Television in the UK is going digital, bringing us all more choice
and new services. Starting in late 2007 and ending in 2012,
television services in the UK will go completely digital, TV region
by TV region.

Please see overleaf to find out when your area switches to
digital.

How to re-tune:

≥As Digital Switchover nears your area, you should receive

further details, via post, from Digital UK.

≥Digital Switchover will cover a period of several weeks. When it

starts some Digital TV channels will be missing.
You will need to retune your DVD Recorder each time this
happens to recover your digital channels.

Digital UK is the independent, non-profit organisation leading the
process of digital TV switchover in the UK. Digital UK provides
impartial information on what people need to do to prepare for
the move to digital, and when they need to do it.

How the switchover affects your DVD
Recorder:

When the TV switchover happens in your area, there are at least
two occasions when you will need to re-tune your DVD Recorder
in order to continue receiving your existing TV channels, and
also to pick up new ones. Digital UK, the body leading the digital
TV switchover, will advise you when you need to re-tune during
the switchover.

If you find you can’t receive the extra digital channels, it may be
because your area is not covered by Freeview yet or that you
need an aerial upgrade. Visit www.digital.co.uk to check.

2Press [3, 4] to select “To Others”, then press [OK].
3Press [3, 4] to select “Setup”, then press [OK].
4Press [3, 4] to select “Tuning”, then press [1].
5Press [3, 4] to select “Auto-Setup Restart”, then press

[OK].

6Press [2, 1] to select “Yes”, then press [OK].

However, if you perform “Auto-Setup Restart”, all timer
programmes and all created profiles are deleted.
Please re-set.

If you are missing any channels, it may be that they are not
available in your area, or that your aerial needs upgrading.
