Installation Requirements
Phillips screwdriver (for rack- or wall-mounting)
Standard-sized, 19" wide rack with a minimum of 1U height
available (for rack-mounting)

Console Port
Gigabit Passive Optical Network ports support up to 128 clients on each port.
Hot-swappable SFP+ ports support 1G or 10G connections.
10/100/1000 Ethernet port used for out-of-band management.
RJ45 serial console port for Command Line Interface (CLI) management. Use an RJ45-to-DB9, serial console cable, also
known as a rollover cable, to connect the
Console port to your computer. (If your computer does not have a DB9 port, then you will also need a DB9 adapter.)

Button
Interface Description
There are two methods to reset the U FiberOLT to factory defaults:
Runtime reset (recommended) The
U FiberOLT should be running after bootup is complete. Press and hold
the Reset button for about 10seconds until the MGMT LED starts flashing and
then becomes solidly lit. After a few seconds, the LED will turn off, and the U FiberOLT will automatically reboot.

Power-on reset Disconnect the Power
Cord from the U FiberOLT. Press
and hold the Reset button while connecting the Power Cord to the
U FiberOLT. Keep holding the button
until the MGMT LED starts flashing and then stops flashing after a few
seconds.
Note: To press the Reset button,
insert a straightened paper
clip (or similar object) into the hole shown above. Do not use an object that can break and become lodged in the hole.

Hardware Installation
The U FiberOLT can be placed on a horizontal surface, mounted on a wall, or mounted in a rack.
1. Attach the Mounting Brackets to the U FiberOLT using the
eight Bracket Screws.
2. Attach the U FiberOLT to the rack using the four Mounting
Screws. (If the rack has square slots, then use the Cage Nuts with the Mounting Screws.)
