Introduction

The Stereo Bluetooth™ Headset HBH-DS980 lets you stay in control of your incoming and outgoing phone calls. You can enjoy stereo audio from a phone or other Bluetooth device, such as a computer or a portable music player. When you receive or make a call, the music automatically pauses and starts playing again when the call ends.

For full functionality, your phone or other device should support the following Bluetooth profiles:

• Bluetooth Audio/Video Remote Control

Getting started

To charge the headset

First time use: Charge approximately 8 hours before using the headset.

Pairing the headset with the phone

Before you can use the headset with your phone it has to be paired once with the phone. Follow the instructions in the phone User guide on how to turn on Bluetooth in your phone.

To pair the headset with the phone

Turn on Bluetooth in your phone.

Turn on Bluetooth visibility in your phone, and keep it close to the headset, 20 cm (7 inch) or less.

Make sure the headset is off.

On the headset, press and hold down the on/off key until the display shows .

If your phone supports auto pairing, press YES when Add device? appears in your phone to complete the procedure. If not, continue with step 6.

Prepare your phone according to the phone User guide on how to pair a Bluetooth device. You may need to enter a passcode (0000). When appears, the headset is ready to use.

To turn the headset on

• Press and hold down the on/off key until

Sony Ericsson appears.

To turn the headset off

• Press and hold down the on/off key until

Sony Ericsson disappears.

To light up the display

• Press the menu key or on/off key. The display turns off automatically.

To reset the headset to default settings

Switch the headset off.

Press and hold down the on/off key until the display shows .

Press and hold down the on/off key and the call handling key simultaneously until the headset is turned off.

Listening to music

Before you can listen to music, the headset has to be paired once with your phone. See “To pair the headset with the phone” on page 10. You can also use the headset with other devices, for example, a computer or a portable music player.

To play or stop the music

• Press the music key on the headset to start or stop the music.

To skip to another music track

• Select the next or previous track key.

To adjust the music volume

• When you listen to music, press the volume up or down key.

Using another device as a music source

Before you can listen to music from another device, the headset has to be paired once with the device. The headset can be paired with up to ten devices. When you press the music key, the headset connects to the most recently used music device.

Note: If the last used music device is not within range, you have to select another device in the device list. See “To select another device as a music source” on page 14.

To pair the headset with another device

Turn on Bluetooth in your device.

Turn on Bluetooth visibility in your device, and keep it close to the headset, 20 cm (7 inch) or less.

In the headset, press and hold down the on/off key until the display shows . The headset is prepared to be paired.

Prepare your device according to the device User guide on how to pair a Bluetooth device. You may need to enter a passcode. The headset passcode is 0000.

To select another device as a music source

When the headset is on and paired with several devices, press and hold down the menu key until the menu icons appear.

Press the volume key to scroll to .

Press the music key to enter the device list.

Scroll to a device and press the music key.

Tip: To return to a previous menu level, press the menu key.

Calling functions

Your phone uses the headset for calls, even if you are listening to music from another device. You can pair and connect several phones to the headset, and receive calls from any of them.

Note: Objects, walls and a greater distance than 5 metres (16.5 feet) can affect the sound. Wear your headset on the same side of your body as your phone for best performance.

To answer a call

• Press the call handling key.

To reject a call

• Press and hold down the call handling key until you hear a beep.

To end a call

• Press the call handling key. The display shows the duration of the call. A call on hold is connected again.

To answer a second call

• Press the call handling key. The ongoing call is put on hold.

To switch between two calls

• Press and hold down the call handling key until you hear a beep.

To make a call using phone contacts

Press and hold down the menu key until the menu icons appear.

Press the volume key to scroll to .

Press the call handling key to enter your contacts.

Scroll the alphabetical list with the volume key, and press the call handling key to select the first letter of the contact.

Scroll the contacts with the volume key, and press the call handling key to select a contact.

If a contact has more than one number, scroll the numbers with the volume key.

Press the call handling key to call the number.

Tip: To return to a previous menu level, press the menu key. To select an item, you can also press the music key.

To make a call using the call list

Press and hold down the menu key until the menu icons appear.

Press the volume key to scroll to .

Press the call handling key to enter the call list.

Scroll the list with the volume key, and press the call handling key to call a number.

Tip: To return to a previous menu level, press the menu key. To select an item, you can also press the music key.

To make a call using voice commands

Press the call handling key.

After the beep: Say the name you want to call.

Note: To be able to use this function, you first have to activate voice control in your phone and record voice commands. For more information on voice commands, and if your phone supports it, see the phone User guide.

To transfer sound from phone to headset

• During an ongoing call in your phone, press the call handling key on the headset. To transfer from headset to phone, see the phone User guide.

To turn the microphone on or off (mute)

• During a call, press both volume keys simultaneously.

To adjust the ringtone volume

• When you have no ongoing call or music playing, press the volume key up or down.

To adjust the speaker volume for calls

• During a call, press the volume key up or down.

To select another phone for outgoing calls

When the headset is on and paired with several phones, press and hold down the menu key until the menu icons appear.

Press the volume key to scroll to .

Press the call handling key to enter the device list.

Scroll to a phone and press the call handling key. The phone you have selected now is the one you will use for outgoing calls. It is indicated by before the phone name in the device list.

Tip: To return to a previous menu level, press the menu key.

Note: If you pair a new phone with the headset, the new phone will automatically be the one used for outgoing calls. Incoming calls can be received from all phones paired with the headset, and which are in range.

Troubleshooting

No connection to phone or other device

• Before you can use your Stereo Bluetooth Headset with your phone or other device it has to be paired once. See “To pair the headset with the phone” on page 10 or “To pair the headset with another device” on page 13.

• Make sure the headset is charged and within range of the phone or other device. We recommend a maximum distance of 5 metres (16.5 feet), with no solid objects in between.

• Check the Bluetooth settings in the phone or other device. For more information on Bluetooth and pairing, go to www.sonyericsson.com/learnabout.

• Make sure your phone supports the Bluetooth Handsfree profile. See the phone User guide.

The headset does not connect to my music source

• Make sure your phone or other device is paired with the headset. See “To pair the headset with the phone” on page 10, or “To pair the headset with another device” on page 13. You may have to restart the media player and select to use the headset.

• Make sure your phone or device supports the Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution profile.

• The headset tries to connect to the most recently used music device paired with the headset. Select the device to use with the headset. See “To select another device as a music source” on page 14.

The remote control functions do not work

• Make sure your device supports the Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution profile.

The headset is switched off automatically

• The battery is too low. You hear a low beep. Charge the battery.

• When pairing for the first time, the headset switches off if you do not pair it with the phone within 10 minutes.

Battery capacity

• A battery that has been infrequently used or a new one, could have reduced capacity. It may need to be recharged a number of times.

Unexpected behaviour

• Reset the headset. See “To reset the headset to default settings” on page 11.

Introducción

El auricular Bluetooth™ estéreo HBH-DS980 permite controlar las llamadas entrantes y salientes. Para seleccionar otro teléfono para las llamadas salientes

Si el auricular está encendido y asociado con varios teléfonos, mantenga pulsada la tecla de menú hasta que aparezca el icono de menú.

Nota: Si asocia el auricular con un nuevo teléfono, éste empezará a utilizarse automáticamente para realizar llamadas. Las llamadas entrantes se pueden recibir de cualquier teléfono asociado con el auricular, siempre y cuando tengan cobertura.

Resolución de problemas

No hay conexión con el teléfono u otro dispositivo

• Antes de utilizar el auricular Bluetooth estéreo con el teléfono u otro dispositivo, debe asociarlos una vez. Véase “Para asociar el auricular con el teléfono” en la página 28 o “Para asociar el auricular con otro dispositivo” en la página 32.

• Asegúrese de que el manos libres esté cargado y dentro del alcance del teléfono o dispositivo. Se recomienda una distancia máxima de 5 metros (16,5 pies) sin que haya ningún objeto sólido en medio.

• Compruebe que la configuración de Bluetooth en el teléfono o el otro dispositivo. Para obtener más información sobre Bluetooth y pairing, vaya a www.sonyericsson.com/learnabout.

• Compruebe que el teléfono es compatible con el perfil Manos libres de Bluetooth. Consulte la Guía del usuario del teléfono.

El auricular no conecta con mi fuente de música

• Cerciórese de que el teléfono o demás dispositivos están asociados con el auricular. Véase “Para asociar el auricular con el teléfono” en la página 28, o “Para asociar el auricular con otro dispositivo” en la página 32. Es posible que tenga que reiniciar el reproductor multimedia y seleccionar el uso del auricular.

Mit dem Bluetooth™-Stereoheadset HBH-DS980 können Sie nicht nur ankommende und abgehende Anrufe verwalten, sondern auch Musik aus dem Telefon oder einem anderen Bluetooth Gerät (z. B. Computer oder portabler Player) in Stereoqualität genießen. Wenn Sie einen Anruf erhalten oder tätigen, wird die Musikwiedergabe automatisch unterbrochen und nach Beendigung des Anrufs fortgesetzt.

Aktivieren Sie Bluetooth im Telefon.

Aktivieren Sie im Telefon die Bluetooth-Sichtbarkeit und bringen Sie es in eine Entfernung von maximal 20 cm (7 Zoll) zum Headset.

Das Headset muss ausgeschaltet sein.

Drücken und halten Sie die Ein/Aus-Taste am Headset, bis auf dem Display angezeigt wird.

Wenn das Telefon das automatische Koppeln unterstützt, drücken Sie „Ja“, sobald die Frage „Gerät hinzufügen?“ angezeigt wird. Fahren Sie andernfalls mit Schritt 6 fort.

Bereiten Sie das Telefon mit den in der zugehörigen Bedienungsanleitung angegebenen Schritten auf das Koppeln eines Bluetooth-Geräts vor. Sie müssen ggf. ein Kennwort eingeben (0000). Wenn angezeigt wird, kann das Headset benutzt werden.

Hinweis: Wenn Sie ein neues Telefon mit dem Headset koppeln, wird automatisch dieses neue Telefon für abgehende Anrufe verwendet. Ankommende Anrufe werden über alle mit dem Headset gekoppelten Telefone empfangen, die sich in Reichweite befinden.

Fehlerbeseitigung

Keine Verbindung zu Telefon oder anderem Gerät

• Bevor Sie das Bluetooth-Stereoheadset mit dem Telefon oder einem anderen Gerät benutzen können, muss es gekoppelt werden. Weitere Informationen finden Sie unter „So koppeln Sie das Headset mit dem Telefon:“ auf Seite 48 bzw. „So koppeln Sie das Headset mit einem anderen Gerät:“ auf Seite 51.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass das Headset geladen ist und sich in Reichweite des Telefons bzw. des anderen Geräts befindet. Wir empfehlen eine maximale Distanz von 5 m (16,5 Fuß) ohne Festkörper in der Sichtlinie zwischen den Geräten.

• Überprüfen Sie die Bluetooth-Einstellungen im Telefon bzw. im anderen Gerät. Weitere Informationen zu Bluetooth und zum Koppeln finden Sie unter www.sonyericsson.com/learnabout

• Das Telefon muss das Profil „Bluetooth Handsfree“ unterstützen. Beachten Sie die Bedienungsanleitung des Telefons.

Fernbedienungsfunktionen arbeiten nicht

Headset wird automatisch ausgeschaltet

• Der Akku ist nicht mehr ausreichend geladen. Sie hören einen tiefen Signalton. Laden Sie den Akku.

• Beim erstmaligen Koppeln wird das Headset automatisch ausgeschaltet, wenn Sie es nicht innerhalb von 10 Minuten mit einem Telefon koppeln.

Akkukapazität

• Ein nur wenig benutzter Akku oder ein neuer Akku kann eine geringe Kapazität aufweisen. Er muss dann mehrmals ge- und entladen werden.

Les écouteurs stéréo Bluetooth™ HBH-DS980 vous permettent de gérer les appels téléphoniques entrants et sortants. Pour charger les écouteurs

Première utilisation : Chargez les écouteurs pendant 8 heures environ avant de les utiliser.

Jumelage des écouteurs avec le téléphone

Avant d’utiliser les écouteurs avec votre téléphone, vous devez les jumeler avec celui-ci. Suivez les instructions du Guide d’utilisation du téléphone pour activer Bluetooth sur votre téléphone.

Pour jumeler les écouteurs avec le téléphone

Activez Bluetooth sur votre téléphone.

Activez la visibilité Bluetooth sur votre téléphone et gardez-le à proximité des écouteurs (20 cm, 7 pouces).

Assurez-vous que les oreillettes sont hors tension.

Sur les oreillettes, maintenez enfoncée la touche marche/arrêt jusqu’à ce que apparaisse.

Si votre téléphone prend en charge le jumelage automatique, appuyez sur YES lorsque Ajouter périphérique ? apparaît sur l’appareil pour clôturer la procédure. Sinon, passez à l’étape 6.

Préparez votre téléphone conformément aux instructions de son Guide d’utilisation relatives au jumelage d’un périphérique Bluetooth. Il est possible que vous deviez introduire le code d’accès (0000). Lorsque apparaît, les oreillettes sont prêtes à l’emploi.

Pour mettre les écouteurs sous tension

• Maintenez enfoncée la touche marche/arrêt jusqu’à ce que Sony Ericsson apparaisse.

Pour mettre les écouteurs hors tension

• Maintenez enfoncée la touche marche/arrêt jusqu’à ce que Sony Ericsson disparaisse.

Pour allumer l’affichage

Ecoute de la musique

téléphone », page 67. Vous pouvez également utiliser les écouteurs avec d’autres périphériques, tels qu’un ordinateur ou un lecteur de musique portable.

Pour lire ou arrêter la lecture de la musique

• Appuyez sur la touche Musique des écouteurs pour démarrer ou arrêter la lecture de la musique.

Pour accéder à une autre plage musicale

• Sélectionnez la touche de la plage suivante ou précédente.

Pour régler le volume de la musique

• Lorsque vous écoutez la musique, appuyez sur la touche d’augmentation ou de diminution du volume.

Utilisation d’un autre périphérique comme source

Pour pouvoir écouter de la musique à partir d’un autre périphérique, vous devez jumeler les écouteurs avec ce dernier. Les écouteurs peuvent être jumelés avec dix périphériques maximum. Lorsque vous appuyez sur la touche Musique, les écouteurs se connectent au périphérique audio que vous avez utilisé en dernier.

Remarque : Si le dernier périphérique audio utilisé n’est pas à portée du téléphone, vous devez en sélectionner un autre dans la liste des périphériques. Reportez-vous à la section « Pour sélectionner un autre périphérique comme source », page 71.

Pour jumeler les écouteurs avec un autre périphérique

Activez Bluetooth sur votre périphérique.

Activez la visibilité Bluetooth sur votre périphérique et gardez-le à proximité des écouteurs (20 cm, 7 pouces).

Sur les oreillettes, maintenez enfoncée la touche marche/arrêt jusqu’à ce que apparaisse. Vous pouvez jumeler les écouteurs.

Préparez votre périphérique conformément aux instructions de son Guide d’utilisation relatives au jumelage d’un périphérique Bluetooth. Il est possible que vous deviez introduire le code d’accès. Le code d’accès des écouteurs est 0000.

Pour sélectionner un autre périphérique comme source

Lorsque les écouteurs sont sous tension et jumelés avec plusieurs appareils, maintenez la touche Menu enfoncée jusqu’à ce que les icônes de menu apparaissent.

Appuyez sur la touche de réglage du volume pour accéder à .

Appuyez sur la touche Musique pour accéder à la liste des périphériques.

Faites défiler jusqu’à un périphérique et appuyez sur la touche Musique.

Fonctions d’appel

Votre téléphone utilise les écouteurs pour les appels, même si vous écoutez la musique d’un autre périphérique. Vous pouvez jumeler et connecter plusieurs téléphones aux écouteurs, ainsi que recevoir des appels à partir de ceux-ci.

Remarque : Les objets, les murs et l’éloignement de plus de 5 m (16,5 pieds) peuvent influencer le son. Pour des performances optimales, portez les écouteurs du même côté du corps que le téléphone.

Pour mettre fin à un appel

Pour répondre à un deuxième appel

• Appuyez sur la touche de gestion des appels. L’appel en cours est mis en attente.

Pour passer d’un appel à l’autre

• Maintenez enfoncée la touche de gestion des appels jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez un bip.

Pour émettre un appel à l’aide des contacts du téléphone

Maintenez enfoncée la touche Menu jusqu’à ce que les icônes de menu apparaissent.

Appuyez sur la touche de gestion des appels pour accéder à vos contacts.

Faites défiler la liste triée par ordre alphabétique à l’aide de la touche de réglage du volume, et appuyez sur la touche de gestion des appels pour sélectionner la première lettre du contact.

Remarque : Pour pouvoir utiliser cette fonction, vous devez activer la commande vocale sur votre téléphone et enregistrer des commandes vocales. Pour transférer le son du téléphone aux écouteurs

Pour activer/désactiver le microphone (silencieux)

Remarque : Si vous jumelez un nouveau téléphone avec les écouteurs, il est automatiquement défini comme celui à utiliser pour les appels sortants. Les écouteurs peuvent recevoir les appels entrants de tous les téléphones jumelés se trouvant à leur portée.

Dépannage

Absence de connexion avec le téléphone ou un autre périphérique

• Avant d’utiliser vos écouteurs stéréo Bluetooth avec votre téléphone ou un autre périphérique, vous devez les jumeler. Reportez-vous à la section « Pour jumeler les écouteurs avec le téléphone », page 67 ou « Pour jumeler les écouteurs avec un autre périphérique », page 70.

• Assurez-vous que les écouteurs sont chargés et à portée du téléphone ou de l’autre périphérique. Il est conseillé d’observer une distance inférieure à 5 mètres (16,5 pieds), sans aucun obstacle physique.

• Vérifiez les paramètres Bluetooth du téléphone ou de l’autre dispositif. Pour plus d’informations sur Bluetooth et le jumelage, visitez www.sonyericsson.com/learnabout.

• Assurez-vous que votre téléphone prend en charge le profil Mains libres Bluetooth. Reportez-vous au Guide d’utilisation de téléphone.

Les écouteurs ne se connectent pas à la source musicale

• Assurez-vous que votre téléphone ou l’autre dispositif est jumelé avec les écouteurs. Il se peut que vous deviez redémarrer le lecteur média et sélectionner l’utilisation des écouteurs.

• Assurez-vous que votre téléphone ou votre périphérique prend en charge le profil Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution.

• Les écouteurs tentent de se connecter au dernier périphérique audio jumelé avec les écouteurs. Sélectionnez le périphérique à utiliser avec les écouteurs. Reportez-vous à la section « Pour sélectionner un autre périphérique comme source », page 71.

Les fonctions de la télécommande ne fonctionnent pas

Les écouteurs se mettent automatiquement hors tension

• La batterie est trop faible. Vous entendez un faible bip. Rechargez la batterie.

• La première fois que vous effectuez le jumelage, les écouteurs se mettent hors tension si vous ne les jumelez pas avec le téléphone dans les 10 minutes.

Capacité de la batterie

• Une batterie neuve ou qui n’a pas été utilisée régulièrement peut présenter une capacité réduite. Il se peut que vous deviez la recharger plusieurs fois.

Comportement inattendu
