KP4.6 within line of sight to another KP4.6. This could make it difficult to control each zone separately with a remote control.
Do not install the KP4.6 within line of sight to the source equipment. This could interfere with the operation of the source equipment if receiving IR commands directly and through the KP4.6.
The KP4.6 operates on 24V DC supplied through the CAT5e cable and can therefore often be installed in locations only permitted for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) equipment. If in doubt, check the wiring regulation for your application in your area.

The KP4.6 can be switched between normal A-BUS or enhanced Jamo A-BUS mode. The A-BUS position is for use with other A-BUS equipment. The Jamo position is for use with Jamo AM4.6 and gives extra functions. The switch MUST be set in the correct position, or the KP4.6 will not work.
