10-BIT VIDEO CONVERTER. The MVP841 features an extremely fast video DAC that eliminates digital artifacts, resulting in film-like picture quality. A DVD is capable of delivering 500 lines of horizontal resolution, which is more than twice that of standard VHS tapes.
ULTRA-STABLE TRANSPORT. Stability is particularly important in a home theater environment with high sound-pressure levels. The MVP841’s fast and quiet transport with digital servo improve trackability for a lower bit-error rate. This improves picture quality as well as the digital output to the audio decoder.
DUAL-FOCUS LENS. Rather than using two separate laser assemblies to read dual-layer discs, the MVP841 employs just one laser that is split and then passed through a dual-focus lens. This elegant solution reduces mechanical complexity, improving reliability and durability.

CONTROL DATA INPUT. This enables a McIntosh Control Center to operate the MVP841.
REMOTE POWER CONTROL. This enables the MVP841 to turn on/off with other McIntosh
equipment.

About the MVP841 Companion Products
The McIntosh products shown at right are logical companions for the MVP841. Separate literature is available. Check with your McIntosh dealer for any late additions. McIntosh speaker systems are also covered in detail in separate literature.
MX132 A/V Control Center + Processor; MC7205 5-Channel Power Amplifier. The MX132 is the
brains behind a McIntosh home theater system. It features precision decoding of Dolby Digital DTS®soundtracks and connects to the powerful MC7205 via a single cable. The MC7205 delivers
200 watts (4) to all five channels.
Home Theater Series Loudspeakers. McIntosh Home Theater Louspeakers and Loudspeaker Systems deliver a musical, non-fatiguing sound not often heard from loudspeakers. McIntosh designs and engineers loudspeakers for any home theater, multi-room or 2-channel application. Home Theater speakers include three front chan-
delivers deep, well-controlled bass that will satisfy even large listening rooms. An Authorized McIntosh Dealer can advise and assist you in choosing the optimum loudspeaker for your application and environment.
SL1 Powered Subwoofer. An alternative to the HT2, the powered SL1 delivers tight, deep bass (down to 20Hz) with its 12-inch LD/HP
RCT4 Remote Translator. The Translator allows non-McIntosh components to be operated with a McIntosh handheld remote or keypad controller. It connects to the data outputs on McIntosh Control Centers such as the MX132.
PC4 AC Power Controller. The PC4 provides five AC outlets (four switched) for turning nonMcIntosh components on and off automatically when it is connected to the power control output of a Control Center or Integrated Amplifier.

ost consumer electronics products are necessarily viewed as short-term investments because either they don’t last

or they quickly become obsolete in some way. Coincidentally, manufacturers supply a steady stream of “new-and-improved” products that you can buy. Again.
Behind every McIntosh is a fifty-year heritage of excellence,

lines, no “price-point” engineering, no planned obsolescence. McIntosh equipment is made to sound better and last longer.
When McIntosh products are presented to customers, the criteria they have been conditioned to overlook – reliability, longevity, craftsmanship, ease-of-use, adaptability, pride of ownership – suddenly leap to the top of their list.
The choice becomes clear: There is nothing like a McIntosh.
