Instructions for Use

Description

Skyce is a range of crystal glass tooth jewellery.
The stones are bonded to the labial surfaces of
natural upper anterior teeth without invasive
preparation.

Colour and sizes

Skyce is available in two sizes:
– 1.9 mm in diameter
– 2.4 mm in diameter

Colour:
– transparent

Step by step application

1. A rubber dam must be placed to avoid the
aspiration or swallowing of the tooth jewellery.

2. The contact surface of the tooth must be
professionally cleaned with brushes or cups and
polishing paste, eg Proxyt.

3. A 37-% phosphoric acid gel (eg Total Etch) is
applied to the contact surface.The diameter of
the etched surface must be slightly larger than
that of the stone.
Note:The tooth must be etched for at least 60 s.

4. After 60 s of etching, thoroughly rinse off the
phosphoric acid with water.

5. Carefully dry the tooth surface.

6. Apply a thin coat of Heliobond or Tetric Evo­Flow onto the etched region.

7. Apply Heliobond or Tetric EvoFlow to the clean
reverse side of Skyce and place the stone on
the tooth surface. Some Heliobond or Tetric
EvoFlow must come out along the sides of the
stone to provide a setting for the stone.

Recommendation

In order to optimize the bond, fully coat the stone
with a thin layer of Heliobond. This does not
impair the lustre of the stone.
Note: Tetric EvoFlow is unsuitable for this pur­pose.

8. The jewel must be light cured for at least 40 s
both from the labial and palatal aspects (eg
with bluephase

9. If,in rare cases, excess has to be removed, only
use silicone polishers. Rotary instruments must
not touch the stone to prevent scratching.

Notes

1. It is easier to apply Skyce if it is held with a
probe to which soft wax or a bit of adhesive
material from the tip of a OptraStick has been
applied.

2. Do not touch the stone with your fingers or
allow it to become contaminated with saliva. If
Skyce is contaminated, carefully clean the stone
with acrylic pellets in an alcohol bath.

warnings, see the corresponding Instructions
for use

4. Skyce can be removed whenever desired.

Gebrauchsinformation

Beschreibung

Bei Skyce handelt es sich um Zahnschmuck aus
Kristallglas, der ohne invasive Präparation auf die
Labialflächen der natürlichen Frontzähne des
Oberkiefers geklebt wird.

Farbe und Grössen

Skyce gibt es in zwei Grössen:
– Ø 1,9 mm
– Ø 2,4 mm

Farbe:
– transparent

Step by step

1. Unbedingt Kofferdam legen, um einem mög­lichen Aspirieren bzw. Verschlucken des
Schmucksteins vorzubeugen

2. Die zu beklebende Zahnoberfläche professionell
mit Bürstchen bzw.Kelch und einer Polierpaste,
z.B. Proxyt, gründlich reinigen

3. 37%iges Phosphorsäuregel (z.B.Total Etch) auf
die zu beklebende Zahnoberfläche aufbringen.
Der Durchmesser der geätzten Fläche muss
etwas grösser als der Durchmesser des
Schmucksteins sein.
Hinweis: 60 s Ätzzeit sind in jedem Fall einzu­halten!

4. Nach 60 s die Phosphorsäure gründlich mit
Wasser abspülen

5. Die Zahnoberfläche sorgfältig trocknen

6. Heliobond oder Tetric EvoFlow dünn auf den ge­ätzten Bereich aufbringen

7. Heliobond oder Tetric EvoFlow auf die saubere
Rückseite von Skyce auftragen und den Stein
auf der Zahnoberfläche platzieren. Heliobond
bzw.Tetric EvoFlow muss seitlich heraustreten,
um den Stein zu fassen

Tipp

Um die Haftung zu optimieren, den Stein mit einer
dünnen Schicht Heliobond vollständig überziehen;
das Funkeln des Steins wird nicht beeinträchtigt!
Achtung: Tetric EvoFlow eignet sich für diesen
Überzug nicht.

Besondere Hinweise

1. Das Kleben geht einfacher,wenn Skyce an einer
mit weichem Wachs oder Klebemasse des
OptraSticks versehenen Sondenspitze befestigt
wird.

2. Die Rückseite des Schmucksteines keinesfalls
mit den Fingern berühren oder mit Speichel
kontaminieren. Bei erfolgter Kontamination
Skyce sorgfältig mit einem Kunststoffpellet im
Alkoholbad reinigen

Mode d'emploi

Description :

Skyce est un bijou dentaire en verre de cristal, qui
est collé sans préparation invasive sur les surfaces
vestibulaires des antérieures du haut.

Teinte et tailles :

Les bijoux Skyce sont disponibles en 2 tailles :
– Ø 1,9 mm
– Ø 2,4 mm

Teinte :
– transparent

Mise en œuvre pas à pas :

1. Afin d'éviter que le patient n'aspire ou
n'avale les bijoux, l'utilisation d'une digue est
fortement conseillée.

2. La surface devant recevoir le bijou doit être
soigneusement nettoyée avec des brossettes
rotatives ou des pointes siliconées de forme
"coupe" et une pâte à polir (ex. Proxyt).

3. Appliquer un gel de mordançage à l'acide
phosphorique à 37 % sur la surface à coller
(ex. Total Etch). Le diamètre de la surface
mordancée doit être légèrement supérieur à
celui du bijou.

Recommandation : respecter le temps de
mordançage de 60 secondes.

4. Après 60 secondes, rincer soigneusement au
spray l'acide phosphorique.

5. Sécher la dent.

6. Appliquer Heliobond ou Tetric EvoFlow sur la
partie mordancée.

7. Appliquer Heliobond ou Tetric EvoFlow sur la
base du Skyce parfaitement propre et placer
celui-ci sur la dent. Heliobond ou Tetric EvoFlow
doit déborder un peu sur les côtés, afin de sertir
le bijou.

Conseil :

Afin d'optimiser l'adhésion, recouvrir
complètement le Skyce avec une fine couche
d'Heliobond ; ceci ne nuit pas à l'éclat du bijou !
Attention : ce recouvrement ne doit pas être
réalisé avec Tetric EvoFlow.

Important :
Heliobond ou Tetric EvoFlow doivent assurer
un "sertissage" du bijou dentaire.

8. Photopolymériser les faces vestibulaire et
palatine de la dent pendant 40 secondes
(ex. avec bluephase

9. Dans les rares cas où des excédents doivent
être éliminés, utiliser uniquement des pointes à
polir siliconées.Veiller à ce que les instruments
rotatifs n'entrent pas en contact avec le bijou,
pour éviter de rayer sa surface.

Remarques importantes :

1. Pour faciliter le collage, fixer le Skyce au bout
d'un stylet à l'aide de cire molle ou de la colle
du OptraStick.

2. Ne pas toucher la base du Skyce avec les
doigts, ni le contaminer avec de la salive. En cas
de contamination, nettoyer soigneusement avec
une boulette de coton imbibée d'alcool.

3. Effets secondaires, interférences et précautions
d'emploi des moyens de collage et du gel de
mordançage à l'acide phosphorique : voir
modes d'emploi correspondants.

4. Skyce peut être retiré à tout moment si le
patient le souhaite.

Istruzioni d‘uso

Descrizione

Skyce è un set di gioielli dentali in cristallo. Questi
gioielli si applicano con procedura adesiva, senza
alcuna preparazione invasiva, sulle superfici
vestibolari dei denti naturali anteriori dell'arcata
superiore.

Colore e Misure

Skyce è disponibile in due colori e due misure:
– Ø 1,9 mm
– Ø 2,4 mm

Colore:
– trasparente

Sequenza dei passaggi d’applicazione

1. Isolamento del campo con la diga di gomma
per prevenire un’eventuale deglutizione o aspi­razione del gioiello.

2. Detergere la superficie di contatto dei denti
mediante coppette o pennellini e l'utilizzo di
una pasta lucidante, p.e. Proxyt.

3. Applicare acido ortofosforico al 37% in gel
(p.e.Total Etch) sulle superfici di contatto. Il
diametro della superficie mordenzata deve
essere leggermente maggiore di quella del
gioiello.

Attenzione: mordenzare il dente per almeno
60 sec.!

4. Trascorsi i 60 sec. sciacquare accuratamente
l'acido ortofosforico con forte getto d'acqua.

5. Asciugare accuratamente le superfici dentali.

6. Stendere un sottile strato di Heliobond o Tetric
EvoFlow sulle superfici mordenzate.

7. Applicare Heliobond o Tetric EvoFlow sulla
super-ficie di contatto detersa di Skyce, quindi
applicare il cristallo sulla superficie del dente.
Affinché l'adesione del gioiello sia stabile, una
certa quantità di Heliobond o Tetric EvoFlow
deve fuoriuscire dai bordi del cristallo.

Consiglio:

Per ottimizzare l'adesione, si consiglia di ricoprire
totalmente il cristallo con un leggero strato di
Heliobond; ciò non pregiudicherà la sua
lucentezza! Attenzione: non utilizzare Tetric
EvoFlow a tale scopo.

Importante: realizzare la montatura del
gioiello con Heliobond o Tetric EvoFlow.

8. Fotopolimerizzare per almeno 40 sec. sia dal
lato vestibolare che da quello palatale (p.e.con

9. Nei rari casi in cui si rendesse necessaria la
rimozione delle eccedenze, utilizzare esclusiva­mente gommini al silicone. Non toccare il cri­stallo con strumenti rotanti per evitare di graffi­are la pietra.

Note

1. L'applicazione di Skyce è più semplice se il
cristallo viene mantenuto in situ utilizzando la
punta di un OptraStick ricoperta con cera
morbida.

2. Non toccare la parte interna del cristallo con le
dita né contaminarla con saliva. In tal caso
detergere Skyce con cura utilizzando un pellet
sintetico impregnato d’alcol.

3. Per informazioni su effetti collaterali e
