Model: AVR-2808CI, AVR-988

Subject: Malfunction occurs due to bugs in the MICON software.

Symptom: 1) Intermittent IR Operation with Certain Commands Through

Remote Room to Room Rear Jacks Only.

2) When "Cars" BD disc (Blu-ray Disc) where "DolbyTrueHD 6.1ch" is recorded is
played, it is displayed on the FL display, "DolbyTrueHD 5.1ch" and, the signal
doesn't go out of "SB (Surround Back)" speakers.

3) When "Made of Newline" BD disc (Blu-ray Disc) where "DolbyTrueHD 7.1ch"
is recorded is reproduced, it is displayed on the FL display, "DolbyTrueHD 5.1ch"
"DolbyTrueHD 5.1ch".

4) Dolby TrueHD 192 kHz 5.1 channels change to Dolby Digital at Bitstream.

Solution:

MODIFICATION: Please install the Writer Software to a PC and update your unit

before using Setup Tool, by means of the Writer Software. (For the update
procedures, please refer to the attached procedures.)

The exclusive Writer Software to be installed to the PC. FWCV_AVR_AVC-
2808_V0056_SETUP.exe
An exclusive Writer Software: (The Short Cut of the following Exclusive Writer
Software is created on the Desk-top of the PC, after the installation.)

FWCV_AVR_AVC-2808_V0056.exe

(The exclusive Writer Software for the AVR-2808CI/AVR-988 that was installed
by means of the Installation Software on the above item #6-1).

For the update procedures, please refer to the
FWCV0056_manual_AVR2808.pdf document.

The firmware has been corrected so that no malfunction occurs.
