Dterm Series III User Guide
1. Call Indicator lamp
Easier to see which phone is ringing, used for message wait as well.
2. Alphanumeric display
Assists the caller by providing visual information relating to the calling number and party's name, number dialed, call status, feature activation and user prompts, as well as a clock and timer.
8/16/24 keys/lamps (dual colour) can be used in any combination for the line (extension or exchange) selection, speed dialing or features you can access. Example features:
• Call Forward.
• Save and Repeat.
• Message Reminder.
• Call Back.

4. Recall button
Press to terminate the established call and reseize internal dial tone.
5. Function key
Used to activate terminal setup functions and to program One-Touch Speed Dial/Feature Keys. Terminal setup functions include:
• Microphone on/off : FNC+1
• Receiver volume : FNC+2
• Ringer tone : FNC+3 (keep pressing for tone 1, 2, 3 or 4.)
• Hands-free on/off : FNC+5 (on) FNC+6 (off)
6. Conference button
To establish a conference call. A red indicator provides visual confirmation that a conference is in session. See instructions below.
7. Last number redial key
Used to activate last number called and speed dialing. (Lift handset and press LNR/SPD to select. Then press # to dial the selected number.)
8. Speaker button
To control the built-in speaker for handsfree dialling and monitoring. Full handsfree dialling operation is a standard feature. A red indicator provides visual confirmation that the speaker is on.
9. Answer button
When the light on this key is lit, press to answer a waiting call.
10. Transfer button
To transfer call, or make a second call.
11. Hold button
To place a call on hold. Note: Press twice to place a call on exclusive hold (no-one else can pick up.) To retrieve the held call lift the handset and press the flashing line. You can also put a call on hold then make another call. You can swap between the two calls by pressing call hold, or hang up on second call and original will ring back.

12. Volume control
To control volume of handset, ringer, display contrast.
• LCD Contrast: Press the "up and down" keys whilst idle.
• Speaker/Receiver Volume: Press "up and down" keys during conversation.
• Ringer Volume: Press "up and down" keys during ringing.

12/20 keys can be used in any combination for speed dial, Direct Station Select (DSS) or feature access. To program Speed Calling:
• Press FNC button.
• Press desired Speed Call Button.
• Enter telephone number or feature code.
• Press FNC again to save.
To dial number in memory:
• Press desired Speed Call Button
To verify:
• Press FNC button.
• Press desired Speed Call Button.
Call Forward All
Forwards all calls immediately.
SET
• Lift handset.
• Press FWD ALL or dial "*1"
• Dial extension number your calls are to be forwarded to.
CANCEL
• Lift handset.
• Press FWD ALL or dial "#1"
Call Forward No Answer
Forwards only after 4-6 rings.
SET
• Lift handset.
• Press FWD NANS or dial "*2"
• Dial extension number your calls are to be forwarded to.

Call Forward Busy
Forwards only when your extension is busy.
SET
• Lift handset.
• Press FWD BSY or dial "*3"
• Dial extension number your calls are to be forwarded to.
CANCEL
• Lift handset.
• Press FWD BSY or dial "#3"
Save and Repeat
To Save
• Lift handset
• Dial desired telephone number.
• Press S & R.
To Repeat
• Lift handset.
• Press S & R and number saved is redialled.
Message (D/term only)
To Leave a Message
• Lift handset and dial extension.
• Receive no answer or busy signal.
• Press MSG.
To Display Message.
• Press MSG.
• Re-press MSG to display additional messages.
To Respond
• While displaying additional messages press SPKR.
• Press MSG to dial extension which left message.
• Message erased.
To Cancel
• Press MSG to display desired message.
• Dial # while message on display.
Call Back
If you dial a busy extension:
• Press CALL BACK or dial *0
• Hang up.
• You may originate or receive calls during this waiting period.
• When both extensions are free, your phome will ring.
• Lift handset and the other extension will ring.

Cancel
• Lift handset.
• Press CALL BACK or dial #0.
Voice Call (D/term only)
To speak over the intercom to other DTERM telephones only.
• Dial extension.
• Press VOICE button.
• Speak over intercom.
• Replace handset to disconnect
Group Call Pick Up
To answer another ringing extension in your group:
• Lift handset and press PICK UP or dial **
Direct Call Pick Up
To answer a specific extension in any area:
• Lift handset and dial ## plus extension number of ringing phone.
Conference Call
To establish a 3 way conversation.
• Pick up handset and dial first number required
• Whilst on the call, press Transfer (TRF) button
• Caller will be placed on hold
• Dial extension number or external number
• When called answered by third party, press CNF to establish a 3 way conversation.
Note: Any party may exit conference by hanging up
