Product Overview
Introduction
DCS-3715 is a full HD, full frame rate network camera with H.264 compression. The DCS-3715 connects to a network to provide high­quality live video over the Internet. With the vivid video quality and superb high resolution, it can provide most detail of the video which is useful to identify any suspected object. DCS-3715 provides multiple streaming and exible viewing window settings for different purpose of surveillance, either for regular recording or mobile view. It also equipped with IR-cut removable (ICR) lte for day & night view. Built-in SD card slot can record important events in SD card as a local backup and it's very easy to retrieve.
The included D-Link D-ViewCam™ is sophisticated software which allows users to manage up to 32 network cameras, set e-mail alert notications, create recording schedules, and use motion detection to record directly to a hard drive. D-ViewCam™ also allows users to upload a oor plan to create a realistic layout of the premises where cameras are located, further simplifying the management process.

Features
Full HD Surveillance
DCS-3715 provides Full HD industral standard 16:9 wide screen video for IP surveillance. With the auto iris vari-focal lens, it is a high performance high quality network camera. To utilize the advantage of high resolution, the "viewing window" design can provide user a exible settings to monitor multiple ROI(Region of Interest) by a single camera. And the "ePTZ" can also simulate wide area surveillance by digital zoom and pan, tilt control.
Flexible Connectivity
The DCS-3715 includes input and output ports for connectivity to external devices such as IR sensors, switches, and alarm relays. It also comes with an RS-485 interface, providing connectivity to an optional pan/tilt scanner. The DCS-3715 also incorporates Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing it to be easily installed in a variety of locations without the need for supplemental power cabling.
Advanced Web User Interface
The DCS-3715 features D-Link’s latest-generation graphical user interface. This freshly-designed web interface features a clean, compact, and professional home screen which dramatically increases usability. Menu navigation is simplied thanks to a tree view which logically groups functions, helping users to quickly nd what they need. Likewise, intuitive graphic icons reduce the amount text and clutter within the browser window. New users will appreciate the convenient contextual help which offers an easy way to nd assistance with camera management tasks.
3GPP Mobile Surveillance
Support for 3GPP Mobile Surveillance allows users to view a live video feed from a 3GPP compatible Internet-ready mobile device. This extends monitoring capability, allowing users to check the camera’s video feed while on the go without a computer.

Hardware Installation
Basic Connection (without PoE)
Connect the camera to your switch or router via Ethernet cable. Connect the supplied power cable from the camera to a power outlet.
Connection Using a PoE Switch
If using a PoE switch or router, connect the network camera via Ethernet cable. PoE will transmit both power and data over a single cable.
Note: Once power has been established, the LED will turn red. When the device has obtained an IP address and is accessible, the
LED will turn green.

Installation
Conguration with Wizard
Click Setup Wizard to begin the installation.
Insert the DCS-3715 CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive to begin the installation. If the Autorun function on your computer is disabled, or if the D-Link Launcher fails to start automatically, click Start > Run. Type D:\ autorun.exe, where D: represents the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.
After clicking Setup Wizard, the following window will open.
Click Next to continue.

Click Yes to accept the License Agreement.
To start the installation process, click Next.
Note: The installation may take several minutes to nish.

Click Finish to complete the installation.
Click on the D-Link Setup Wizard SE icon that was created in your Windows Start menu.

Installation
Enter the Admin ID and password. When logging in for the rst time, the default Admin ID is admin with the password left blank.
Click Next, to proceed to the next page.
The Setup Wizard will appear and display the MAC address and IP address of your camera(s). If you have a DHCP server on your network, a valid IP Address will be displayed. If your network does not use a DHCP server, the network camera's default static IP 192.168.0.20 will be displayed.
Click the Wizard button to continue.

Take a moment to conrm your settings and click Restart.
Select DHCP if your camera obtains an IP address automatically when it boots up. Select static IP if the camera will use the same IP address each time it is started.
Click Next, to proceed to the next page.

Click on the D-Link Setup Wizard SE icon that was created in your Windows Start menu.
Start > D-Link > Setup Wizard SE
Viewing Camera via Web Browser
Select the camera and click the button labeled "Link" to access the web conguration.
The Setup Wizard will automatically open your web browser to the IP address of the camera.

This section shows your camera’s live video. You can select your video prole and view or operate the camera. For additional information about web conguration, please refer to the user manual included on the CD-ROM or the D-Link website.
Enter admin as the default username and leave the password blank. Click OK to continue.

Adjust the Zoom/Focus
Adjust Zoom Ratio
Unscrew the focus controller to loosen the zoom controller. Adjust the zoom factor by moving the controller the left or right until the desired range is achieved. Tighten the zoom controller once completed.
Adjust Focus
Unscrew the focus controller to loosen it. Adjust the focal range by rotating the ring to the left or right until the image is clear. Tighten the focus controller once completed.

D-ViewCam Setup Wizard
D-ViewCam software is included for the administrator to manage multiple D-Link IP cameras remotely. You may use the software to congure all the advanced settings for your cameras. D-ViewCam is a comprehensive management tool for IP surveillance.
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. A menu screen will appear as shown below.
Follow the Installation Wizard to install D-ViewCam.

Click Finish to complete the installation.
To start D-ViewCam, select Start > All Programs > D-Link D-ViewCam >
Main Console.
Device Pack Installation
Users who already have D-ViewCam v3.1x version installed must rst install the Device Pack included on the DCS-3715 CD-ROM to use the DCS-3715 camera with D-ViewCam. Upgrading D-ViewCam to the latest device pack will ensure that the new camera is recognized by the software.

Live Video
When you connect to the camera's web interface you will see the following page. This is the Live Video page which will allow you to view the camera's video feed and control basic camera functions using the icons on the screen. Please refer to the tables on the following pages for detailed information about the icons on this screen.

Click this logo to visit the D-Link website. The logos and website can be customized to t your needs. For more information, please refer to User Customization on page 68.
Client Settings
Setup the stream transmission mode and saving options on the local computer.
Language
Select this option to adjust the language settings.
Setup
Click on the setup icon on the main page to enter the camera setting pages. Note that only Administrators can access the setup page. To simplify the setting procedure, two types of user interfaces are available: Advanced Setup for professional users and Basic Setup for entry-level users.
Digital Output
Click this button to turn the digital output device on or off.
Video Stream
This camera supports multiple streams (stream 1 ~ 4) simultaneously. You may select one for live viewing.
Global View
Click on this item to display the Global View window. The Global View window contains a full view image (the largest frame size of the captured video) and a oating frame (the viewing region of the current video stream). The oating frame allows users to control the e-PTZ function (Electronic Pan/Tilt/Zoom). For more information about e-PTZ operation, please refer to PTZ Control. For more information about how to set up the viewing region of the current video stream, please refer to Video settings on page 30.

PTZ Control
This camera supports both “digital“ (e-PTZ) and “mechanical“ pan/tilt/zoom control. Please refer to PTZ Control for detailed information.
Mechanical PTZ: Connect the camera to a PTZ driver or scanner via RS-485 interface.
Digital PTZ: Control the e-PTZ operation. It allows users to quickly move the focus to a target area for close-up viewing without physically moving the camera.
ePT Direction
Home: Move the camera to the preset home position.
Direction: Control the camera’s pan or tilt directions (up/down/left/
right).
Focus
Control camera focus to get a clear image. (Available only under mechanical PTZ mode*)
Focus Near Focus Far
Zoom
Zoom in/out to magnify or shrink the digital image.
Zoom in: Magnify image
Zoom out: Diminish image
Patrol Auto Pan
Patrol: Patrol executes a pre-dened sequence of pan, tilt,
zoom, and focus features Before selecting this, users must dene at least two preset points.
Auto Pan: Auto Pan automatically scans an area horizontally.
Go Preset
Select from the preset drop-down list to quickly move the camera to the desired preset position.
