1) Equipped with a larger fan and a vertical duct structure, The ZM-RF1 provides optimal cooling
performance by supplying sufficient airflow to the Reserator’s fins.
2) Lightweight and durable, and fine external appearance achieved with the use of its
transparent and strong plastic material.
3) Excellent cooling performance and tuning effects achieved in Silent Mode with the use of a
140mm LED fan.
4) Adjustable fan speed controller (FAN MATE 2) included for noise control and fan speed
adjustment.

1. Features
1) This product cannot be used by itself and must be used with Zalman’s RESERATOR 1 or
RESERATOR 1 Plus.
2) Do not place in dusty or humid conditions, under direct sunlight, or near a heat source such
as a room heater.
3) Do not drop or exert excessive force on the product.
4) Do not place paper or other objects on top of the product. They may cause product damage.
5) Do not let coins or other objects enter the product.
6) Familiarize yourself with this manual.
7) Please check that the motherboard's fan output specifications are compatible with the fan’s
power requirements.

4. Installation
1) Duct Assembly Installation
- While holding the Duct Assembly with both hands, align the Duct Assembly's Insert Holes with
the Reserator's Round Fins, and mount the Duct Assembly over the Reserator.
note 1) The 4 Round Fins must be inserted into the 4 Insert Holes simultaneously.
note 2) If mounting cannot be done smoothly,try rotating the Duct Assembly 90 degrees at a
time while mounting.
note 3) Make sure that the fan cable does not get stuck between the Duct Assembly and
the Reserator fins.
note 4) Install slowly in order to prevent product damage.
2) Fan Cable Fixation
- Fix the fan cable into place with cable fixing clips as shown
in the diagram.
note 1) The Clip should be inserted into the groove on the
left side of the Round Fins. Place the cable on the
left side of the Round Fin and gently push in the Clip.
note 2) The 3 enclosed Clips are meant for tidying the fan’s
cable. The Clips must be attached to the top, middle,
and bottom sections of the Reserator.
3) FAN MATE 2 Connection and Use
- Connect the 3 pin connector of FAN MATE 2 with the
3 pin CPU Fan connector of the motherboard.
- Connect the 3 pin connector of FAN MATE 2 with the
3 pin connector of the fan.
- When the Fan Speed Control Knob on FAN MATE 2 is fully
turned in the counter-clockwise direction, the fan operates
in Silent Mode. If fully turned in the clockwise direction,
it operates in Normal Mode. You can set Control Knob
your desired fan speed by adjusting the knob
