II.UserinstallablewirelessLANandBluetoothcombocard
IfnointegratedwirelessLAN/Bluetoothcombocardhasbeenpreinstalledin
yourcomputer,youcaninstallone,providedbyLenovo
wirelessLANcardintothewirelessLANcardslot.Fortheinstallationprocedure,
see“ReplacingawirelessLANcard”inUserGuide.
Attention:Thecomputercontainsanauthenticationmechanism.Ifyouinstall
anunauthorizedwirelesscommunicationcardthatisnotapprovedforusein
yourcomputer,thecomputerwillnotstart,butonlydisplaysanerrormessage
andemitsaudiblebeeps.

computer.InsteadyouwillfindanindicatorpointingtothelocationoftheFCC

cardinstalledinthewirelessLANcardslot,andtheFCCIDisvisiblepriorto

Thetotalradiatedenergyfromtheantennasconnectedtooneofthewireless
LANcardsconformstotheFCClimitoftheSAR(SpecificAbsorptionRate)
requirementregarding47CFRPart2section1093,whenthecomputerwastested
inconventionalnotebookcomputerorientation.

EachdevicehasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassB
digitaldevicepursuanttoFCCPart15SubpartB.Referto“Electronicemission

WhenyouuseawirelessLANcardinthe802.11a/ntransmissionmode,note
thathighpowerradarsareallocatedasprimaryusersofthe5250to5350MHz
and5650to5850MHzbands.Theseradarstationscancauseinterferencewith
and/ordamagethisdevice.

III.SimultaneoususeofRFtransmitters
MakesureofthefollowingconditionswhenyouuseanyotherexternalRFoption

1.WhenyouuseanyotherRFoptiondevice,youarerequestedtoconfirm
thatthedeviceconformstotheRFSafetyrequirementandisapprovedto
useforyourcomputer.
2.YoumustfollowtheRFSafetyinstructionsoftheRFoptiondevicethatare
includedintheusermanualoftheRFoptiondevice.
3.IftheRFoptiondeviceisprohibitedtouseinconjunctionwithanother
transmitters,youmustturnoffallotherwirelessfeaturesinyourcomputer.
