Speed regulator

The conveniently positioned speed regulator
allows you to adjust the aurora’s sewing
speed to the particular sewing task – slow
for precise work, and faster for more
general sewing. This function can also be
used for separate spooling.

Start/stop button

The aurora’s start/stop button is highly
practical. Since it is not necessary to
operate a foot control, you can sew at
speed with confidence.

Separate winder motor

The aurora’s new separate bobbin
winder is practical and incredibly user
friendly, enabling you to fill empty
bobbins without interrupting sewing,
embroidery or quilting operations.

Stitch selection

Choosing a particular stitch is now even more
user-friendly on the new aurora. Stitches can be
selected by pressing the buttons for selecting the
stitch numbers or by pressing the scroll buttons.
The stitch numbers and the stitch symbols are
always shown on the display.

Accessories box

The aurora comes with a whole host of useful
accessories. In addition to the bobbins and pres­ser feet (6/9), tools and maintenance accessories
supplied as standard, the accessories box can be
added to at any time. This box can be attached
to the back of the aurora for transport purposes.

Needle thread threader

The practical threading function
makes it easy to pass the thread
through the eye of the needle in
a matter of seconds.

Presser foot pressure display

The aurora also supports on-screen
display of the presser foot pressure.
You can adjust the pressure indivi­dually for every type of fabric. The
current setting is always displayed on
screen.

Presser foot display

The presser foot recommended
for your chosen embroidery
design or stitch type is displayed
on screen. This ensures that you
will always use the right presser
foot for the task in hand – and
consequently enjoy the fruits of
your labour even more.

Stitch display (symbol)

The aurora offers a wide
selection of stitches. The
stitch currently being used is
therefore always displayed
in the form of a distinctive
symbol on the screen. This
is particularly useful with
the scroll function.

Extension table

With the extension table the aurora offers
another useful accessory to create a larger
working area. The table is simply attached to
the freearm.

Embroidery module with BERNINA
Editor Lite software (optional)

The software is supplied together with the
emroidery module.This BERNINA software
allows you to customize many designs before
commencing embroidery, for example enlarge or
mirror designs, add letters, change colours
or combine designs.

Thanks to the embroidery software also integra­ted (embroidery control on personal computer),
you can follow the embroidery operation directly
on screen. You can therefore keep track of the
current status at all times, even if you are not
sitting at the sewing computer the whole time.
