Subject: Change in the Main Microprocessor.

Symptom: Tune to an RDS station, and store this station to a preset memory.

Tune to another station and store it in another preset memory. When you use the
"Time/Display" button the set is incorrectly displaying "PS" (name of Preset
Station).

Solution:

MODIFICATION: We will issue the Main Microprocessor (Ver. 0.75) in which the

malfunction has been improved. Therefore, please replace the following old
Microprocessor (Ver. 0.74, 0.73, 0.72 or 0.71) with the new Microprocessor (Ver.

0.75) upon claim.

1) Confirmation of the Version:
Turn off the Power of the unit. While holding the "ON/STANDBY" and
"SDB/TONE" buttons on the unit down simultaneously, switch the Power on.

2) Replacement of the Main Microprocessor:
(1) Take out the Main P.W.B. Ass'y from the unit according to the Service
Manual.
(2) Remove the old Main Microprocessor.
(3) Attach the improved new Microprocessor.
(4) Assemble the unit according to the Service Manual.

3) Initializing procedure:
Turn off the Power of the unit. While holding the "MENU/SET" and " I<< / - "
buttons on the unit down simultaneously, switch the Power on.

We improved the software so no malfunction occurs.
