The Life Scope® G9 is Nihon Kohden’s premier bedside monitor that

The Smarter Cable
Nihon Kohden’s proprietary Smart Cable™
technology contains miniaturized circuitry, allowing
it to seamlessly work with any port in a Life Scope
patient monitor. With just one Smart Cable, a
clinician can quickly switch between cardiac
output, EtCO, blood pressure, temperature, BIS
and more, as the need arises, eliminating the need
to spend critical minutes tracking down dierent
cables and modules for each parameter.

Nihon Kohden’s Life Scope G9 is a fully optimized bedside monitor that
allows high acuity care teams to be uniquely patient ready, ensuring a
level of patient monitoring that is without compromise. And by oering
one standard of care across the acuity care continuum, the Life Scope
G9 can foster collaboration and care coordination, which can improve
quality and outcomes.
With up to three, independent, interactive and congurable
screens, the Life Scope G9 oers care area-specic
functionality to optimize specialty monitoring. In the event
of a patient with an infectious disease, one monitor can be
set up in the isolation room and a second can be set up
outside of the room for quick viewing of patient information.
This advanced feature, called NK-HealthProtectTM, is
designed to help safeguard patients and healthcare
providers during a public health crisis.
SEAMLESS TRANSPORT
With today’s high acuity patients, it is important to maintain a
high standard of monitoring care, even during transport. The
unique design of Nihon Kohden’s Life Scope Transport (BSM-
1700) monitor and the Life Scope G9 data acquisition unit
redenes transport monitoring.
Simply disconnect the Life Scope Transport from the data
acquisition unit and your patient can be transported with
full monitoring capabilities. When the patient is transferred
to a new care setting, patient information, including full
disclosure, is uploaded to the new bedside display, creating
one seamless patient record and enhancing workow and
care coordination.
With the support of Nihon Kohden’s WLAN transport, all patient
information can be seamlessly monitored at the Life Scope
G9 and Life Scope Central Station (CNS-6801) even during
transport, which can allow clinicians to identify potential
health issues early.
PROGRESSIVE AMBULATION
Ambulation is an essential part of recovery in a hospital that may decrease the length of stay and
improve outcomes, but the need for continuous patient monitoring can hinder this.
The Life Scope G3 series of patient monitors (GZ-120, GZ-130) and NK-HiQ™ View allows patients to get
up and walking while maintaining uninterrupted monitoring on the Life Scope G9 main screen. Once
a patient returns to the bedside, the information from the Life Scope G3 remains with the Life Scope
G9 and is combined into one complete patient le.
ENHANCES PATIENT EXPERIENCE
Patient-centered care can improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. With Life
Scope G9’s sleep mode, the bedside monitor is darkened and the ECG synch sound
and alarm indicator are disabled, preventing the monitor from disturbing the patient
during rest or sleep. When the Life Scope G9 is connected to the Life Scope Central
Station (CNS-6801), both the patient and clinical sta can rest assured that full
monitoring capabilities remain. Further oversight is ensured with interbed monitoring
of vital information and alarm status of another bed in the network.
