ing instructions are a part of this product. They contain important information in regard to safety, use and disposal. These headphones are a consumer electronics device. They are intended for private use for listening to audio material. In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding the handling of the device.

These headphones comply with the prescribed safety regulations. Incorrect usage can lead to personal injury and property damage.

Risk of hearing damage

Risks as a result of extremely high sound levels!

Loud music can lead to hearing damage.

► Avoid extreme sound levels, especially over

long periods of time, when you are using these headphones.

Risk of accidents

WARNING

Danger through impaired perception!

► Acoustical warning and indication signals and environmental

noises can sound diﬀ erent when you are wearing these headphones. Make yourself aware of how these signals deviate in their sound so that you can recognise the signals in the appropriate situations.

► Do not use the headphones while driving a vehicle, riding

a bicycle, operating machinery or in any other situation in which impaired perception of ambient noise could put you or other people in danger. Please also observe the statutory provisions and regulations of the country in which you are using the headphones.

Basic Safety Instructions

For safe handling of the headphones pay heed to the following safety information:

■ Before use, check the headphones for visible external damage.

Do not operate headphones that are damaged or have been dropped.

■ Protect the cable against damage, for example caused by sharp

edges, hot areas, clamping or crushing.

■ Damaged cables or connections should be replaced by authorised

qualiﬁ ed personnel or by the Customer Service department.

■ Individuals who, due to their physical, intellectual or motor

abilities, are incapable of operating the headphones safely must only use them under the supervision or direction of a responsible person.

■ Permit children to use the headphones only under supervision.

■ Repairs to the headphones may only be carried out by authorised

specialist personnel or by the Customer Service department. Incompetent repairs may result in risks for the user. In addition, warranty claims become void.

■ Repairs to the headphones during the warranty period may only

be carried out by a Customer Service department authorised by the manufacturer, otherwise no additional warranty claims can be considered for subsequent damages.

■ Do not carry out any unauthorised reconstruction or customisation

to the headphones.

■ Protect the headphones from moisture and penetration by liquids.

■ Do not use the headphones in the vicinity of open ﬂ ames.

Commissioning

WARNING

► The packaging material is not a toy. Keep plastic sheeting,

bags and all other packaging material away from children. There is a risk of suﬀ ocation.

► If the delivery is not complete, or is damaged due to defective

packaging or through transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see chapter Service).

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the headphones from transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit

saves on raw material and reduces generated waste. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed in compliance with the regionally established regulations.

Handling and operation

Putting the headphones on

♦ When putting the headphones on, please note the side markings

“R” (right) and “L” (left) on the inside of the head band 2.

♦ Arrange the adjustable headband 2 so that the headphones

sit comfortably on your head and the ear pieces + 3 cover the ears.

Using the headphones

You can connect the headphones to a variety of playback devices (e.g. CD, DVD, MP3 players, hi-ﬁ systems, PCs and laptops).

To listen to music, proceed as follows:

♦ Insert the 3.5 mm jack plug 5 into the socket on the playback

device.

♦ Switch the playback device on and adjust the sound volume to

minimum.

♦ Place the headphones on your head as described in the section

"Putting the headphones on".

♦ Then adjust the sound volume on the playback device to the

desired level.

Connecting the second headphones

The headphones are provided with a 3.5 mm jack socket on the

right-hand earpiece. You can connect a second pair of headphones there to share your listening experience with friends.

♦ If you wish to use a second pair of headphones, insert the jack

plug from the second headphones into the 3.5 mm jack socket on the right-hand earpiece 3.

TAKE NOTE

Never connect more than one set of additional headphones

►

to the 3.5 mm jack 4 as the low impedance of the headphones could damage the playback device.

► Never connect a second playback device to the 3.5 mm

jack 4 as the playback device or the headphones could be damaged.

Storage of the headphones

These headphones are equipped with rotating and tilting ear pieces, so as to be able to fold them together and save storage space.

To fold the headphones together, proceed as follows:

♦ Rotate the two earpieces + 3 into the head-

band 2. You now save space when storing the headphones.

Cleaning

TAKE NOTE

Do not allow any liquids to penetrate inside the earclip head-

phones. This could cause irreparable damage to them.

► Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, as these

can damage the appliance surfaces.

■ Wipe the outer surfaces of the headphones with a slightly damp

cloth.

Storage

Store the headphones in a dry environment.

Troubleshooting

Malfunction causes and remedies

The following table will help with localizing and remedying minor malfunctions:

Do not dispose of the device in your normal

domestic waste. This device is subject to the provisions of European Guidelines 2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the device through an approved disposal

centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

The warranty for these headphones is for 3 years from the date of

purchase. These headphones have been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please get in touch, by telephone, with our service department. Only in this way can a free despatch for your goods be guaranteed.

NOTICE

The warranty covers only claims for material and manufactur-

ing defects, not for transport damage, wear and tear or for damage to fragile components, e.g. switches or rechargeable batteries.

These headphones are intended exclusively for domestic use and not for commercial applications. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal modiﬁ cations not carried out by our authorized Service Centre. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period is not extended through repairs made under warranty. This applies also for replaced or repaired parts. Any damages or deﬁ ciencies found on purchase must be reported as soon as possible after unpacking, at the latest by two days after purchase. Repairs carried out after lapse of the warranty period are subject to charge.

Tapaturmavaara

Huomiokyvyn heikkenemisen aiheuttama vaara!

► Akustiset varoitus- ja ohjesignaalit sekä ympäristön äänet

voivat kuulostaa toisenlaisilta kuulokkeita käytettäessä. Varmista, että tiedät, kuinka näiden signaalien ääni muuttuu, jotta voit tunnistaa signaalit vastaavissa tilanteissa.

► Älä käytä kuulokkeita ajaessasi moottoriajoneuvoa tai pol-

kupyörää, käyttäessäsi koneita tai muissa tilanteissa, joissa ympäristön äänien heikentynyt kuulemiskyky voi aiheuttaa vaaraa itsellesi tai muille. Noudata tällöin myös kuulokkeiden käyttömaan lakisääteisiä määräyksiä ja säännöksiä.

Noudata seuraavia turvaohjeita varmistaaksesi kuulokkeiden turvallisen käytön:

■ Tarkasta kuulokkeet ennen käyttöä ulkoisesti näkyvien vaurioiden

varalta. Älä ota vaurioituneita tai pudonneita kuulokkeita käyttöön.

■ Suojaa johtoa vaurioilta, esim. teräviltä reunoilta, kuumilta pinnoilta,

kiinni tai puristuksiin jäämiseltä.

■ Jos johto tai liitännät ovat vaurioituneet, anna valtuutetun ammatti-

henkilöstön tai huoltopalvelun vaihtaa ne uusiin.

■ Henkilöt, jotka ruumiillisten, henkisten tai motoristen kykyjensä

vuoksi eivät kykene käyttämään kuulokkeita turvallisesti, saavat käyttää niitä ainoastaan vastuullisen henkilön valvonnassa tai opastuksessa.

■ Salli lapsille kuulokkeiden käyttö ainoastaan valvonnan alaisena.

■ Anna kuulokkeiden korjaukset ainoastaan valtuutetun ammattihen-

kilöstön tai huoltopalvelun suoritettavaksi. Asiattomat korjaukset voivat aiheuttaa vaaroja käyttäjälle. Lisäksi takuu raukeaa.

■ Kuulokkeiden korjauksen saa takuuaikana suorittaa ainoastaan

valmistajan valtuuttama huoltopalvelu, muuten takuu ei enää kata seuraavia vahinkoja.

■ Älä suorita kuulokkeisiin omatoimisia muutoksia.

■ Suojaa kuulokkeita kosteudelta ja nesteiden pääsyltä laitteeseen.

■ Älä käytä kuulokkeita avotulen läheisyydessä.

Käyttöönotto

VAROITUS

► Pakkausmateriaalit eivät ole leikkikaluja. Pidä muovit, pussit

ja kaikki muut pakkausmateriaalit poissa lasten ulottuvilta. Ne voivat aiheuttaa tukehtumisvaaran.

Toimituslaajuus ja kuljetustarkastus (katso kääntösivu)

Toimituslaajuus koostuu seuraavista osista:

Tarkasta, että toimitus on täydellinen, ja tarkasta se näkyvien

vaurioiden varalta.

► Jos toimitus on puutteellinen tai havaitaan puutteellisen

pakkauksen tai kuljetuksen aiheuttamia vahinkoja, käänny huollon palvelunumeron puoleen (katso luku Huolto).

Pakkauksen hävittäminen

Pakkaus suojaa kuulokkeita kuljetusvaurioilta. Pakkausmateriaalit on valittu ympäristöystävällisyys ja jätehuoltotekniset näkökohdat huomioiden ja siksi ne voidaan kierrättää.

Pakkauksen palauttaminen takaisin materiaalikiertoon

säästää raaka-aineita ja vähentää syntyviä jätteitä. Hävitä tarpeettomat pakkausmateriaalit paikallisten määräysten mukaisesti.

Käyttö ja toiminta

Kuulokkeiden asettaminen

♦ Huomioi kuulokkeita asettaessasi sangan 2 sisäpuolella olevat

puolimerkinnät ”R” (oikea) ja ”L” (vasen).

♦ Säädä säädettävä sanka 2 niin, että kuulokkeet ovat päässä

miellyttävästi ja korvakuvut + 3 peittävät korvat.

Kuulokkeiden käyttö

Voit liittää kuulokkeet useisiin toistolaitteisiin (esim. CD-, DVD-, MP3soittimet, HiFi-laitteistot, PC:t ja kannettavat tietokoneet).

Toimi seuraavasti kuunnellaksesi musiikkia:

♦ Liitä 3,5 mm:n jakkiliitin 5 toistolaitteen kuulokeliitäntäholkkiin. ♦ Kytke toistolaite päälle ja säädä äänenvoimakkuus minimiin. ♦ Aseta kuulokkeet päähän kohdassa "Kuulokkeiden

asettaminen" kuvatulla tavalla.

♦ Säädä haluttu äänenvoimakkuus toistolaitteesta.

Toisten kuulokkeiden liittäminen

Kuulokkeissa on 3,5 mm:n jakkiholkki oikeassa korvakuvussa. Siihen voidaan liittää toiset kuulokkeet ja näin voit jakaa kuunteluelämyksesi ystäviesi kanssa.

♦ Jos haluat käyttää toisia kuulokkeita, liitä toisten kuulokkeiden

jakkiliitin oikean korvakuvun

HUOMIO

Liitä maksimissaan yhdet lisäkuulokkeet 3,5 mm:n jakkiliitän-

►

tään 4, sillä muuten toistolaite voi vaurioitua kuulokkeiden alhaisen impedanssin vuoksi.

► Älä koskaan liitä 3,5 mm:n jakkiliitäntään 4 toista toistolai-

tetta, sillä toistolaite tai kuulokkeet voivat vaurioitua.

Kuulokkeiden säilyttäminen

Kuulokkeet on varustettu pyörivillä ja kääntyvillä korvakuvuilla, jotta ne voidaan taittaa kokoon ja säilyttää tilaasäästävästi.

Taita kuulokkeet kokoon seuraavasti:

♦ Käännä molemmat korvakuvut + 3 sangaan

sisään. Nyt kuulokkeet voidaan säilyttää tilaa

säästävästi.

Puhdistus

HUOMIO

Älä päästä nesteitä kuulokkeiden sisälle. Tämä saattaa

►

aiheuttaa laitteessa korvaamattomia vaurioita.

► Älä käytä aggressiivisia tai hankaavia puhdistusaineita,

koska ne voivat vahingoittaa laitteen pintaa.

Toistolaitteen äänenvoimakkuuden säädin on säädetty minimiinsä.

3,5 mm jakkipistoke ei ole kokonaan toistolaitteen holkissa.

Lisää äänenvoimakkuutta toistolaitteesta.

Liitä 3,5 mm jakkipis-

toke 5 kokonaan holkkiin.

Hävittäminen

Toistolaitteen stereobalanssin säädin on väärässä asennossa.

3,5 mm jakkipistoke ei ole täysin toistolaitteen holkissa.

Säädä se haluamaasi asentoon.

Älä hävitä laitetta tavallisen talousjätteen

mukana. Tämä laite on eurooppalaisen direktiivin 2012/19/EU alainen.

Anna laite hyväksytyn jätehuoltoyrityksen tai kunnal-

lisen jätelaitoksen hävitettäväksi. Noudata voimassa olevia määräyksiä. Epäselvissä tilanteissa ota yhteyttä paikalliseen jätehuoltoviranomaiseen.

Takuu

Kuulokkeiden takuu on 3 vuotta ostopäivästä. Kuulokkeet on valmistettu huolella ja tarkastettu perusteellisesti ennen toimitusta. Säilytä ostokuitti todisteeksi ostosta. Ota takuutapauksessa puhelimitse

yhteyttä lähimpään huoltopisteeseen. Vain näin tuotteesi maksuton lähettäminen huoltoon voidaan taata.

Takuu koskee ainoastaan materiaali- ja valmistusvirheitä, ei

kuitenkaan kuljetusvaurioita, kuluvia osia tai herkästi vaurioituvien osien, esim. kytkinten tai akkujen vaurioita.

Kuulokkeet on tarkoitettu ainoastaan yksityiseen, ei kaupalliseen käyttöön. Väärä tai asiaton käyttö, väkivallan käyttö ja muiden kuin valtuutetun huoltopisteen suorittamat korjaukset aiheuttavat takuun raukeamisen. Tämä takuu ei rajoita kuluttajan lakisääteisiä oikeuksia. Takuuhuolto ei pidennä takuuaikaa. Tämä koskee myös vaihdettuja ja korjattuja osia. Mahdollisesti jo ostettaessa olemassa olevat vauriot ja puutteet on ilmoitettava välittömästi pakkauksen avaamisen jälkeen, viimeistään kuitenkin kahden päivän sisällä ostopäiväyksestä. Takuuajan jälkeen suoritetut korjaukset ovat maksullisia.
