Precautions

On safety

Should any solid object or liquid fall into
the cabinet, unplug the receiver and have it
checked by qualified personnel before
operating it any further.

On power sources

• Before operating the receiver, check that
the operating voltage is identical with
your local power supply.
The operating voltage is indicated on the
nameplate on the back of the receiver.

• The unit is not disconnected from the AC
power source (mains) as long as it is
connected to the wall outlet, even if the
unit itself has been turned off.

• If you are not going to use the receiver for
a long time, be sure to disconnect the
receiver from the wall outlet. To
disconnect the AC power cord (mains
lead), grasp the plug itself; never pull the
cord.

• The AC power cord (mains lead) must be
changed only at a qualified service shop.

On heat buildup

Although the receiver heats up during
operation, this is not a malfunction. If you
continuously use this receiver at a large
volume, the cabinet temperature of the top,
side and bottom rises considerably. To
avoid burning yourself, do not touch the
cabinet.

On placement

• Place the receiver in a location with
adequate ventilation to prevent heat
buildup and prolong the life of the
receiver.

• Do not place the receiver near heat
sources, or in a place subject to direct
sunlight, excessive dust, or mechanical
shock.

• Do not place anything on top of the
cabinet that might block the ventilation
holes and cause malfunctions.

• Do not place the receiver near equipment
such as a TV, VCR, or tape deck. (If the
receiver is being used in combination
with a TV, VCR, or tape deck, and is
placed too close to that equipment, noise
may result, and picture quality may
suffer. This is especially likely when
using an indoor antenna (aerial).
Therefore, we recommend using an
outdoor antenna (aerial).)

• Use caution when placing the receiver on
surfaces that have been specially treated
(with wax, oil, polish, etc.) as staining or
discoloration of the surface may result.

On operation

Before connecting other equipment, be sure
to turn off and unplug the receiver.

On cleaning

Clean the cabinet, panel, and controls with
a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild
detergent solution. Do not use any type of
abrasive pad, scouring powder, or solvent,
such as alcohol or benzine.

On Bluetooth
communication

• Bluetooth devices should be used within
approximately 10 meters (unobstructed
distance) of each other. The effective
communication range may become
shorter under the following conditions.
– When a person, metal object, wall or

other obstruction is between the
devices with a Bluetooth connection

– Locations where a wireless LAN is

installed

– Around microwave ovens that are in

use

– Locations where other electromagnetic

waves occur

• Bluetooth devices and wireless LAN
(IEEE 802.11b/g) use the same frequency
band (2.4 GHz). When using your
Bluetooth device near a device with
wireless LAN capability, electromagnetic
interference may occur. This could result
in lower data transfer rates, noise, or
inability to connect. If this happens, try
the following remedies:
– Use this receiver at least 10 meters

away from the wireless LAN device.

– Turn off the power to the wireless LAN

equipment when using your Bluetooth
device within 10 meters.

– Install this receiver and Bluetooth

device as closer to each other as
possible.

• The radio waves broadcast by this
receiver may interfere with the operation
of some medical devices. Since this
interference may result in malfunction,
always turn off the power on this receiver
and Bluetooth device in the following
locations:
– In hospitals, on trains, in airplanes, at

gas stations, and any place where
flammable gasses may be present

– Near automatic doors or fire alarms

• This receiver supports security functions
that comply with the Bluetooth
specification to ensure secure connection
during communication using Bluetooth
technology. However, this security may
be insufficient depending on the setting
contents and other factors, so always be
careful when performing communication
using Bluetooth technology.

• Sony cannot be held liable in any way for
damages or other loss resulting from
information leaks during communication
using Bluetooth technology.

• Bluetooth communication is not
necessarily guaranteed with all Bluetooth
devices that have the same profile as this
receiver.

• Bluetooth devices connected with this
receiver must comply with the Bluetooth
specification prescribed by the Bluetooth
SIG, Inc., and must be certified to
comply. However, even when a device
complies with the Bluetooth
specification, there may be cases where
the characteristics or specifications of the
Bluetooth device make it impossible to
connect, or may result in different control
methods, display or operation.

• Noise may occur or the audio may cut off
depending on the Bluetooth device
connected with this receiver, the
communications environment, or
surrounding conditions.

concerning your receiver, please consult
your nearest Sony dealer.

Sécurité

Sources d’alimentation

Accumulation de chaleur

L’ampli-tuner chauffe pendant le
fonctionnement, mais ceci n’est pas une
anomalie. Si vous utilisez constamment
l’ampli-tuner à un volume élevé, la
température sur le sommet, les côtés et le
fond du boîtier augmente
considérablement. Pour ne pas risquer de
vous brûler, ne touchez pas le boîtier.

Lieu d’installation

• Placez l’ampli-tuner dans un endroit bien
aéré pour éviter toute accumulation de
chaleur et prolonger ainsi la durée de vie
de l’appareil.

• Ne placez pas l’ampli-tuner près d’une
source de chaleur ou dans un endroit
exposé aux rayons du soleil, à une
poussière excessive ou à des chocs
mécaniques.

• Ne placez rien au-dessus du boîtier qui
puisse obstruer les orifices d’aération et
provoquer des anomalies.

• Ne placez pas l’ampli-tuner près
d’appareils tels qu’un téléviseur, un
magnétoscope ou une platine cassette.
(Lorsque vous utilisez l’ampli-tuner avec
un téléviseur, un magnétoscope ou une
platine cassette, si vous le placez trop
près de ces appareils, il pourra en résulter

Acumulación de calor

Aunque el receptor se caliente durante el

anomalía. Si utiliza este receptor de forma
continuada con un volumen alto, la
temperatura aumentará considerablemente

Vorsichtsmaßnahmen

Info zur Sicherheit

Sollte ein Fremdkörper oder Flüssigkeit in
das Gehäuse gelangen, ziehen Sie den
Netzstecker und lassen Sie den Receiver
von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal
überprüfen, bevor Sie ihn weiter
verwenden.

Info zu Stromquellen

• Achten Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme des
Receivers darauf, dass die
Betriebsspannung der lokalen
Stromversorgung entspricht.
Die Betriebsspannung ist auf dem Schild
an der Rückseite des Receivers
angegeben.

• Das Gerät bleibt auch in ausgeschaltetem
Zustand mit dem Stromnetz verbunden,
solange das Netzkabel mit der
Netzsteckdose verbunden ist.

• Sollte der Receiver über längere Zeit
nicht benutzt werden, trennen Sie ihn
unbedingt von der Netzsteckdose. Ziehen
Sie zum Trennen des Netzkabels immer

Info zur Wärmeentwicklung

Der Receiver erwärmt sich während des
Betriebs, was jedoch kein Anzeichen für
eine Funktionsstörung ist. Wenn Sie den
Receiver andauernd bei hoher Lautstärke
verwenden, steigt die Gehäusetemperatur
an der Ober- und Unterseite und an den
Seiten stark an. Um Verbrennungen
vorzubeugen, vermeiden Sie eine
Berührung des Gehäuses.

Info zur Aufstellung

• Stellen Sie den Receiver an einem
ausreichend belüfteten Ort auf, um einen
Wärmestau zu vermeiden und die
Lebensdauer des Receivers zu
verlängern.

• Stellen Sie den Receiver nicht in der
Nähe von Wärmequellen oder an einem
Ort auf, der direktem Sonnenlicht,
starkem Staubniederschlag oder
Erschütterungen ausgesetzt ist.

• Stellen Sie keine Gegenstände auf das
Gehäuse, welche die Lüftungsöffnungen
blockieren und Funktionsstörungen
verursachen könnten.

• Stellen Sie den Receiver nicht in der
Nähe eines Fernsehgeräts,
Videorecorders oder Kassettendecks auf.
(Wenn der Receiver in Verbindung mit
einem Fernsehgerät, Videorecorder oder
Kassettendeck verwendet und zu nahe an
dem entsprechenden Gerät aufgestellt
wird, könnten Störgeräusche verursacht
und die Bildqualität beeinträchtigt
werden. Diese Probleme treten besonders
bei der Verwendung einer
Zimmerantenne auf. Es empfiehlt sich
daher, eine Außenantenne
anzuschließen.)

• Stellen Sie den Receiver möglichst nicht
auf Oberflächen, die speziell (mit Wachs,
Öl, Politur usw.) behandelt wurden, da
dies Fleckenbildung oder Verfärbung zur
Folge haben könnte.

Voorzorgsmaatregelen

Veiligheid

Als een voorwerp of vloeistof in de
behuizing terechtkomt, moet u de receiver
loskoppelen en laten nakijken door
bevoegde servicetechnici voordat u deze
weer gebruikt.

Stroombronnen

• Voordat u de receiver gebruikt, moet u
controleren of de werkspanning
overeenkomt met de plaatselijke
netvoeding.
De werkspanning vindt u op het
naamplaatje aan de achterkant van de
receiver.

• Het apparaat blijft onder netspanning
staan als de stekker in het stopcontact zit,
zelfs als het apparaat zelf is
uitgeschakeld.

• Als u de receiver langere tijd niet wilt
gebruiken, moet u de stekker van de
receiver uit het stopcontact halen. Trek
altijd aan de stekker en nooit aan het
netsnoer als u het netsnoer uit het
stopcontact haalt.

• Het netsnoer mag alleen door bevoegde
servicetechnici worden vervangen.

Warm worden

De receiver kan tijdens gebruik warm
worden. Dit duidt niet op een storing. Als u
deze receiver doorlopend met hoog volume
gebruikt, kunnen de boven-, zij- en
onderpanelen van de behuizing na verloop
van tijd heet worden. Raak de behuizing
niet aan. U kunt zichzelf branden.

Plaatsing

• Zet de receiver op een goed geventileerde
plaats om te voorkomen dat deze te warm
wordt. De levensduur van de receiver
wordt hierdoor verlengd.

• Plaats de receiver niet in de buurt van
warmtebronnen of op een plaats waar
deze is blootgesteld aan direct zonlicht,
overmatige hoeveelheden stof of
mechanische schokken.

• Plaats geen voorwerpen boven op de
behuizing waardoor de
ventilatieopeningen worden afgesloten
en storingen kunnen worden veroorzaakt.

• Plaats de receiver niet in de buurt van
apparatuur, zoals een televisie,
videorecorder of cassettedeck. (Als de
receiver wordt gebruikt in combinatie
met een televisie, videorecorder of
cassettedeck en te dicht bij dergelijke
apparatuur staat, kan er ruis ontstaan en
kan de beeldkwaliteit verslechteren. De
kans hierop is groot bij een
binnenantenne. Daarom kunt u het beste
een buitenantenne gebruiken.)

• Ga voorzichtig te werk als u de receiver
op speciaal behandelde oppervlakken
(met was of olie behandeld, gepolijst,
enz.) plaatst, anders kunnen er vlekken of
verkleuringen optreden.

Werking

Schakel de receiver uit en trek de stekker
uit het stopcontact voordat u andere
apparatuur aansluit.

Reiniging

Reinig de behuizing, het voorpaneel en de
bedieningselementen met een zachte doek
die licht is bevochtigd met een mild
zeepsopje. Gebruik geen schuursponsje,
schuurpoeder of oplosmiddelen, zoals
alcohol of benzine.

Meer over Bluetooth-
communicatie

• Bluetooth-apparaten moeten binnen
ongeveer 10 meter van elkaar worden
geplaatst (zonder tussenliggende
obstakels). Het effectieve
communicatiebereik wordt mogelijk
korter onder de volgende
omstandigheden.

– Wanneer er een persoon, metalen

voorwerp, muur of ander obstakel
tussen de apparaten met een Bluetooth-
verbinding is

– Op plaatsen met draadloos LAN is

geïnstalleerd

– In de buurt van een werkende

magnetron

– Op plaatsen met elektromagnetische

golven

• Bluetooth-apparaten en draadloos LAN
(IEEE 802.11b/g) gebruiken dezelfde
frequentieband (2,4 GHz). Bij gebruik
van uw Bluetooth-apparaat in de buurt
van een apparaat met draadloos LAN, kan
er elektromagnetische interferentie zijn.
Dit kan lagere data-overdrachtsnelheden,
ruis of onmogelijkheid tot verbinden
veroorzaken. Probeer in dat geval het
volgende:
– Gebruik deze receiver op ten minste 10

meter afstand van draadloze LAN­apparatuur.

– Schakel de stroom van het draadloze

LAN-apparaat uit wanneer u uw
Bluetooth-apparaat binnen 10 meter
gebruikt.

– Installeer deze receiver en het

Bluetooth-apparaat zo dicht als
mogelijk bij elkaar.

• De radiogolven van deze receiver kunnen
de werking van bepaalde medische
apparaten storen. Interferentie kan een
onjuiste werking veroorzaken en u moet
derhalve altijd de stroom van deze
receiver en het Bluetooth-apparaat
uitschakelen op de volgende plaatsen:
– In ziekenhuizen, treinen, vliegtuigen,

bij benzinestations en andere plaatsen
waar ontvlambaar gas aanwezig kan
zijn

– In de buurt van automatische deuren en

brandalarmen

Precauzioni

Sicurezza

Se oggetti solidi o sostanze liquide
penetrano nel rivestimento, scollegare il
ricevitore e farlo controllare da personale
qualificato prima di utilizzarlo di nuovo.

Fonti di alimentazione

• Prima di utilizzare il ricevitore, accertarsi
che la tensione operativa sia identica a
quella della fonte di alimentazione locale.
La tensione operativa è riportata sulla
targhetta posta nella parte posteriore del
ricevitore.

• L’apparecchio non è scollegato dalla
fonte di alimentazione CA fintanto che
rimane collegato alla presa di rete, anche
se l’apparecchio stesso è stato spento.

• Se si prevede di non utilizzare il
ricevitore per un periodo di tempo
prolungato, accertarsi di scollegarlo dalla
presa di rete. Per scollegare il cavo di
alimentazione CA, afferrare la spina e
mai il cavo stesso.

• Il cavo di alimentazione CA deve essere
sostituito esclusivamente presso un
centro di assistenza qualificato.

Calore

Sebbene durante l’uso il ricevitore si scaldi,
non si tratta di un problema di
funzionamento. Se il ricevitore viene
utilizzato in modo continuo a livelli di
volume elevati, la temperatura del
rivestimento nelle parti superiore, laterale e
inferiore aumenta considerevolmente. Per
evitare scottature, non toccare il
rivestimento.

Collocazione

• Posizionare il ricevitore in un luogo
adeguatamente ventilato, onde evitare il
surriscaldamento del ricevitore e
prolungarne così la vita utile.

• Non collocare il ricevitore in prossimità
di fonti di calore o in luoghi soggetti a
luce solare diretta, polvere eccessiva o
urti meccanici.

• Non appoggiare sull’apparecchio oggetti
che potrebbero bloccare le prese di
ventilazione, causando problemi di
funzionamento.

• Non collocare il ricevitore in prossimità
di apparecchi quali televisori,
videoregistratori o piastre a cassette. (Se
il ricevitore viene utilizzato in
combinazione con un televisore, un
videoregistratore o una piastra a cassette
e si trova eccessivamente vicino a tale
apparecchio, si potrebbero verificare dei
disturbi che danneggerebbero la qualità
delle immagini. Questa eventualità è
particolarmente concreta nel caso venga
utilizzata un’antenna per interni.
Pertanto, si consiglia di utilizzare
un’antenna per esterni.)

• Prestare attenzione se il ricevitore viene
collocato su superfici trattate con
sostanze quali cera, olio, lucido, ecc., in
quanto esse potrebbero macchiarsi o
perdere colore.

Funzionamento

Prima di collegare altri apparecchi,
accertarsi di spegnere e scollegare il
ricevitore.

Pulizia

Pulire il rivestimento, il pannello e i
comandi con un panno morbido
leggermente inumidito con una soluzione
detergente neutra. Non utilizzare alcun tipo
di spugnette o polveri abrasive, né solventi
quali alcol o benzina.

Note sulla comunicazione

Bluetooth

• I dispositivi Bluetooth vanno utilizzati in
un raggio di circa 10 metri (distanza
senza ostacoli) l’uno dall’altro. La
portata effettiva di comunicazione
potrebbe ridursi nelle condizioni
seguenti.
– Quando tra i dispositivi Bluetooth è

frapposta una persona, un corpo
metallico, una parete o un altro
ostacolo.

– In ubicazioni in cui sia installata una

rete LAN wireless

– In prossimità di forni a microonde

accesi

– In ubicazioni in cui siano presenti altre

onde elettromagnetiche

• I dispositivi Bluetooth e le reti LAN
wireless (IEEE 802.11b/g) utilizzano la
stessa banda di frequenza (2,4 GHz).
Quando si utilizza il proprio dispositivo
Bluetooth in prossimità di un dispositivo
dotato di funzionalità LAN wireless,
potrebbero verificarsi interferenze
elettromagnetiche. Questo fenomeno
potrebbe provocare la riduzione della
velocità di trasferimento dei dati, disturbi
o l’impossibilità di effettuare una
connessione. Qualora si verifichi questa
eventualità, provare le azioni correttive
seguenti:
– Usare il ricevitore ad almeno 10 metri

dal dispositivo LAN wireless.

– Spegnere l’apparecchio LAN wireless

quando si utilizza il proprio dispositivo
Bluetooth entro una distanza di 10
metri.

– Avvicinare quanto più possibile fra

loro il ricevitore e il dispositivo
Bluetooth.

• Le onde radio trasmesse da questo
sistema possono interferire con il
funzionamento di alcuni dispositivi
medici. Poiché tale interferenza può
provocare un malfunzionamento,
spegnere sempre il ricevitore e il
dispositivo Bluetooth in questi tipi di
luogo:
– Negli ospedali, sui treni, negli aerei,

presso i distributori di benzina e in
qualsiasi luogo in cui possano essere
presenti gas infiammabili

– In prossimità di porte automatiche o

allarmi antincendio

• Questo ricevitore è compatibile con le
funzioni di sicurezza conformi alla
specifica Bluetooth, rendendo in tal modo
sicure le connessioni. Tuttavia, tale
sicurezza potrebbe risultare insufficiente,
a seconda dell’impostazione dei
contenuti e di altri fattori; pertanto, fare
sempre attenzione quando si effettuano
