Sony introduces LUMA
Professional LCD Monitors
Sony’s new LUMA™monitors are designed for production
applications where normal technical viewing is required,
but where a CRT monitor is not practical. The new multiformat, widescreen monitors include the LMD-170WS
and LMD-230WS, 17” and 23” Displays (viewable area,
measured diagonally) which feature a unique two-piece
design. The separate multi-format engine houses the
video processing, input connections, option slots,
controls and power supply. The LCD panel and tally light
are mounted in the display cabinet, providing a lightweight design that allows greater installation flexibility
than a CRT monitor.
These professional LCD monitors are optimized to handle
moving video and can accommodate a wide variety of
standard and high-definition analog and digital signals.
