CCT Manual Insert
This manual insert describes warnings, notices, and cautions that apply to the military
airworthiness-certified ZOLL M Series CCT unit.
Warning:
When you operate the military M Series CCT unit from a 400Hz power source, please note that
the patient auxiliary leakage current specifications are different than when operating from either
50Hz or 60Hz.
For the military M Series CCT unit, the patient auxiliary leakage current specification for ECG and
MFC is
Type CF for 50Hz and 60Hz power
Type BF for 400Hz power
Do not operate the military M Series CCT unit from a 400Hz power source when using
intracardiac monitoring catheters or internal paddles. To use intracardiac monitoring catheters or
internal paddles, you must operate the M Series CCT unit from either a 50Hz or 60Hz power
source or from battery power. The use of intracardiac monitoring catheters or internal paddles
when operating the military M Series CCT unit from a 400Hz power source can result in
significant risk to the patient.
Notice:
The product is tested for airworthiness without the VGA output capability. VGA output is not
functional in the military M Series CCT unit.
Notice:
Input power to the airworthiness-certified military M Series CCT unit is restricted to 120 VAC (at
50Hz, 60Hz, or 400Hz) and battery power.
Caution:
The modem and ECG out ports have not been tested for airworthiness, however the modem and
ECG out ports are functional in a non-airworthiness environment. The use of the military CCT
unit’s modem and ECG out ports in an airworthiness environment has the potential to cause
electronic interference, which can compromise the airworthiness environment and risk the safety
of the aircraft.
Caution:
The external cables used on military M Series CCT units are not the same as those used on
standard M Series CCT units. The use of standard CCT cables with the military CCT unit
invalidates the military unit’s airworthiness certification.
