exceeds 85% RH, or where condensations occurs.
• Locations where there are corrosive gas or flammable gas
• Locations where there are much dust, sodium, or iron powder.

General precautions
• Verify that this device is operating normally in terms of functionality and
performance before the start of work and before the start of device operation.
• Take appropriate safety measures to avoid any damage in case of device
failure.
• KEYENCE is unable to guarantee the function or performance of the CACNX10U/CHX10U if it is used in a manner that differs from the CACNX10U/CHX10U specifications contained in this manual or if the CACNX10U/CHX10U is modified.
• The functions and performance of the CA-CNX10U/CHX10U may not be
satisfactory depending on the operating conditions or operating environment if it is used in combination with other devices. Use it with other
devices only after careful consideration.
• Do not use the CA-CNX10U/CHX10U for protecting the human body.
• Turn off the power of the CA-CNX10U/CHX10U immediately
if one of the following incidents occurs. If you continue to
use the device while the abnormality persists, fire, electric
shock, or malfunction may result. Contact your KEYENCE
office for repair service.
When liquid such as water, oil, and chemicals or other
foreign materials enter inside the unit
When the strong impact is applied or the housing is damaged
When smoke, foul odor or abnormal noise is emitted from
the unit
• Do not disassemble or modify the unit, or connect it to anything other than compatible devices. Failure to do so may
result in fire, electrical shock, or equipment malfunction.
• Be sure to power off the CA-CNX10U/CHX10U and its
accessories, when you plug/unplug the cable. Otherwise a
fire, electrical shock, burn or malfunction could result.
Tips on Correct Use
Compatible devices
There are two types prepared for this unit.: for normal camera and high-speed
camera. Each unit has a restriction for connectable cameras, cables and controllers.
Note that the unit may be damaged if incompatible cameras,
cables or controllers are connected.
Handling
• In case of transportation, use the same packaging as when
the unit was delivered to avoid damage.
• If the unit has any dirt on it, wipe it off with a cloth moistened
with a mild detergent, then rub with a dry cloth. Do not rub
with a wet cloth, benzene, thinner, or alcohol. Doing so could
change the color or shape of the unit.
Mounting
Apply appropriate torque specified below or lower when mounting the following units.
CA-CNX10U/CA-CHX10U (penetrating hole x 2) . . . . . . . . .0.5 Nm
Tighten the cable connectors until the rotation part stops rotating. The
unit may not operate normally if the rotation part is loosely tightened.
Notes for CE Marking
We have confirmed that CA-CNX10U/CA-CHX10U comply with the essential
requirements of EMC Directive in system configuration with the compatible
controllers. Therefore, when using this unit in EU Member States, be sure to
read user's manuals of the compatible controllers.
Connecting the repeater
Part names and functions
(1) Camera connector (CAMERA side) .............. Connect to the camera.
(2) Output connector (CONTROLLER side) ....... Connect to the controller.

WARRANTIES AND DISCLAIMERS
(1) KEYENCE warrants the Products to be free of defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment. If any
models or samples were shown to Buyer, such models or samples were
used merely to illustrate the general type and quality of the Products and
not to represent that the Products would necessarily conform to said
models or samples. Any Products found to be defective must be shipped to
KEYENCE with all shipping costs paid by Buyer or offered to KEYENCE
for inspection and examination. Upon examination by KEYENCE,
KEYENCE, at its sole option, will refund the purchase price of, or repair or
replace at no charge any Products found to be defective. This warranty
does not apply to any defects resulting from any action of Buyer, including
but not limited to improper installation, improper interfacing, improper
repair, unauthorized modification, misapplication and mishandling, such as
exposure to excessive current, heat, coldness, moisture, vibration or
outdoors air. Components which wear are not warranted.
(2) KEYENCE is pleased to offer suggestions on the use of its various
Products. They are only suggestions, and it is Buyer's responsibility to
ascertain the fitness of the Products for Buyer’s intended use. KEYENCE
will not be responsible for any damages that may result from the use of the
Products.
(3) The Products and any samples ("Products/Samples") supplied to Buyer are
not to be used internally in humans, for human transportation, as safety
devices or fail-safe systems, unless their written specifications state
otherwise. Should any Products/Samples be used in such a manner or
misused in any way, KEYENCE assumes no responsibility, and additionally
Buyer will indemnify KEYENCE and hold KEYENCE harmless from any
liability or damage whatsoever arising out of any misuse of the Products/
Samples.
(4) OTHER THAN AS STATED HEREIN, THE PRODUCTS/SAMPLES ARE
PROVIDED WITH NO OTHER WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER. ALL
EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING,
WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
OF PROPRIETARY RIGHTS, ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED.
IN NO EVENT SHALL KEYENCE AND ITS AFFILIATED ENTITIES BE

OF ITS AFFILIATED ENTITIES WAS ADVISED OF A POSSIBLE THIRD
PARTY’S CLAIM FOR DAMAGES OR ANY OTHER CLAIM AGAINST
BUYER. In some jurisdictions, some of the foregoing warranty disclaimers
or damage limitations may not apply.
BUYER'S TRANSFER OBLIGATIONS:
If the Products/Samples purchased by Buyer are to be resold or delivered
to a third party, Buyer must provide such third party with a copy of this
document, all specifications, manuals, catalogs, leaflets and written
information provided to Buyer pertaining to the Products/Samples.
