ASP(Advanced Signal Processing)
The ASP feature is a noiserejection system built into the Ultra Ill that constantlyevaluates the effects of boat speed, water conditions, and
interference. This automatic feature givesyou the best display possible undermostconditions.
The ASPfeature is an effective tool incombating noise. In sonarterms, noiseis any undesired signal. It is causedby electrical and mechanical
sources such as bilge pumps, engine ignition systems and wiring, air bubblespassing overtheface ofthetransducer, evenvibration fromthe
engine. In all cases, noisecan produce unwanted marks on thedisplay.
