The 4000/5000 Series RF Remote is for use with the following Garmin chartplotters:

The remote is used to control the 4000/5000 screens. It can be used up to 10 meters (32 feet) from the chartplotter and does not need to be pointed directly at your chartplotter.
The remote operates on 2 AAA batteries (not included). To replace the batteries, use a small Phillips screwdriver to open the access cover on the rear panel. Use alkaline batteries for best results.
