This manual insert provides information that applies to Military Airworthiness-Certified ZOLL Base
PowerCharger
4x4
units.
Battery Capacity Test
There are two types of Military Airworthiness-Certified ZOLL Base PowerCharger
Battery Only units, which can charge only the ZOLL XL Battery, and XL Battery Ready units,
which can charge both ZOLL XL and Regular Batteries.
To pass the Battery Capacity test on the XL Battery Only version of the Military AirworthinessCertified ZOLL Base PowerCharger 4x4 unit, a fully-charged XL Battery must have capacity of
2.7 AH or higher. A capacity of 2.7 AH is 60 % of an XL Battery’s nominal capacity of 4.5 AH.
To pass the Battery Capacity test on the XL Battery Ready version of the Military AirworthinessCertified ZOLL Base PowerCharger 4x4 unit, a fully-charged XL Battery or Regular Battery must
have capacity of 1.5 AH or higher. A capacity of 1.5 AH is 60 % of a Regular Battery’s nominal
capacity of 2.5 AH and 33% of an XL Battery’s nominal capacity of 4.5 AH.
