Safety instructions

► To avoid risks, arrange for defective plugs and/or
power cables to be replaced at once by qualifi ed
technicians or our Customer Service Department.
► Protect the power cable against contact with
heated appliance parts. NEVER use the appliance
adjacent to open fl ames, a hotplate or a heated
oven.
► Do not expose the appliance to rain and never
use it in a humid or wet environment. Ensure that
the power cable never becomes wet or moist
during operation.
► Before use, check the appliance for visible external
damage. Do not use an appliance that has been
damaged or dropped.

Assembly and setting up

1) Take all the parts out of the box and remove
the packaging material and any protective
wrapping.
2) Clean all of the components as described in
the section "Cleaning and care". Ensure that
all parts are completely dry.
3) Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, clean
and level surface. Ensure that you do not place
the appliance directly next to a wall or a
cupboard.
Each person should have unimpaired access to
one of the pans 5.
4) Place the griddle 1 on the base unit so that
the griddle 1 is fi rmly in place.
5) Push the pans 5 into the appliance.
6) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
Before fi rst use
1) Set the temperature control 2 to MAX and
allow the appliance to heat up for 5 minutes.
2) After 5 minutes, turn the temperature control 2
back to level 0.
3) Then disconnect the plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
NOTE
► The fi rst time the appliance heats up, a small
amount of smok

is completely normal and is not dangerous.
Ensure suffi cient ventilation; for example,
open a window.
4) Wipe the griddle 1 with a moist cloth.
5) Clean the pans 5 and the wooden spatula 6
as described in the section "Cleaning and
care".
6) Ensure that all parts are completely dry before
operating the appliance.

1) Lightly oil the pans 5 on the inside and the
griddle 1 on the top.
2) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
3) Set the temperature control 2 to MAX. The
indicator lamp 3 illuminates. When the set
temperature has been reached, the temperature indicator lamp 3 goes out.
TIPS
► The indicator lamp 3 illuminates while the
appliance is heating up to the set temper
level. When the temperature level has been
reached, the indicator lamp 3 goes out.
However, this can always illuminate and go
out again. This indicates that the set temperature has briefl y fallen and the appliance is
heating itself back up.
► The ideal temperature will depend on the

4) Fill the pans 5 with the desired ingredients.

5) Place the pans 5 into the appliance. The slight
recesses in the appliance help them to sit more
fi rmly.
6) Remove the pans 5 from the appliance as
soon as the contents are cooked.

The warranty provided for this appliance is 3
years from the date of purchase. This appliance
has been manufactured with care and inspected
meticulously prior to delivery. Please retain your
receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a
warranty claim, please contact your Customer
Service by telephone. This is the only way to
guarantee free return of your goods.
The warranty covers only claims for material and
manufacturing defects, not for transport damage,
wearing parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g. switches or batteries. This appliance is
intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty is deemed void if this product has
been subjected to improper or inappropriate handling, abuse or modifi cations that were not carried
out by one of our authorised service centres.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way
by this warranty.
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs
made under the warranty. This also applies to
replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects
present at the time of purchase must be reported
immediately after unpacking, or no later than two
days after the date of purchase. Repairs made
