Information about these operating instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance. You have
thereby decided in favour of a high quality product. These operating
instructions are a component of the Aroma Diff user SAD12A1
(hereafter referred to as the appliance or product) and they provide
you with important information about the intended use, safety, connection
and operation of the appliance. These operating instructions must be
constantly kept available close to the appliance. They are to be read
and applied by everyone assigned to operate the appliance and to
eliminate faults with it. Retain these operating instructions and pass
them on, together with the appliance, to a possible future owner.

Intended Use
This appliance is intended only for domestic use and for the refreshing
and humidifi cation of air in enclosed spaces. This appliance is not
intended for any other use or for uses beyond those mentioned here.

Safety

In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding
the handling of the appliance. Incorrect usage can, however, lead to
personal and property damage.
Basic safety instructions
For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety
information:
■ Before use, check the appliance for signs of visible
external damage. Do not put into operation an
appliance that is damaged or has been dropped.
There is also a risk of personal injury!
■ This appliance may be used by children of the age
of 8 years or more and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they are supervised
or, in regard to the safe use of the appliance, have
been instructed in its use and understand the potential risks. Children must not play with the appliance.
Children should not carry out cleaning and user
maintenance tasks without supervision.
■ Operate the appliance only with the supplied
power adapter (type DK12-240-0500).
■ Place the appliance only on fl at surfaces, so that a
tipping over is excluded.

■ Repairs should only be carried out by authorised
specialist companies or by the Customer Service
Department. Incorrect repairs can result in signifi cant risks for the user. In addition, warranty claims
become void.
■ To avoid risks, arrange for defective power plugs
and/or cables to be replaced at once by qualifi ed
technicians or our Customer Service Department.
■ This appliance may not be exposed to rain. Protect
the appliance from moisture and the penetration
of liquids and objects into the housing. NEVER
submerse the appliance in water and do not place
objects fi lled with liquids (such as vases) on the
appliance. The appliance could also be irreparably
damaged!
■ Before fi lling/emptying the water tank and before
cleaning, disconnect the plug from the mains power
socket.
■ Do not operate the appliance close to open fl ames
(e.g. candles). The appliance could also be irreparably damaged!
■ Avoid direct solar radiation. The appliance could
be irreparably damaged!
■ Always disconnect the mains power cable from the
socket by pulling on the plug, do not pull on the
cable itself. Otherwise, the power cable could be
damaged.

► If the contents are incomplete, or have been damaged due
to defective packaging or transportation, contact the Service
Hotline (see chapter Service).
Unpacking
♦ Remove all parts of the appliance and these operating instruc-
tions from the box.
♦ Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage.
The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of
their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are
therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit
saves on raw material and reduces generated waste.
Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed
according to the regionally established regulations.

Electrical connection

IMPORTANT
Before you connect the appliance to the power supply, check
►
to ensure that the required input voltage as given on the type
plate tallies with that for the intended power source. To avoid
possible damage to the appliance this data must match.
► Check to ensure that the cable for the power adapter
is not damaged and that it does not lead over hot surfaces
and or sharp edges, otherwise it could be damaged.
► Ensure that the cable for the power adapter is not over-taut
or kinked.
♦ Connect the power adapter to the appliance by inserting the
plug into the plug socket on the underside of the appliance.

Risk of scalding!
► UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you hold your
hands and face over the steam outlet

Use only 100% essential oils.

► Pay heed to the instructions by the manufacturer of the
essential oils.
► It is possible that oil drops may cause damage to furniture
surfaces. If necessary, place a cloth under the appliance.
♦ Place the appliance on a level and stable surface.

♦ Remove the diff usion cone and fi ll the water tank , by
using the supplied measuring beaker, with max. 80 ml of
clean mains water. Pay heed to the maximum fi lling level .
♦ Add 3 to 5 drops of the desired essential oil to the water.
♦ Then replace the diff usion cone onto the water tank .
♦ Insert the power adapter into the mains power socket.

IMPORTANT
Damage to the appliance!
► To avoid irreparable damage, when you are cleaning the
appliance ensure that no moisture can penetrate into it.
► Ensure that you remove the power adapter from the
mains power socket before cleaning the appliance.
► To avoid damage, do not empty the appliance through the
ventilation slot . When emptying it, take note of the arrow
direction
► Under no circumstances should you try to remove scale
deposits with a pointed or sharp object. The appliance could
be irreparably damaged.

Cleaning/descaling the appliance
♦ Clean the water tank after each use so as to remove oil resi-
due as completely as possible. For this, use a soft and slightly
moist cloth. In the case of stubborn stains, place a few drops of
mild detergent on the damp cloth.
♦ Should the steam production diminish, the ceramic disk
located at the bottom of the water tank
For this, use a slightly moistened cotton bud.
♦ Clean the surfaces of the appliance with a soft and dry cloth.
♦ To descale the appliance, use a standard commercial liquid
descaling agent. Pay heed also to the manufacturer’s instruc-
tions for your descaler.
♦ Fill the water tank to the maximum fi lling level with
descaler and let it stand until the scale is fully dissolved.
♦ Pour the scale removal away and then clean the water tank
with a soft and slightly damp cloth.

Storage
Should you decide to not use the appliance for an extended period,
disconnect it from the mains power supply and store it in a clean
and dry location away from direct sunlight.
Disposing of the appliance
Do not dispose of this appliance in your
normal domestic waste. This product is
subject to the provision of European
Directive 2012/19/EU WEEE (Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or
at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable
regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal
centre.

In regard to conformity with essential requirements and
other relevant provisions, this appliance complies with
the European EMC Directive 2004/108/EC, the Low
Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC and the Eco-design
Directive 2009/125/EC (Regulation 1275/2008 Annex

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of
purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and
meticulously examined before delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a
warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our service
department. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your
goods be assured.
NOTICE
The warranty covers replacements for material or manufac-

turing faults only, not for transport damage, normal wearing
parts or damage to fragile parts.
This product is for domestic use only and is not intended for commercial applications. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and
improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried
out by our authorised service branch.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty.
The warranty period is not extended by repairs made under the
warranty. This applies also to replaced and repaired parts.
Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported
immediately after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the

razpršilnik SAD 12A1 (spodaj imenovan naprava ali izdelek) in vam
nudijo pomembne napotke za predvideno uporabo, varnost, priključitev in delovanje naprave. Navodila za uporabo morajo vedno biti
na razpolago v bližini naprave. Prebrati in upoštevati jih mora vsaka
oseba, ki se ukvarja z uporabo naprave in odpravljanjem motenj
pri napravi. Ta navodila za uporabo dobro shranite in jih skupaj z

Varna uporaba
V tem poglavju najdete pomembne varnostne napotke za ravnanje z napravo. Nepravilna uporaba lahko privede od osebne in stvarne škode.

Osnovni varnostni napotki
Za varno ravnanje z napravo upoštevajte naslednje varnostne napotke:
■ Pred uporabo preverite, ali ima naprava vidne
poškodbe. Če je naprava poškodovana ali vam
je padla dol, je ne uporabljajte. Obstaja nevarnost poškodb!
■ Otroci v starosti od 8 let naprej in osebe z zmanj-
šanimi telesnimi, zaznavnimi ali duševnimi sposobnostmi ali s pomanjkanjem izkušenj in znanja
lahko napravo uporabljajo pod nadzorom ali če
so bile poučene o njeni varni uporabi in razumejo
nevarnosti, ki izhajajo iz uporabe naprave. Otroci
se ne smejo igrati z napravo. Otroci tudi ne smejo
naprave čistiti ali vzdrževati kot uporabniki, če pri
tem niso pod nadzorom.
■ Napravo uporabljajte samo s priloženim omre-
žnim adapterjem (DK12-240-0500).
■ Napravo postavljajte le na ravne površine, da se
ne bi zvrnila.
■ Popravila naprave naj izvaja le pooblaščeno
strokovno podjetje ali servisna služba. Zaradi
nestrokovnih popravil lahko pride od nevarnosti
za uporabnika. Poleg tega pa garancijska pravica
neha veljati.

■ Poškodovane omrežne vtiče ali omrežne kable
naj vam takoj zamenja pooblaščeno strokovno
osebje ali servisna služba, da se izognete nevarnosti.
■ Ta naprava ne sme biti izpostavljena dežju. Na-
pravo zaščitite pred vlago in vdorom tekočin ter
predmetov v ohišje. Naprave nikoli ne potopite v
vodo in nanjo ne postavljajte predmetov, napolnjenih s tekočino (npr. vaze). Naprava se lahko
nepopravljivo poškoduje.
■ Pri vsakem polnjenju/praznjenju posodice za
vodo in pred vsakim čiščenjem omrežni adapter
povlecite iz omrežne vtičnice.
■ Naprave ne uporabljajte v bližini odprtih plame-
nov (npr. sveče). Naprava se lahko nepopravljivo poškoduje.
■ Izogibajte se neposrednemu sončnemu obseva-
nju. Naprava se lahko nepopravljivo poškoduje.
■ Napeljavo vedno iz vtičnice povlecite za priključ-
ni vtič, ne vlecite za priključni kabel. Kabel se
drugače lahko poškoduje.
