Model: AVR-5805CI, AVR-5805 with 1080p upgrade (SPK-553, SPK-555 and SPK-556), AVR-4806CI, AVR-4806 with 1080p upgrade (SPK-554, SPK-557 and SPK-558), AVR-4306, AVR-3806, AVR-2807, AVR-987, AVR-2307CI and AVR-887

Subject: Countermeasure for improving the detection of an HDMI Monitor.

Symptom: In some instances the unit will fail to detect the HDMI monitor. This error can occur at the low temperatures, the following similar phenomenon occurs when the voltage on the terminal for detecting the connection of the HDMI of the connected Monitor is low.

•When the LC45BE2W manufactured by SHARP® has been connected to the unit, it takes time until it indicates the normal picture after leaving it over a night.

•When the LC45BE2W manufactured by SHARP® has been connected to the unit, it takes a time for the monitor indicate a normal picture if one hour (after the

Power is turned off) passes.

Caution!

• If the LP-Z3 by SANYO® has been connected the unit, it does not display a picture properly. Before you update the Firmware, please ask to the customer what Display they are using.

Solution: COUNTERMEASURE AND THE MODIFICATION (to be performed upon repair and refurbishment of these units):

Please apply the following modification to your customer's unit and to the unit upon refurbishment.
