Introduction
Information about these operating instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance. You have
thereby decided in favour of a high quality product. These operating
instructions are a component of the Aroma Diffuser SAD12B2 (hereafter referred to as the appliance or product) and they provide you
with important information about the intended use, safety, connection
and operation of the appliance. These operating instructions must be
constantly kept available close to the appliance. They are to be read
and applied by everyone assigned to operate the appliance and to
eliminate faults with it. Retain these operating instructions and pass
them on, together with the appliance, to a possible future owner.

with the written authorisation of the manufacturer.
Intended Use
This appliance is intended only for domestic use and for the refreshing
and humidification of air in enclosed spaces. This appliance is not
intended for any other use or for uses beyond those mentioned here.

Risks can be engendered by the appliance if it is used for
unintended purposes and/or other types of use.
► Use the appliance exclusively for its intended purposes.

Claims of any kind resulting from damage caused by improper use,
incompetent repairs, unauthorized modifications or the use of nonapproved spare parts will not be acknowledged.
The operator alone bears liability.

In these extant operating instructions the following warnings are used:

handling of the appliance.

Safety
In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding
the handling of the appliance. Incorrect usage can, however, lead to
personal and property damage.
Basic safety instructions
For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety
information:

Before use, check the appliance for signs of visible
external damage. Do not put into operation an
appliance that is damaged or has been dropped.
There is also a risk of personal injury!
■ This appliance may be used by children of the age
of 8 years or more and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they are supervised
or, in regard to the safe use of the appliance, have
been instructed in its use and understand the potential risks. Children must not play with the appliance.
Children should not carry out cleaning and user
maintenance tasks without supervision.
■ Operate the appliance only with the supplied
power adapter.
■ The appliance and mains adapter may only
be used in dry interior rooms.
■ Place the appliance only on flat surfaces, so that a
tipping over is excluded.

■ Repairs should only be carried out by authorised
specialist companies or by the Customer Service
Department. Incorrect repairs can result in significant risks for the user. In addition, warranty claims
become void.
■ To avoid risks, arrange for defective power plugs
and/or cables to be replaced at once by qualified
technicians or our Customer Service Department.
■ This appliance may not be exposed to rain. Protect
the appliance from moisture and the penetration
of liquids and objects into the housing. NEVER
submerse the appliance in water and do not place
objects filled with liquids (such as vases) on the
appliance. The appliance could also be irreparably
damaged!
■ Before filling/emptying the water tank and before
cleaning, disconnect the plug from the mains power
socket.
■ Do not operate the appliance close to open flames
(e.g. candles). The appliance could also be irreparably damaged!
■ Avoid direct solar radiation. The appliance could
be irreparably damaged!
■ Always disconnect the mains power cable from the
socket by pulling on the plug, do not pull on the
cable itself. Otherwise, the power cable could be
damaged.

WARNING
During the commissioning of the appliance perso-
nal injury and property damage could occur!
Observe the following safety information to avoid these risks:
► Packaging material should not be used by children as a play
thing. There is a risk of suffocation.
► To avoid damage to people and property, pay heed to
the requirements for the installation site and the electrical
connection of the appliance.

The appliance is supplied with the following components as standard:

NOTICE
► Check the contents to ensure everything has been provided,
and for signs of visible damage.
► If the contents are incomplete, or have been damaged due
to defective packaging or transportation, contact the Service
Hotline (see chapter Service).
Unpacking
♦ Remove all parts of the appliance and these operating instruc-
tions from the box.
♦ Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage.
The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their
environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit
saves on raw material and reduces generated waste.
Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed
according to the regionally established regulations.

Electrical connection
IMPORTANT
►
Before you connect the appliance to the power supply, check
to ensure that the required input voltage as given on the type
plate tallies with that for the intended power source. To avoid
possible damage to the appliance this data must match.
► Check to ensure that the cable for the power adapter
is not damaged and that it does not lead over hot surfaces
and or sharp edges, otherwise it could be damaged.
► Ensure that the cable for the power adapter
is not over-
taut or kinked.
♦ Connect the power adapter
to the appliance by inserting the
plug into the plug socket on the underside of the appliance.
Handling and operation
Initial use
IMPORTANT
► Use only 100% essential oils.
► Pay heed to the instructions by the manufacturer of the
essential oils.
► It is possible that oil drops may cause damage to furniture
surfaces. If necessary, place a cloth under the appliance.
♦ Place the appliance on a level and stable surface.
♦ Remove the lid
and fill the water tank , by
using the supplied measuring beaker, with max. 120 ml of
clean mains water. Pay heed to the maximum filling level .
♦ Add 3 to 5 drops of the desired essential oil to the water.
