New federally mandated
Daylight Savings Time
(DST) observance
This feature incorporates the new changes made to the United States DST
into the IP phones.
New Federally Mandated Daylight Savings Time (DST) Observance
The Aastra IP Phones now incorporate the new federally mandated DST
observance change. This change became affective starting in 2007.
The US has made a change to its daylight savings time observance starting in
2007. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 mandates that DST will now begin at 2:00
A.M. on the second Sunday in March and revert to Standard time on the first
Sunday in November. In 2007, DST begins March 11th, 2007, and ends
November 4th, 2007.
Note: In previous years, the DST began on the first Sunday of April and
ended on the first Sunday of October.
The changes to daylight savings time applies to the U.S. and Canada, but may
impact other countries outside North America.
If you’ve read this release note, and consulted the Troubleshooting section of your
phone model’s manual and still have problems, please send inquiries via email to
