Introduction

This caution sheet describes the precautionary points for using the White Ring Diffuse Illumination CA-DRW(X) Series (CA-DRWX). Read this caution sheet before using the product in order to achieve maximum performance. Keep this caution sheet in a safe place after reading it so that it can be used at any time. CA-DRW(X) Series are dedicated for use with KEYENCE LED illumination expansion units (CA-DC30E). In order to use this product safely, be sure to first read the instruction manual of the LED illumination expansion unit to which this product will be connected.

This caution sheet uses the following symbols so that you can recognize important messages at a glance. Please read it in its entirety.

Safety precaution

• Do not stare into the direct or specularly reflected LED light. In extremely rare cases, the strong light, blinking light, or light pattern may induce spasms or other medical conditions.

• Do not use optical devices to view the LED light. Using certain types of optical devices (such as loupes, magnifying glasses, and microscopes) to view the LED light may lead to eye damage.

Do not connect this product to any devices other than the supported illumination expansion units. Doing so may lead to malfunctions of this product and the device to which it is connected.

Note the following points when using the CA-DRW20X.

• If you connect the CA-DC30E to two illumination units that include the CA-DRW20X, the maximum volume will be 80 regardless of the setting value.

• Ensure that the total LED light cable length (not including the length of relay cables) is within 10 m.
