structions are a part of this product. They contain important information in regard to safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of these operating and safety instructions. Use this appliance only as described and only for the speciﬁ ed areas of application. In addition, pass these operating instructions on to whoever might acquire the appliance at a future date.

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves raw material and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

NOTICE

► If possible, preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty

so that in the event of a warranty claim you can package the appliance

period, ideally for its return.

Safety instructions

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

► This appliance must only be connected to a properly installed

wall power socket providing electrical energy at the level detailed on the rating plate.

► Under no circumstances may the appliance be submersed in ﬂ uids

or ﬂ uids be allowed to permeate the housing. The appliance must not be exposed to moisture or used outdoors. Should liquids enter the housing, disconnect the appliance from the mains power socket immediately and arrange for it to be repaired by a qualiﬁ ed technician.

► In event of operating malfunctions and before cleaning the appli-

ance, remove the plug from the mains power socket.

► Disconnect the appliance by pulling on the plug itself, not on the

power cable.

► Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance, and protect

the cable from being damaged.

► To avoid risks, arrange for defective plugs and/or power cables

to be replaced at once by qualiﬁ ed technicians or our Customer Service Department.

► Do not kink or crush the power cable, and route it in such a way

as to prevent people from stepping on or tripping over it.

► Do not use extension cables. ► Never hold the appliance, the power cable or the power plug

with wet hands.

► Unplug the appliance immediately after use. The appliance is

completely free of electrical power ONLY when unplugged.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

► You must not open the device housing or attempt to repair the

device yourself. Should you do so, the safety of the appliance is no longer assured and the warranty will become void. Only allow authorised technicians to repair a defective appliance.

► Ensure that the power cable 4 does not become wet or moist dur-

ing use. Route the cable in such a way that it cannot be crushed or damaged.

► Ensure that objects can never penetrate into the inside of the

appliance, particularly not metal hair clips, grips or hairpins.

Never use the appliance near water, particularly not near sinks, bathtubs or similar vessels. The proximity of water presents a risk, even when the appliance is switched oﬀ . Always disconnect the plug from the mains power socket after use. As additional protection, the installation of a residual current circuit-breaker with an activation power rating of not more than 30 mA is recommended for the power circuit in the bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice.

► This appliance may be used by children of the age of 8 years or

over and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or, in regard to the safe use of the appliance, have been instructed in its use and have understood the potential risks.

► Children must not play with the appliance. ► Cleaning and user maintenance tasks should not be carried out

by children, unless they are at least 8 or more years old and are supervised.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

► Never put the appliance down when it is switched on, and never

leave a switched-on appliance unsupervised.

► Never place the appliance close to sources of heat, and protect

the power cable against potential damage.

► Do not operate the appliance if it has sustained a fall or is dam-

aged in any way. Have the appliance checked and/or repaired by qualiﬁ ed technicians.

► Do not cover the air intake grille 6 while operating the appli-

ance. Clean the grille at regular intervals.

► The appliance and its accessories can become hot when in use.

Therefore, only touch the handle and the buttons.

► Always use the appliance with the attachments ﬁ tted, never on its

own, since the attachment point 1 becomes hot during operation.

► Allow the appliance to cool down before attaching or detaching

attachments.

► Use only the supplied original accessories, since these have been

optimised for interaction with the appliance. Other parts may not be adequately safe.

► Keep the air inlet and outlet openings clear so as to have unim-

paired air ﬂ ow. Otherwise the appliance may overheat.

► Exercise caution when using hair spray, water atomizers etc.

The air ﬂ ow may blow these substances directly into your eyes. On the other hand, these substances must not be allowed to penetrate the appliance, since they may be inﬂ ammable, aggressive or electrically conductive.

First use

■ Before taking the appliance into use ensure that ... – the appliance and its accessory parts are in perfect working condition,

– all packaging materials have been removed.

■ Clean all of the attachments as described under “Cleaning and care”.

Fitting Attachments

■ Insert the desired attachment into the attachment insertion slot 1, so that

the front arrow symbol on the attachment points at the arrow symbol on the attachment insertion slot 1 .

■ Turn the attachment clockwise until it clicks into place. The back arr

attachment now points at the arrow on the attachment insertion slot 1

■ First switch the appliance oﬀ and allow it to cool down..

■ Press the release button “push” 7 and turn the attachment anti-clockwise

■ The attachment can now be removed by pulling it out of the attachment inser-

tion slot 1.

Switching on /oﬀ / Selecting a heat level

■ When you have inserted the required attachment and connected the plug

with the mains power socket, you can now switch the appliance on with the level switch 3 and select the output level:

– “0“ The appliance is switched oﬀ – “1“ for a reduced air-ﬂ ow strength with heat – “2“ for a high air-ﬂ ow strength with heat

Curling tongs

With this attachment you can put small spiral curls (angel curls) into your hair.

■ Secure the tip of the strand with the clip on the curling tongs 9.

■ Then wind the slightly damp strand of hair around the curling tongs 9.

■ When the strand is dry, slide the slide switch Cool Shot 2 upw

Tips for the perfect hairstyle

■ Only style your hair when it is already almost dry.

■ Divide your hair into individual strands for more volume.

■ You will achieve additional volume by starting to dry your hair at the hairline

Disposal of the appliance

Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EU-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Pay heed to the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

This appliance is intended solely for private domestic use, not for commercial applications. If this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate handling, abuse, or modiﬁ cations not carried out by one of our authorised service centres, the warranty will be considered void.

Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This applies also to replaced and repaired parts.

Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the date of purchase.

Repairs made after the lapse of the warranty period are subject to charge.

Pakkauksen hävittäminen

Pakkaus suojaa laitetta kuljetusvaurioilta. Pakkausmateriaalit on valittu ympäristöystävällisyys ja jätehuoltotekniset näkökohdat huomioiden ja siksi ne voidaan kierrättää.

Pakkauksen palauttaminen materiaalikiertoon säästää raaka-aineita ja vähentää jätteiden syntymistä. Hävitä tarpeettomat pakkausmateriaalit paikallisten voimassa olevien määräysten mukaisesti.

Turvaohjeet

SÄHKÖISKUN VAARA

► Liitä laite ainoastaan määräysten mukaan asennettuun verkkopis-

torasiaan, jonka verkkojännite vastaa laitteen tyyppikilven tietoja.

► Älä missään tapauksessa upota laitetta nesteeseen ja huolehdi

siitä, ettei laitteen sisälle pääse nestettä. Älä altista laitetta kosteudelle, äläkä käytä sitä ulkona. Jos laitteen sisään kuitenkin pääsee nestettä, irrota verkkopistoke heti pistorasiasta ja vie laite korjattavaksi asiantuntevaan huoltoliikkeeseen.

► Irrota verkkopistoke verkkopistorasiasta, jos laitteen toiminnassa

ilmenee häiriöitä, ja ennen kuin puhdistat laitetta.

► Älä vedä virtajohdosta, vaan irrota johto pistorasiasta pistokkees-

ta vetämällä.

► Älä kiedo virtajohtoa laitteen ympärille ja suojaa sitä vaurioittumiselta. ► Anna vaurioitunut verkkopistoke tai virtajohto heti valtuutetun

ammattihenkilöstön tai huoltopalvelun vaihdettavaksi vaarojen välttämiseksi.

► Älä taita tai purista virtajohtoa. Asettele johto niin, ettei kukaan

voi astua sen päälle tai kompastu siihen.

► Älä käytä jatkojohtoa.

► Älä koskaan koske laitteeseen, virtajohtoon tai -pistokkeeseen

märillä käsillä.

► Irrota laite sähköverkosta välittömästi käytön jälkeen. Laite on

täysin jännitteetön ainoastaan silloin, kun verkkopistoke on irrotettu sähköverkosta.

SÄHKÖISKUN VAARA

► Älä avaa laitteen koteloa tai yritä korjata sitä. Tämä vaarantaa

turvallisuuden ja aiheuttaa takuun raukeamisen. Korjauta laite ainoastaan asiantuntevassa huoltoliikkeessä.

► Varmista, ettei virtajohto 4 kastu tai altistu kosteudelle käytön aika-

na. Varmista, ettei johto jää puristuksiin tai pääse vaurioitumaan.

► Varmista, ettei laitteen sisään joudu esineitä, erityisesti metallisia

hiuspidikkeitä, klipsejä tai hiusneuloja.

Älä koskaan käytä laitetta veden, erityisesti pesualtaiden, kylpyammeiden tai vastaavien, läheisyydessä. Veden läheisyyteen liittyy aina potentiaalinen vaara, mikäli laite on kiinni sähköverkossa, myös laitteen ollessa pois päältä kytkettynä. Irrota siksi verkkopistoke pistorasiasta jokaisen käyttökerran jälkeen. Kylpyhuoneen sähköpiiriin on lisäksi suositeltavaa asentaa vikavirtasuojakytkin, jonka laukaisuvirta on enintään 30 mA. Kysy neuvoja sähköasentajaltasi.

► Tätä laitetta voivat käyttää 8 vuotta täyttäneet lapset sekä rajoittu-

neet fyysiset, aistilliset tai henkiset kyvyt tai puutteellisen kokemuksen ja/tai tiedot omaavat henkilöt, kun heitä valvotaan tai heitä on opastettu laitteen turvallisessa käytössä, ja he ovat ymmärtäneet käytöstä aiheutuvat vaarat.

► Lapset eivät saa leikkiä laitteella. ► Lapset eivät saa puhdistaa tai huoltaa laitetta (käyttäjähuolto),

paitsi jos he ovat täyttäneet 8 vuotta ja heitä valvotaan.

► Älä koskaan laske laitetta käsistäsi sen ollessa päällä, äläkä kos-

kaan jätä päällä olevaa laitetta ilman valvontaa.

► Älä koskaan aseta laitetta lämpölähteiden lähettyville ja suojaa

virtajohtoa vaurioilta.

► Älä ota pudonnutta tai vaurioitunutta laitetta käyttöön. Anna laite

asiantuntevan huoltoliikkeen tarkistettavaksi ja korjattavaksi.

► Älä peitä ilmanottoristikkoa 6 käytön aikana. Puhdista se sään-

nöllisin väliajoin.

► Laitteen osat voivat kuumentua käytössä. - Koske siksi vain kah-

vaan ja painikkeisiin.

► Käytä laitetta aina vain lisäosat paikoilleen asetettuna, älä kos-

kaan yksinään, sillä lisäosien kiinnityskohta 1 kuumenee käytössä.

► Anna laitteen jäähtyä, ennen kuin kiinnität tai irrotat lisäosia. ► Käytä vain mukana toimitettuja alkuperäisiä lisävarusteosia, jotka

on optimoitu toimimaan yhdessä laitteen kanssa. Muiden lisävarusteosien turvallisuudessa saattaa olla puutteita.

► Pidä ilman tulo- ja poistoaukot avoimina, jotta ilma pääsee kiertä-

mään esteettömästi. Muuten laite saattaa ylikuumentua.

► Ole varovainen käyttäessäsi hiuslakkaa, vesisuihketta tms, sillä ne

saattavat ohjautua ilmavirtauksen mukana suoraan silmiin. Aineita ei myöskään saa päästä laitteen sisään, sillä ne saattavat olla helposti syttyviä, aggressiivisia tai johtaa sähkövirtaa.

Käyttöönotto

■ Ennen kuin otat laitteen käyttöön, varmista, että... – laite ja lisäosat ovat moitteettomassa kunnossa,

– kaikki pakkausmateriaalit on poistettu.

■ Puhdista lisäosat kohdassa "Puhdistus ja hoito" kuvatulla tavalla.

Lisäosan asettaminen / irrottaminen

► Heti käytön jälkeen laitteen osat saattavat olla kuumia!

Lisäosan asettaminen

■ Aseta haluamasi lisäosa lisäosan kiinnityskohtaan 1 niin, että lisäosan

etummainen nuolisymboli osoittaa lisäosan kiinnityskohdan 1 nuolisymboliin .

■ Käännä lisäosaa myötäpäivään, kunnes se lukittuu kuuluvasti paikoilleen.

■ Kytke laite ensiksi pois päältä ja anna sen jäähtyä.

Käynnistys/sammutus / tason valinta

■ Kun haluttu lisäosa on asetettu ja verkkopistoke on liitetty pistorasiaan,

– "0" laite on sammutettu – "1" alhaiselle puhallustasolle lämmöllä – "2" korkealle puhallustasolle lämmöllä

■ Voit sammuttaa laitteen työntämällä tasokytkimen 3 asentoon "0" (= laite

pois päältä).

■ Voit käyttää kampauksen kiinnitykseen Cool Shot -liukukytkintä 2. Viileä
