structions are a part of this product. They contain important information in regard to safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of these operating and safety instructions. Use this appliance only as described and only for the specifi ed areas of application. In addition, pass these operating instructions on to whoever might acquire the appliance at a future date.

If the contents are not complete or are damaged due to defective packag-
ing or through transportation contact the Service Hotline (see chapter Service).
Unpacking
Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the carton.Remove all packing material.

Packaging materials should not be used as a play thing. There is a risk of
suff ocation.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves raw material and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.
NOTICE
If possible, preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty
period, so that in the event of a warranty claim you can package the appliance ideally for its return.

Safety instructions
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
This appliance must only be connected to a properly installed
wall power socket providing electrical energy at the level detailed on the rating plate.
Under no circumstances may the appliance be submersed in fl uids
or fl uids be allowed to permeate the housing. The appliance must not be exposed to moisture or used outdoors. Should liquids enter the housing, disconnect the appliance from the mains power socket immediately and arrange for it to be repaired by a qualifi ed technician.
In event of operating malfunctions and before cleaning the appli-
ance, remove the plug from the mains power socket.
Disconnect the appliance by pulling on the plug itself, not on the
power cable.
Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance, and protect
the cable from being damaged.
To avoid risks, arrange for defective plugs and/or power cables
to be replaced at once by qualifi ed technicians or our Customer Service Department.

Do not kink or crush the power cable, and route it in such a way
as to prevent people from stepping on or tripping over it.
Do not use extension cables.Never hold the appliance, the power cable or the power plug
with wet hands.
Unplug the appliance immediately after use. The appliance is
completely free of electrical power ONLY when unplugged.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
You must not open the device housing or attempt to repair the
device yourself. Should you do so, the safety of the appliance is no longer assured and the warranty will become void. Only allow authorised technicians to repair a defective appliance.
Ensure that the power cable does not become wet or moist during
use. Route the cable in such a way that it cannot be crushed or damaged.
Ensure that objects can never penetrate into the inside of the
appliance, particularly not metal hair clips, grips or hairpins.
Never use the appliance near water, particularly not near sinks, bathtubs or similar vessels. The proximity of water presents a risk, even when the appliance is switched off . Always disconnect the plug from the mains power socket after use. As additional protection, the installation of a residual current circuit-breaker with an activation power rating of not more than 30 mA is recommended for the power circuit in the bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice.

This appliance may be used by children of the age of 8 years or
over and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or, in regard to the safe use of the appliance, have been instructed in its use and have understood the potential risks.
Children must not play with the appliance.Cleaning and user maintenance tasks should not be carried out
by children, unless they are at least 8 or more years old and are supervised.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Never put the appliance down when it is switched on, and never
leave a switched-on appliance unsupervised.
Never place the appliance close to sources of heat, and protect
the power cable against potential damage.
Do not operate the appliance if it has sustained a fall or is damaged
in any way. Have the appliance checked and/or repaired by qualifi ed technicians.
Do not cover the air intake grille while operating the appliance. Clean
the grille at regular intervals.
The appliance and its accessories can become hot when in use.
Therefore, only touch the handle and the buttons.
Always use the appliance with the attachments fi tted, never on its
own, since the attachment point becomes hot during operation.
Allow the appliance to cool down before attaching or detaching
attachments.
Use only the supplied original accessories, since these have been
optimised for interaction with the appliance. Other parts may not be adequately safe.

Keep the air inlet and outlet openings clear so as to have unim-
paired air fl ow. Otherwise the appliance may overheat.
Exercise caution when using hair spray, water atomizers etc.
The air fl ow may blow these substances directly into your eyes. On the other hand, these substances must not be allowed to penetrate the appliance, since they may be infl ammable, aggres­sive or electrically conductive.

First use
Before taking the appliance into use ensure that ...the appliance and the attachments are in good working order,
all packaging materials have been removed.
Clean all of the attachments as described under “Cleaning and care”.
Attachment fi tting / removal
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
After operation, the appliance components may be hot!
Fitting Attachments
Insert the desired attachment into the attachment insertion slot 1, so that
the front arrow symbol on the attachment points at the arrow symbol on the attachment insertion slot 1 .
Turn the attachment clockwise until it clicks into place. The back arrow on the
attachment now points at the arrow on the attachment insertion slot 1 .
Removing attachments
First switch the appliance off and allow it to cool down..
Press the release button “push” 7 and turn the attachment anti-clockwise .
The attachment can now be removed by pulling it out of the attachment inser-
tion slot 1.

Switching on /off / Selecting a heat level
When you have inserted the required attachment and connected the plug
with the mains power socket, you can now switch the appliance on with the level switch 3 and select the output level:
“0“ The appliance is switched off “1“ for a reduced air-fl ow strength with heat“2“ for a high air-fl ow strength with heat
You switch the appliance off by sliding the level switch 3 to the position “0”
(= appliance off ).
To fi x the styling, you can use the slide switch Cool Shot 2. The styling will
be fi xed by the cool air stream:
During operation, slide the slide switch Cool Shot 2 upwards.
The air fl ow will be cooler.
When you want to deactivate the cool air stream, slide the slide switch
Cool Shot 2 downwards.
Using the attachments

Large round brush
This attachment gives the hair more volume or large curls.
Wind a slightly damp strand of hair around the large round brush q.
Switch the appliance on at level 1 or 2.
When the strand is dry, slide the slide switch Cool Shot 2 upwards.
Wait until the strand has cooled.
Unwind the large round brush q from the strand.
Proceed with the other strands in the same way.
Small round brush
With this attachment you can put curls or waves into your hair.
Wind a slightly damp strand of hair around the small round brush 0.
Switch the appliance on at level 1 or 2.
When the strand is dry, slide the slide switch Cool Shot 2 upwards.
Wait until the strand has cooled.
Unwind the small round brush 0 from the strand.
Proceed with the other strands in the same way.

Curling tongs
With this attachment you can put small spiral curls (angel curls) into your hair.
Secure the tip of the strand with the clip on the curling tongs 9.
Then wind the slightly damp strand of hair around the curling tongs 9.
Switch the appliance on at level 1 or 2.
When the strand is dry, slide the slide switch Cool Shot 2 upwards.
Wait until the strand has cooled.
Pull the curling tongs 9 out of the strand.
Proceed with the other strands in the same way.

Double brush
This attachment is suitable for drying particularly long hair.
With the open double brush w, take up a lock of hair near the root, close

Cleaning and Care
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
Before cleaning the appliance, always disconnect the power cable from
the mains power socket. There is a risk of receiving an electric shock!

Allow the appliance to cool suffi ciently before cleaning it. Risk of Burns!
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not use any aggressive, abrasive or chemical cleaning agents! These
could damage the upper surfaces of the appliance.
Clean the appliance only with a lightly moistened cloth.
Allow the appliance to dry completely before re-use or before storing it.
If necessary, wipe the storage bag r or the attachments 8/9/0/
q/w/e with a damp cloth.
Clean the air intake grill 6 at regular intervals with a soft brush.
Storage
You can also hang the appliance up by the suspension loop 5.
If you are intending to not use the appliance for an extended period, store it
in the storage bag r. The appliance must be cooled down for this!

Tips for the perfect hairstyle
Only style your hair when it is already almost dry.
Divide your hair into individual strands for more volume.
You will achieve additional volume by starting to dry your hair at the hairline
and working down towards the ends.
After switching the appliance off , wait for a few seconds before releasing
the curl.
Let your hair cool down suffi ciently before combing it out.
Fix the hair with a little hairspray.

Disposal of the appliance
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EU-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your com­munity waste facility. Pay heed to the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

• The plug is not inserted into a power socket.
• The appliance is not switched on.
• The appliance is defec­tive.
• The slider switch Cool Shot 2 is in the upwards position.
• The appliance is defective.
The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects, it is not applicable for transport damages, parts subject to wear and tear or for damage to fragile components, e.g. bulbs and switches.

This appliance is intended solely for private domestic use, not for commercial ap­plications. If this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate han­dling, abuse, or modifi cations not carried out by one of our authorised service centres, the warranty will be considered void.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This applies also to replaced and repaired parts.
Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immedi­ately after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the date of purchase.
Repairs made after the lapse of the warranty period are subject to charge.
