BATTERY

With a small tool or coin,
slide the pocket clip up and
off of the case. Insert a
9-volt battery so that the
minus (–) sign on the
battery matches the minus
(–) sign on the side of the
battery compartment. Slide
the pocket clip on to the
case and press it down hard
until it snaps closed

SCANNING FOR
METAL

Place the iSensor®Metal
Finder against the surface
with the pocket clip near
the palm of your hand
(Figure 1). Press and HOLD
IN the ON/OFF button locat­ed on the left side. The LED
will flash to indicate it is on
and calibrated. Slide the
Metal Finder over the sur­face. Surface must be a

As the unit approaches
metal, it will start blinking,
blinking faster as you get
closer. A steady light or
fastest blinking rate will
indicate your nearest prox­imity to metal. The tool
sensor target is marked on
the case by an oval shape
(Figure 2).

If the signal is very strong
and the object location
seems very wide, use a
pencil to mark the edges of
the total width where the
signal occurs. Then turn the
unit off and then on again
over the edge of the marked
area and rescan. It will set

the detection capability to a
finer accuracy if calibrated
within that area and you
will be able to more closely
locate the object. You can
do this several times if
necessary to keep setting
the calibration to a
finer precision.

HELPFUL HINTS

1. First try moving unit over
something metal that is
exposed to familiarize
yourself with its
operation.

2. If Metal Finder seems

weak or inconsistent, try
starting at a new spot
some distance either side
of the first. It will not
work well if you start
exactly over the top of
metal because it will set

the calibration point too
high. Move over and
start again.

3. If LED stays on after
calibration, it indicates
fail to calibrate. The
sensor will not calibrate
if very near a metal
object. Try a new battery.

Note: Always turn off
the power if working near
electrical wires.

INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALACION
DE LA BATERIA

Con una herramienta o
moneda pequeña, deslice el
clip para bolsillo hacia
arriba y hacia afuera del
estuche. Inserte una batería
de 9 voltios. Compruebe que
el signo de menos (-) de la
batería corresponda con el
signo de menos (-) situado
en uno de los lados del
compartimiento de la
batería. Deslice el clip para
bolsillo en el estuche y
presione con fuerza hacia
abajo hasta que cierre a
presión.

EXPLORACION DE
METALES

Coloque el iSensor®Metal
Finder contra la superficie,
con el clip de bolsillo cerca
de la palma de su mano
(figura 1). Mantenga pre­sionado el botón ON/OFF
situado en el lado izquierdo.

El indicador luminoso
parpadeará para indicar que
está encendido y calibrado.
Deslice el Metal Finder
sobre la superficie, que debe
ser de un material no
metálico para que el Metal
Finder encuentre un objetivo
de metal. Cuando la unidad
se acerque a un metal,
comenzará a parpadear
cada vez más rápido. Al
parpadear muy rápido o al
quedar encendido, indicará la
mayor proximidad al metal.
El sensor de la unidad esta
marcado en el estuche con
una forma ovalada (figura 2).

Si la señal es muy intensa y
la ubicación del objeto
parece muy extensa, use un
lápiz para marcar los bordes
del ancho total donde surge

la señal. Luego apague la
unidad y vuelva a encenderla
sobre el borde del área
marcada y explore otra vez.
La capacidad de detección
se establece con mayor
precisión si está calibrada
dentro de esa área, y podrá
ubicar el objeto con mayor
precisión. Si es necesario,
puede hacerlo varias veces
para lograr realizar la
calibración con una mayor
precisión.

CONSEJOS UTILES

1.Primero trate de mover
la unidad sobre algo
metálico expuesto, para
familiarizarse con su
operación.

2.Si el Metal Finder parece
funcionar débilmente o en
forma irregular, intente

comenzar en un nuevo
lugar, a cierta distancia de
cualquiera de los lados
del primer lugar. No
funcionará bien si
comienza exactamente
arriba del metal, porque
establecerá demasiado
alto el punto de
calibración. Cambie de
lugar y comience otra vez.

3.Si el LED sigue encendido
después de la calibración,
indica que está mal
calibrado. El Sensor no se
calibrara si se encuentra
muy cerca a un objeto de
metal. Trate de nuevo con
una batería nueva.

Nota: Si trabaja cerca de
cables eléctricos, recuerde
que debe interrumpir
siempre el suministro
eléctrico.
