Mainten ance and c leaning ( i.e. las er head) is not cover ed by this warrant y. The TEAC warrant y only applies to TEAC products purchased, used and serviced in Australia.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
This is a delicate electronic unit; * The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such
as vases, should be placed on the apparatus. * A minimum distance of 5cm should be left around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation. * No naked flame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the apparatus. * When replacing the battery, be sure to dispose of the old one in accordance with the current regulations.

a safe and environmentally friendly way. * The apparatus can be used normally between 10 to 40°C. * To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture. * The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as
newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc. WARNINGS
* To make sure that there is no power to the unit, please remove and disconnect the AC power plug from
the AC wall power output. * The main plug should not be obstructed AND should be easily accessible during use. * If the external flexible cable or cord of this device is damaged, it should be replaced only by the
manufacturer, an authorized service agent or similar qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard. * This apparatus should be used in moderate climates.
ATTENTION To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover. There are no user serviceable parts inside the unit. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of “dangerous voltage” inside the unit. The exclamation point within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of important instructions accompanying the products.

CONTROL AND INPUT :
CONNECTING THE UNIT
AC POWER
Insert the AC power plug correctly into a power outlet. The Red LED will light up and the unit is now in Standby mode.
LINE IN JACK
Please make sure that the power is off when connecting and disconnecting. Use the provided AUDIO CORD, connect the 3.5mm plug into the line in socket of the unit (on the right side of the unit). Connect the RED and WHITE plug into the line out socket of the audio source. Note : Please note that this is not a magnetically shielded speaker, do not place near to a CRT TV, as this may cause discolouration.
INSTALLATION OF THE REMOTE CONTORL
CHANGING THE REMOTE BATTERY
1. Slide the BATTERY COMPARTMENT DOOR out of the remote.
2. Install 1 x "CR2025" battery or an equivalent battery.
3. Slide the BATTERY COMPARTMENT DOOR back into the remote. CAUTION : Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROL This remote control makes it easy to control the unit from a distance of up to 3m away. You need to point it at the remote sensor on the front panel of the unit.
OPERATION
1. Press the ON / STANDBY Button and the GREEN LED will light up.
2. Turn on the power of the audio source (e.g. TV, DVD player) and play audio on the device.
3. Press the Volume Up Button to increase the volume output level.
4. Press the Volume Down Button to decrease the volume output level.
5. Press the 3D Button to turn on the 3D sound effect. Press once more to turn off the 3D sound effect.
6. Press the MUTE Button (on the remote control only) to mute the sound.
7. Press the ON / STANDBY Button and the LED will change to RED. The unit is now in Standby Mode.

MOUNTING UNIT ON A WALL
Please make sure that the main AC power is turned off and unplug before attempting to mount the unit. Use only the supplied wall mounting brackets. Secure the 2 wall mounting brackets to a wall that can
support the weight of the unit. For best performance, mount the unit directly below the TV.
