Notes on the documentation

and automation engineering who are familiar with the applicable national

followed when installing and commissioning these components.

Basic safety measures
The wall mounting frame may only be used in conjunction with the

designated Beckhoff Control Panel.
Before installing and removing the Control Panel, all system

components must be switched off, and the Control Panel must be
uncoupled from the system.
Disconnect the device by unplugging the connectors on the Control Panel
side.
System components that have been switched off must be secured
against being switched on again.
Operator's obligation to exercise diligence
Only qualified personnel may install the Control Panel in the wall

The operator must ensure that only appropriately trained electricians deal
with installation and wiring of the Control Panel.
After installation check the Control Panel for secure fastening in the
frame.
Ensure that inadvertent detachment of the Control Panel from the wall
mounting frame is prevented.

Installation instructions
The C9900 wall mounting frame is designed for Beckhoff Control Panels.
Appropriate use
For possible frame and panel combinations please refer to section Frame
sizes and descriptions.
The stainless steel mounting frame can be flush-mounted in a solid wall or
screw-mounted in a dry wall.

The following frames are available for the different panel sizes:
• C9900-M298 - panel mounting frame for CP6608
• C9900-M311 - panel mounting frame for CP6609/CP6909
• C9900-M313 - panel mounting frame for CP6601/CP6901
• C9900-M314 - panel mounting frame for CP6602/CP6902
• C9900-M316 - panel mounting frame for CP6603/CP6903

Mounting

Ensure that the wall mounting frame is oriented correctly. The preassembled fastening magnets must be positioned at the top of the frame
(see image below).

Attaching the brackets to the Control Panel
In order to be able to fasten the Control Panel in the wall mounting frame,
the fastening bracket and the mounting bracket first have to be attached to
the Panel. Proceed as follows:

Remove the clamping lever
located at the top in the center
of the Control Panel using a
2.5 mm Alleen key. For a
CP6608 Panel remove the top
left or right clamping lever.
Attach the fastening bracket in
place of the clamping lever
using the M4 x 5 mm screw
provided as shown.

When removing the clamping levers prevent the Control Panel from
disintegrating while the bolts are removed.
Then remove the three lower
clamping levers (two levers
for CP6608).
Attach the mounting bracket
in place of the clamping lever
using the remaining
M4 x 5 mm bolts as shown.

Inserting the Control Panel
Once the wall mounting frame is installed in the wall and the brackets are
attached to the Control Panel, the Control Panel can be inserted in the

back. Push the fastening
bracket down slightly, so that
it can engage below the upper
edge of the mounting frame.
The Control Panel is now
secure and cannot detach
itself from the frame.
Now move the Control Panel
into its final position. The
Panel is now held securely in
position through the preassembled fastening
magnets.
Finally check the Control
Panel for secure fastening in
the frame.
Dismounting the Control Panel
Dismounting in reverse
order

Dismounting the Control Panels occurs in reverse order:
1. Grasp carefully behind the upper edge of the Panel in order to
solve the chassis of the fastening magnets.
2. Swivel out the Panel so far as the fastening bracket allows.
3. Push down the fastening bracket a bit in order to swivel out the
Panel completely.
4. Disconnect all connections to the Panel.
5. Take out the Control Panel from the wall mounting frame carefully
and put it down on a clean, soft base.
