Proper use

This plug-in fan heater, hereinafter referred to as the appliance or
heater, is intended only for heating closed interior rooms and is for
private use only.

This appliance is not intended for use in areas where special conditions
may apply, such as corrosive or potentially explosive atmospheres
(dust, vapour or gas). It is not intended for heating up cars or tents,
for example.

The appliance must not be used outside of closed rooms. Any other
usage or modification of the appliance is deemed to be improper
and carries a significant risk of accidents. It is not intended for use
in commercial or industrial applications.

The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from
improper use, improper application or non-observance of these
operating instructions.

8 years of age may only switch the appliance
on and off if they are supervised or instructed
in the safe use of the appliance and have
understood the resulting dangers, and pro­vided that the appliance is located or in­stalled in its normal operating position.

8 years of age may not plug in, regulate or
clean the appliance and may not carry out
user maintenance tasks.

■ Children must be supervised to make sure that

they do not play with the appliance.

■ Do not operate the appliance with an exten-

sion cable, adapter or on a multiple socket.

■ The appliance may only be used on a single

socket.

■ Make sure that the mains socket being used

is always easily accessible so that the appli­ance can be quickly disconnected from the
power supply in an emergency.

Do not use the appliance together with a
programmable switch, a timer, a separate
remote control system or any other system
which switches the heater on automatically,
as this could lead to a fire risk if the heater is
covered or set up incorrectly. Do not operate
the appliance unattended.

■ The appliance must not be used in the im-

mediate vicinity of a bath, shower or swim­ming pool. Do not use the appliance in
bathrooms, washrooms or similar areas.

■ The appliance is to be installed so that a per-

son in the bath or shower is unable to touch
the switch and other controls.

■ WARNING! Some parts of the product

may be very hot and cause burns. Be particu­larly careful when children and vulnerable
people are present.

■ Do not install the heater near curtains or other

flammable materials as there is a risk of fire.

■ The heater must not be located immediately

below a socket outlet.

The appliance is supplied with the following components as standard:

NOTE

► Check the package for completeness and signs of visible

damage.

► If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result

of defective packaging or during transport, contact the service
hotline (see section Service).

♦ Remove all packaging materials and any protective film from the

appliance.

NOTE

► You may notice a slight smell when using the appliance for the

first time. This is normal and is completely harmless.

Operation

Requirements for the operating location

For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the operating
location must fulfil the following requirements:

– The appliance may only be operated in an upright position and

fully assembled.

– The mains socket must be easily accessible so that the appliance

can be quickly disconnected in an emergency.

– Maintain a minimum clearance of 20 cm at the sides,

30 cm above and 50 cm in front.

– Ensure that the air can always enter and escape freely.

Otherwise, there could be a heat build-up in the appliance.

DANGER

Risk of fire due to contact with fabrics!

► Do not allow flammable materials (e.g. textiles) to come into

contact with the appliance.

► Do not cover the appliance.

Handling and operation

Switching the appliance on and off

♦ Plug the appliance into a suitable, easily accessible mains socket.

The operating LED 2 lights up red to show that the appliance is
in standby mode.

♦ Press the button1 to turn on the fan heater. The factory

preset temperature  (25° Celsius) appears on the display3.

♦ Press the

standby mode. The display3 goes out, while the operating
LED2 remains lit up red. The fan runs on a while to cool the
appliance down.

♦ To switch off the appliance completely, disconnect it from the

mains power supply. To do this, remove it from the mains socket.

WARNING

► The fan heater gets very hot during use. Allow it to cool down

before you disconnect it from the mains socket. Touch the heater
only by the recessed grips8 provided.

Setting the temperature

You can set a temperature range from 15° Celsius to 30° Celsius on
the fan heater.

♦ Press the

preset temperature () or the last-used temperature appears
on the display3.

♦ Press the

ture in steps of 1° Celsius.

NOTE

► The fan heater only starts heating when the room temperature

falls below the set temperature value.

► As soon as the room temperature has reached the set temperature

value, the appliance stops heating until the room temperature
drops below the set temperature value again.

Setting the heating/blower level

The fan heater has two combined heating/blowing levels.

♦ With the appliance switched on, press the SETbutton6 once.

The appliance has a timer that you can use to set the desired heating
time between 1 to 24 hours. Once this heating period is over, the
appliance automatically switches to standby mode.

Protective devices

Overheating protection

The appliance is fitted with a thermostatically controlled overheating
protector. If the appliance becomes too hot internally, the heating
element and fan switch off automatically. In this case, pull the ap­pliance out of the mains socket and let it cool down for 30 minutes.
Then plug the appliance back into the mains socket and switch it on
again.

WARNING

Overheating can lead to a risk of fire!

► Check that the appliance can sufficiently dissipate the heat

generated: Is the appliance covered, are the ventilation slots
blocked or is the fan blocked?

► If possible, eliminate the problem or contact the Service Hotline

(see the section Service).

Tilt cut-out

The fan heater must always be plugged into a mains socket in an
upright position, with the display3 at the top. The tilt cut-out switch-
es the appliance off as soon as it is tilted by a few degrees from
the upright position. As soon as the appliance is back in an upright
position, it can be switched back on again.

Cleaning

WARNING

► Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the appliance from

the mains power socket!

► Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning to prevent

any risk of burns.

► Clean the appliance only when it is cool.

CAUTION

► To avoid irreparable damage to the appliance, ensure that no

moisture can get into it during cleaning.

► Never immerse the appliance in water and protect it from

splashing or sprayed water.

♦ Clean the housing only with a soft damp cloth and a mild

detergent.

♦ Remove accumulations of dust on the protective grille and the

ventilation slots with a paintbrush or vacuum cleaner.

Storage

♦ If you are not using the appliance, disconnect it from the mains

power supply and store it in a clean, dry place away from direct
sunlight.

Disposal

Disposal of the appliance

The symbol showing a crossed-out dustbin means that this
appliance is subject to Directive 2012/19/EU. This
directive states that this appliance may not be disposed of
in the normal household waste at the end of its useful life,
but must be handed over to specially set-up collection
locations, recycling depots or disposal companies.
This disposal is free of charge for the user. Protect the
environment and dispose of this appliance properly.

Your local community or municipal authorities can provide
information on how to dispose of the product.

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging materials have been selected for their
environmental friendliness and ease of disposal and are
therefore recyclable. Dispose of packaging materials that
are no longer needed in accordance with applicable
local regulations.

Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly
manner.

Troubleshooting

This section contains important information on fault identification and
rectification.

WARNING

► Repairs to electrical appliances should only be carried out by

specialists trained by the manufacturer. Improper repairs can
cause considerable risks to users and damage to the appliance.

Fault causes and remedies

The following table will help you to identify and rectify minor
malfunctions:

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of pur-

chase. If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain
statutory rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by
the warranty described below.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep your
receipt in a safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase.

If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the
date of purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the
product for you or refund the purchase price (at our discretion). This
warranty service requires that you present the defective appliance
and the proof of purchase (receipt) within the three-year warranty
period, along with a brief written description of the fault and of
when it occurred.

If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be
repaired or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product
does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period.

Warranty period and statutory claims for defects

The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the
warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components.
Any damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be re­ported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out after expiry
of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty

This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict
quality guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.

The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warran­ty does not extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear
or to fragile parts which could be considered as consumable parts
such as switches, batteries or parts made of glass.

The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged,
improperly used or improperly maintained. The directions in the operat­ing instructions for the product regarding proper use of the product are
to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are discouraged in the
operating instructions or which are warned against must be avoided.

This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial
purposes. The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or
improper handling, use of force and modifications / repairs which
have not been carried out by one of our authorised Service centres.

Warranty claim procedure

To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the follow­ing instructions:

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Dieser Steckdosen-Heizlüfter, nachfolgend Gerät oder Heizlüfter
genannt, ist nur zum Beheizen von geschlossenen Innenräumen
bestimmt und nur für den privaten Gebrauch vorgesehen.

Das Gerät ist nicht zur Verwendung in Räumen vorgesehen, in denen
besondere Bedingungen vorherrschen, wie z. B. korrosive oder
explosionsfähige Atmosphäre (Staub, Dampf oder Gas). Es ist nicht
vorgesehen für das Aufheizen von z. B. Autos oder Zelten.

Das Gerät darf nicht außerhalb von geschlossenen Räumen genutzt
werden. Jede andere Verwendung oder Veränderung des Gerätes
gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und birgt erhebliche Unfallgefah­ren. Es ist nicht vorgesehen zur Verwendung in gewerblichen oder
industriellen Bereichen.

Inbetriebnahme

Anforderungen an den Betriebsort

Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes muss der
Betriebsort folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:

– Das Gerät darf nur in einer Netzsteckdose in aufrechter Position

und komplett montiert betrieben werden.

– Die Netzsteckdose muss leicht zugänglich sein, so dass das

Gerät notfalls leicht abgezogen werden kann.

– Es sind zum Gehäuse Mindestabstände von 20 cm seitlich,

30 cm nach oben und 50 cm nach vorne einzuhalten.

– Achten Sie immer darauf, dass die Luft frei ein- und austreten

kann. Ansonsten kann es zu einem Hitzestau in dem Gerät
kommen.

GEFAHR

Brandgefahr durch Materialkontakt!

► Vermeiden Sie Berührungskontakt von brennbaren Materialien

(z. B. Textilien) mit dem Gerät.

► Decken Sie das Gerät nicht ab.

Bedienung und Betrieb

Gerät ein- und ausschalten

♦ Stecken Sie das Gerät in eine geeignete, frei zugängliche

Netzsteckdose. Die Betriebs-LED2 leuchtet rot und zeigt an,
dass sich das Gerät im Standby-Modus befindet.

♦ Drücken Sie die Taste 1, um den Heizlüfter einzuschalten. Im

Display3 erscheint die im Auslieferungszustand voreingestellte
Temperatur  (25° Celsius).

♦ Drücken Sie die Taste

in den Standby-Modus zu schalten. Das Display3 erlischt,
die Betriebs-LED2 leuchtet weiterhin rot. Der Lüfter läuft, zum
Abkühlen des Gerätes, einige Zeit weiter.

♦ Um das Gerät vollständig auszuschalten, muss es von der

Stromversorgung getrennt werden. Ziehen Sie es dazu aus der
Netzsteckdose.

WARNUNG

► Der Heizlüfter wird im Betrieb sehr heiß. Lassen Sie ihn abküh-

len, bevor Sie ihn aus der Netzsteckdose ziehen. Berühren Sie
den Heizlüfter nur an den dafür vorgesehenen Griffmulden8.

Temperatur einstellen

Sie können am Heizlüfter einen Temperaturbereich von 15° Celsius
bis 30° Celsius einstellen.

♦ Drücken Sie die Taste

Display3 erscheint die im Auslieferungszustand voreingestellte
Temperatur () bzw. die zuletzt eingestellte Temperatur.

♦ Drücken Sie wiederholt die Taste4, um die Temperatur in

1°-Celsius-Schritten zu erhöhen.

♦ Drücken Sie wiederholt die Taste

1°-Celsius-Schritten zu verringern.

HINWEIS

► Der Heizlüfter beginnt den Heizvorgang erst, wenn die Raum-

temperatur den eingestellten Temperaturwert unterschritten hat.

► Sobald die Raumtemperatur den eingestellten Temperaturwert

erreicht hat, unterbricht das Gerät den Heizvorgang solange,
bis die Raumtemperatur wieder den eingestellten Temperatur­wert unterschritten hat.

Der Heizlüfter verfügt über zwei kombinierte Heiz-/Gebläsestufen.

♦ Drücken Sie im eingeschalteten Zustand einmal die TasteSET.

Das Gerät besitzt einen Timer, mit dem Sie die gewünschte Heizdau­er zwischen 1 bis 24 Stunden einstellen können. Nach Ablauf der
Heizdauer schaltet das Gerät automatisch in den Standby-Modus.

Schutzeinrichtungen

Überhitzungsschutz

Das Gerät ist mit einem thermostatgesteuerten Überhitzungsschutz
ausgestattet. Wenn das Gerät intern zu heiß wird, schaltet sich das
Heizelement und das Gebläse automatisch ab. Ziehen Sie in diesem
Fall das Gerät aus der Netzsteckdose und lassen Sie es 30 Minuten
lang abkühlen. Stecken Sie das Gerät dann wieder in die Netzsteck­dose und schalten Sie es ein.

WARNUNG

Überhitzung kann Brandgefahr bedeuten!

► Kontrollieren Sie, ob das Gerät seine Wärme ausreichend ab-

geben kann: Ist das Gerät abgedeckt, sind die Lüftungsschlitze
verstopft oder wird der Ventilator blockiert?

► Beseitigen Sie, wenn möglich, das Problem oder wenden Sie

sich an den Kundendienst (siehe Kapitel Service).

Kippsicherung

Der Heizlüfter muss immer in aufrechter Position, mit dem Display3
nach oben in eine Netzsteckdose gesteckt werden. Die Kippsiche­rung schaltet das Gerät aus, sobald es um einige Grad aus der
aufrechten Position geneigt wird. Sobald sich das Gerät wieder
in aufrechter Position befindet, kann es durch erneutes Einschalten
wieder betrieben werden.

Reinigung

WARNUNG

► Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung das Gerät aus der Netzsteckdose.
► Lassen Sie das Gerät vor dem Reinigen soweit abkühlen, dass

keine Verbrennungsgefahr mehr besteht.

► Reinigen Sie das Gerät ausschließlich im kalten Zustand.

ACHTUNG

► Stellen Sie sicher, dass bei der Reinigung keine Feuchtigkeit in

das Gerät eindringt, um eine irreparable Beschädigung des
Gerätes zu vermeiden.

► Tauchen Sie das Gerät nie in Wasser ein und schützen Sie es

vor Spritz- und Tropfwasser.

♦ Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse ausschließlich mit einem leicht feuch-

ten Tuch und einem milden Spülmittel.

♦ Entfernen Sie Staubablagerungen am Schutzgitter und an den

Lüftungsschlitzen mit einem Pinsel oder Staubsauger.

Lagerung

♦ Trennen Sie das Gerät bei Nichtgebrauch von der Stromversor-

gung und lagern Sie es an einem sauberen, trockenen Ort ohne
direkte Sonneneinstrahlung.

Entsorgung

Gerät entsorgen

Das Symbol einer durchgestrichenen Mülltonne auf
Rädern zeigt an, dass dieses Gerät der Richtlinie
2012/19/EU unterliegt. Diese Richtlinie besagt, dass Sie
dieses Gerät am Ende seiner Nutzungszeit nicht mit dem
normalen Haushaltsmüll entsorgen dürfen, sondern in
speziell eingerichteten Sammelstellen, Wertstoffhöfen
oder Entsorgungsbetrieben abgeben müssen. Diese
Entsorgung ist für Sie kostenfrei. Schonen Sie die Umwelt
und entsorgen Sie fachgerecht.

Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde,
Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Im

Falle von Mängeln dieses Produkts stehen Ihnen gegen den Verkäu­fer des Produkts gesetzliche Rechte zu. Diese gesetzlichen Rechte
werden durch unsere im Folgenden dargestellte Garantie nicht einge­schränkt.

Garantiebedingungen

Die Garantiefrist beginnt mit dem Kaufdatum. Bitte bewahren Sie den
Kassenbon gut auf. Dieser wird als Nachweis für den Kauf benötigt.

Tritt innerhalb von drei Jahren ab dem Kaufdatum dieses Produkts
ein Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler auf, wird das Produkt von
uns – nach unserer Wahl – für Sie kostenlos repariert, ersetzt oder
der Kaufpreis erstattet. Diese Garantieleistung setzt voraus, dass
innerhalb der Dreijahresfrist das defekte Gerät und der Kaufbeleg
(Kassenbon) vorgelegt und schriftlich kurz beschrieben wird, worin
der Mangel besteht und wann er aufgetreten ist.

Wenn der Defekt von unserer Garantie gedeckt ist, erhalten Sie
das reparierte oder ein neues Produkt zurück. Mit Reparatur oder
Austausch des Produkts beginnt kein neuer Garantiezeitraum.

Garantiezeit und gesetzliche Mängelansprüche

Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert.
Dies gilt auch für ersetzte und reparierte Teile. Eventuell schon beim
Kauf vorhandene Schäden und Mängel müssen sofort nach dem

Das Gerät wurde nach strengen Qualitätsrichtlinien sorgfältig produ­ziert und vor Auslieferung gewissenhaft geprüft.

Die Garantieleistung gilt für Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler.
Diese Garantie erstreckt sich nicht auf Produktteile, die normaler
Abnutzung ausgesetzt sind und daher als Verschleißteile angesehen
werden können oder für Beschädigungen an zerbrechlichen Teilen,
z. B. Schalter, Akkus oder Teile, die aus Glas gefertigt sind.

Diese Garantie verfällt, wenn das Produkt beschädigt, nicht sachge­mäß benutzt oder gewartet wurde. Für eine sachgemäße Benutzung
des Produkts sind alle in der Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführten
Anweisungen genau einzuhalten. Verwendungszwecke und Hand­lungen, von denen in der Bedienungsanleitung abgeraten oder vor
denen gewarnt wird, sind unbedingt zu vermeiden.

Das Produkt ist nur für den privaten und nicht für den gewerblichen
Gebrauch bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher und unsachgemäßer
Behandlung, Gewaltanwendung und bei Eingriffen, die nicht von
unserer autorisierten Serviceniederlassung vorgenommen wurden,
erlischt die Garantie.
