PRECAUTIONS
PRODUCT CLEANING
Use a soft dry cloth for periodic cleaning of the product. For more severe stains, please dampen the cloth with water only. Anything else has the chance of dissolving the paint or damaging the plastic.
TEMPERATURE
Be sure the temperature inside the vehicle is between +60°C and -20°C before turning your unit on.
MAINTENANCE
If you have problems, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Return it to your Alpine dealer or the nearest Alpine Service Station for servicing.
INSTALLATION LOCATION
Make sure PWD-X5 will not be installed in a location subjected to:
●Direct sun and heat
●High humidity and water
●Excessive dust
●Excessive vibrations

How To Read This Manual
Getting Started
PWD-X5 machine is supplied with the wired controller. Using the wired controller could easily control PWD-X5 machine, or using the mobile phone app or software to adjust or set the audio effect of
PWD-X5 machine. These three control methods are varied and thus they will be described individually EN in the following chapters. Functions are listed as follows:

Mobile Phone App Instructions
Android users can search and download the PWD-X5 app from the Google Play store
For iPhone users can search and download PWD-X5 app from iPhone App Store.
1.Connect the USB Bluetooth
2.Turn On the PWD-X5 unit
3.Turn Bluetooth ON on the smartphone.
4.Search for DSP-HD-XXXXX
5.Select DSP-HD-XXXXX
6.Launch the Alpine PWD-X5 APP on your smartphone
Go to Alpine page →Read the Disclaimer carefully and click “Accept” to go to the homepage.
Adjust the Volume
●Master volume, Subwoofer level, source select, mute button.
Switch Input Source
1. Click the [Source BT] source setting to flexibly select the type of input source.

Save to a preset by selecting a preset number

App Sync
1.Select the [] to begin pairing to the PWD-X5. [] will show when paired, which represents that app could control the main machine to play music and set data.
2.If you are a general user, click [] to enter [Share Sound Effects] [About] or [Exit].
●Share Sound Effects: Share your existing sound effects with your friends through the mobile phone app.
●About: View the version of the machine.
●Exit: Close the mobile phone app.
3.If you are a professional user, click [] to enter [Share Sound Effects] [Save Sound Effects] [Local Sound Effects] [One-click Recovery] [About] or [Exit].
●Share Sound Effects: Share your existing sound effects with your friends through the mobile phone app.
●Save Sound Effects: Save the adjusted EQ to your mobile phone.
●Local Sound Effects: Open the saved file and use it in your current device.
●One-click Recovery: Restore to factory settings.
●About: View the version of the machine.
●Exit: Close the mobile phone app.

1.Set levels by pressing the channel volume, Then +/- to adjust the output level
2.Change the phase from 0° to 180°
3.Press the speaker to MUTE the channel
Set Crossover (XOver)
1. Select Xover from the settings menu.
2.Use the slider to change the HPF/LPF crossover frequency.
3.Select a slope (ch1-4 6/12db/oct, ch 5 6/12/18/24 db/oct)

Software Instructions
Download PWD-X5 software for PC from Alpine Electronics website.After PWD-X5 software is installed, tune PWD-X5 machine via the PC.
Note: The functions of app are the same as software. So, please refer to the instructions for software for mobile devices.
PC Software System Requirements
●Software is run on a Microsoft® Windows® system. Recommended Specifications
Operating System: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10. CPU: 1.6GHz or higher.
Memory Card: 1GB or higher. Hard Disk: 512MB or more space. PC Resolution: 1280*768 or higher.
●Before connecting PWD-X5 main machine to PC, please install PWD-X5 software

Main machine USB port connects to the computer via USB3.0 cord. Start PWD-X5 software to switch sound sources of main machine and perform such functions as data storage, calling and EQ. USB port connects to the wired controller via USB3.0 cord and perform functions including switching sound source, data calling and adjusting master volume via the wired controller.
The main machine is equipped with an external Bluetooth interface to play lossless music via the external digital Bluetooth and connect to PWD-X5 app. After the Bluetooth is connected, the indicator light will be on.
AUX input interface connects to in-vehicle CD or DVD low-level output, switches the machine sound source to AUX input and plays low-level signals.
REM input switch. When the switch is placed on the “REM”-end, REM will start the machine. If the switch is placed on the “DC”- end, the high-level input signal will start the machine.
In-vehicle CD or DVD main machine.
High-level input and power input interface connects to in-vehicle CD or DVD. If the sound source switches to high-level, the machine will play high-level signals.
The amplifier output of the main machine connects to the speaker
The machine is connected to the power supply.

●High-level REM input (HOST): for these two high-level input cables of H1+/H3+.

So verwenden Sie dieses Handbuch
Erste Schritte
Das Gerät PWD-X5 wird mit einer kabelgebundenen Steuereinheit ausgeliefert. Mit der kabelgebundenen Steuereinheit können Sie das PWD-X5-Gerät problemlos steuern. Sie können auch mithilfe der Smartphone-Anwendung oder der Software den Audioeffekt des PWD-X5-Geräts anpassen oder einstellen. Anleitung für die Smartphone-Anwendung
Android-Benutzer können die PWD-X5-Anwendung im Google Play Store suchen und herunterladen.
iPhone-Benutzer können die PWD-X5-Anwendung im iPhone App Store suchen und herunterladen.
1.Schließen Sie das USB Bluetooth an.
2.Schalten Sie das PWD-X5-Gerät ein.
3.Schalten Sie die Bluetooth-Funktion auf dem Smartphone ein.
4.Suchen Sie nach DSP-HD-XXXXX.
5.Wählen Sie DSP-HD-XXXXX.
6.Starten Sie die Alpine PWD-X5-Anwendung auf Ihrem Smartphone.

Einstellen der Lautstärke

1.Klicken Sie auf die Quelleneinstellung [Source BT], um den Typ der Eingangsquelle flexibel auszuwählen.

Speichern Sie eine Voreinstellung durch Auswahl einer Voreinstellungsnummer.

Anwendungs-Synchronisierung
1.Wählen Sie [], um die Kopplung mit dem PWD-X5 zu starten. [] wird angezeigt, wenn die Kopplung hergestellt wurde. Dies bedeutet, dass die Anwendung das Hauptgerät für das Wiedergeben von Musik und zum Einstellen von Daten steuern kann.
2.Wenn Sie ein allgemeiner Benutzer sind, klicken Sie auf [ ], um [Share Sound Effects] [About] oder [Exit] aufzurufen.

●Save Sound Effects: Speichern Sie den angepassten EQ auf Ihrem Mobiltelefon.
●Local Sound Effects: Öffnen Sie die gespeicherte Datei und verwenden Sie sie in Ihrem aktuellen Gerät.

Ändern des Ausgabekanals
1.Wählen Sie oben den gewünschten Ausgabekanal.
Einstellen des Equalizers
1.Drücken Sie die Werte, um die Frequenz und den Q-Faktor einzustellen. Die Verstärkung kann auch mit dem Schieberegler eingestellt werden.
Smartphone-Anwendung
Zurücksetzen/Wiederherstellen des Equalizers
1.Klicken Sie auf [Reset EQ], um alle EQ-Parameter auf die Standardwerte zurückzusetzen.
2.Klicken Sie auf [Restore EQ], um zwischen EQ ein/aus umzuschalten.
Ausgangspegel, Phase und Mute
1.Stellen Sie die Pegel durch Drücken der Kanallautstärke ein, stellen Sie dann den Ausgangspegel mit +/- ein.
2.Ändern Sie die Phase von 0° bis 180°.
3.Drücken Sie auf den Lautsprecher, um den Kanal stumm (Mute) zu schalten.
Crossover (XOver) einstellen
1.Wählen Sie XOver aus dem Einstellungsmenü.
2.Verwenden Sie den Schieberegler, um die HPF/LPF-Crossover-Frequenz zu verändern.
3.Wählen Sie eine Neigung (ch1-4 6/12 db/Okt, ch 5 6/12/18/24 db/Okt)
Kanalverknüpfung
1.Wählen Sie die Verknüpfungsschaltfläche, um die linken und rechten Kanäle zu verknüpfen.

Software-Anweisungen
Laden Sie die PWD-X5-Software für den PC von der Alpine Electronics-Website herunter. Nach der Installation der PWD-X5-Software können Sie das PWD-X5-Gerät über den PC einstellen.
Hinweis: Die Funktionen der Anwendung sind mit denen der Software identisch. Bitte beachten Sie die Anweisungen für Software für Mobilgeräte.
Systemanforderungen für die PC-Software
●Die Software wird auf einem Microsoft® Windows®-System ausgeführt. Empfohlene Spezifikationen
Betriebssystem: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10. CPU: 1,6 GHz oder höher.
Speicherkarte: 1 GB oder höher.
Festplatte: 512 MB oder mehr Speicherplatz. PC-Auflösung: 1280x768 oder höher.
●Bevor Sie das PWD-X5-Hauptgerät an den PC anschließen, installieren Sie bitte die PWD-X5-Software.

Steuerungsschnittstelle
Die PC-Software des PWD-X5 verfügt über zwei Schnittstellen zur Steuerung des Master-Tunings: EQ und Crossover. Klicken Sie auf die EQ-Kurvengrafik, um die EQund Crossover-Schnittstelle aufzurufen.

Aufrufen und Speichern von
Voreinstellungen
1.Rufen Sie einen voreingestellten Soundeffekt auf und speichern Sie ihn. Klicken Sie auf [Save], um 15 voreingestellte Soundeffekte einzustellen.
Einstellen der Hauptlautstärke
1. Stellen Sie die Hauptlautstärke ein.
2.Wählen Sie Balance, um die gewünschte Balanceund Faderposition per Ziehen einzustellen.
3.Stellen Sie den Ausgangspegel jedes (Mute-)Kanals und jeder Phase ein.
Zeitkorrektur
1.Wählen Sie Delay.
2.Ein Fenster erscheint, in dem Sie die Einheiten und den Wert pro Kanal einstellen können.
Einstellen des Ausgabekanal-EQs
1.Wählen Sie den einzustellenden Kanal aus, indem Sie auf den entsprechenden Lautsprecher klicken.
2.Klicken Sie auf die EQ-Grafik, um das EQ-Menü anzuzeigen.

Kabelgebundene Steuereinheit
Bedienungsanleitung für die Fernbedienung
Verbinden Sie die kabelgebundene Steuereinheit des PWD-X5 mit dem PWD-X5-Gerät und schalten Sie dieses ordnungsgemäß ein.
Hinweis: Die Steuereinheit funktioniert nicht, wenn PC/BT angeschlossen ist.
Einstellen der Lautstärke und des Subwoofer-Pegels
1.Drehen Sie den Knopf, um die Hauptlautstärke einzustellen, und drücken Sie den Knopf einmal, um den Subwoofer-Pegel zu ändern.
2.Drücken und 2–3 Sekunden lang halten, um die Quelle stumm zu schalten.
Wechseln der Quellen
1.Drücken Sie den Knopf, um die aktive Eingangsquelle zu wechseln.
2.Zum Wählen drehen und einmal drücken.
Auswählen von Voreinstellungen
1.Halten Sie den Knopf (länger als 5 Sekunden) gedrückt, um die Voreinstellung auszuwählen.
