Please note the following instructions when using the appliance:

7Never use the appliance if it, the cutting foils or the blade blocks are visibly damaged.

POWER SUPPLY----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rechargeable battery operation

When operating the appliance with the built-in nickel metal hydride battery, only use the power unit supplied for charging.

The power unit has an automatic 100 - 240 V~, 50/60 Hz transformer which works anywhere in the world. This allows it to adjust to all international AC voltages.

1 Press the button H to switch o the appliance.

2Plug the power cord into the appliance socket J and the power supply unit into the wall socket.

ÐDuring the charging process, the indicator I lights up red.

ÐWhen the appliance is fully charged, the indicator I lights up green.

3Pull the power cord out of the the appliance socket J and the power supply unit out of the wall socket.

Notes

7Charge up the batteries completely (about 12 hours) before you Þrst use them or if you have not used them for a long time.

7After each further use, charging time is approx. 7 hours.

7The ambient temperature should be between 5 ¡C and 40 ¡C.

7If you switch on the appliance while it is charging, charging will be interrupted.

7When fully charged, the appliance works for around 60 minutes. It is not advisable to charge the batteries after each use. Generally, you should only charge the batteries when they are completely discharged. This increases their service life. Do not charge them every day.

USE --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shaving

1Remove the plastic protective cap A .

Caution

7The foils and blade blocks may not be damaged. Replace any damaged parts before shaving.

2 Press the button H to switch on the appliance.

3Shave with slow, gentle movements against the direction of beard growth. Hold the appliance at a 90¡ angle to your skin. Make sure both foils touch the skin.

Caution

7Do not press too hard as you may damage the foils.

4After use, switch o the appliance with the switch H and put the plastic cap back on.

Trimming

Use the extended trimmer for longer hair on your face and neck, but also on the beard, moustache or sideburns.

1 Press the button H to switch on the appliance.

2 Push up the trimmer C until it latches in.

3 After use, push the trimmer C back down.

Useful tips

7Always pull the skin taut when shaving di cult areas such as your lower jaw.

7Always cut against the natural direction of beard growth.

7In the case of thick or copious beard growth which cannot be removed by just one shave, do one quick shave and then a more thorough second one.

CLEANING AND CARE ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

General information

The device must be cleaned regularly so that you can continue to enjoy its top performance and optimum results. Clean the housing with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use any cleaning agents.

Cleaning with water

1 Press the H button to switch o the device.

Caution

7The appliance must be disconnected from the power unit.

2To remove the foil frame, press on one of the side catches with your thumb D to lift up this side of the foil frame.

Then press the second catch on the other side and lift up the foil frame.

3Rinse out the foil frame B under running water.

4To remove all hairs, hold the blade blocks E under running water and switch on the appliance.

5Gently shake out the remaining moisture and then dry o the device with a clean cloth.

6Replace the foil frame B and let it latch into place.
