• Do not immerse the battery pack in liquid or get it
wet.
• Do not leave the battery pack near a heat source
such as a stove.
• Do not charge the battery pack on unspecified
instruments.
• Do not charge the battery pack in conditions
outside the specified environment. (Over 40°C
(104°F))
• Do not put the battery pack into fire or heat it.
• Do not short-circuit the + and – terminals on the
battery pack.
• Do not give strong impact to or deform the
battery pack.
• Do not disassemble or modify the battery pack.
Lithium Ion Battery
SB-220V
General
The SB-220V lithium ion battery (hereafter referred to as battery
pack) is for the AED-2150K/L, AED-2151K and AED-2152K/L
automated external debrillators (hereafter referred to as AED).
To charge the battery pack, use the SB-205V battery charger.
NOTE: When using this battery pack, also refer to the
operator’s manual for the AED and the battery
charger.

• Do not charge the battery pack in a high
temperature place such as near a stove or in
sun-heated cars.
WARNING
• Replace the battery pack every 2 years.
• Do not use a damaged or deformed battery
pack.
WARNING
Fully charge the battery pack at the time it is
delivered, regardless of whether you will use it
soon. The battery pack gradually discharges and it
may become unusable.

A danger is used to alert the user to a hazardous
situation which will cause death or serious injury.
A warning alerts the user to the possible injury or
death associated with the use or misuse of the
instrument.
A caution alerts the user to possible injury or
problems with the instrument associated with its
use or misuse such as instrument malfunction,
instrument failure, damage to the instrument, or
damage to other property.

WARNING
When the battery pack is inserted in the AED,
charge the battery pack every 3 months so that it is
always ready for use in an emergency. After
charging, install the battery pack in the AED and
confirm that the status indicator lights in green.
WARNING
When the battery pack is stored without inserting it
in the AED after it is fully charged, charge it every 6
months. The battery pack gradually discharges and
it may become unusable.
WARNING
If the battery pack is damaged and the substance
inside the battery pack contacts the eyes, wash
immediately and thoroughly with water and see a
physician. Never rub your eyes, because you may
lose your eyesight.
CAUTION
Do not leave the battery pack in direct sunlight or
high temperatures such as in a sun-heated car.
This may cause leakage of the battery pack,
degrade its performance and make it unusable.

CAUTION
If the battery pack is damaged and the substance
inside the battery pack contacts the skin or cloth,
wash immediately with clear water. The skin may
get irritated.
CAUTION
Store the battery pack in the specified
environmental conditions. Otherwise, the battery
pack may deteriorate or become unusable.
CAUTION
When recycling or disposing of the battery pack,
follow your local law.

The CE mark is a protected conformity mark of the
European Community. Products marked with this
symbol comply with the requirements of the Medical
Device Directive 93/42/EEC.
Products marked with this symbol require separate
waste collection according to EU battery directive
2006/66/EC.

Press to check the remaining battery on the remaining battery indicators.
NOTE • Always have a fully charged battery pack ready
as a spare.
• When bringing the battery pack on an airplane,
consult the airline beforehand.
• When transporting the battery pack on an airplane,
consult the shipping company beforehand.
• Charge the battery after every use. Do not leave
the battery uncharged for 2 weeks. This causes the
battery to discharge and become unusable.

With a new battery pack at a surrounding temperature of 20°C
(68°F) using the SB-205V battery charger

debrillations that can be performed with a fully
charged new battery pack, refer to the operator’s
manual for the AED.

standby power lasts for about 3 months.

Follow instructions for use
Writing Down the Installation Date
When installing the battery pack
in the AED for the rst time,
write the date of rst use in the
Installation Date column on the
label of the battery pack.
The battery pack gradually
deteriorates with total hours of
use. Replace the battery pack
every 2 years regardless of the
total hours of use.
Do not use a battery pack which
is past the “Install Before” date.
