5. Operating Instructions
1. Select the desired scale with the operating switch and select the desired range
(“lux”, “lux x 10” or “lux x 100”).
1. Hold the photodetector at a horizontal angle to the light source to be
measured.
2. Read the nominal measured value from the LCD display.
3. Overrange indication: if the instrument only display one “1” in the LCD, the
input signal is too strong for the selected range.
4. Replace the photo detector when the measurement is completed.
5. The spectral sensitivity of this device is very similar to the ICE curve
(International Commission on Illumination) depicted below on page 2:

6. Battery Replacement
The battery should be replaced when “BAT” appears on the display. Remove the
screws at the back of the device, open the battery compartment, replace the old
battery (A23 battery or equivalent, 12V) and close the compartment again.
