INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIELD INSTALLATION OF AN A1960E
SERIES PRESSURE DIGITAL PANEL METER (PDM)

1. Unplug the power cord of the modular controller. Remove the (2) screws from the back side (at

14. Attach the blue wire of the pressure harness assembly to any available position on terminal #7 of
the terminal block on R.H. bottom side of the controller.

15. Remove and discard hole plug in the "press. input" opening on rear panel of 4840 chassis.

16. Install the pressure input connector on the pressure harness into the opening previously covered
with a hole plug removed in step 15. Short green wire with ring terminal goes on one of the
connector mounting studs.

17. If DPM has an analog out connector install the 896E BNC connector into the appropriate hole on
the back panel of the controller. Solder the red wire from position 5 of the pressure harness to the
center post of the BNC connector . Solder the black wire from position 9 of the pressure harness
to the outer tab of the BNC connector.

18. Connect the pressure transducer to the controller with the (A1905E Series) external pressure
harness.

19. Reinstall red plastic cover to DPM.

20. Close hinged controller cover and reinstall the two retaining screws.

21. The A1960E Series pressure DPM is calibrated at Parr Instrument Company. No further
adjustments are required.
