If your TV screen should go blank, try pressing
the PROGRESSIVE button on the front panel of
the unit.
You can enjoy high resolution progressive signals by pressing the PROGRESSIVE button
on the front panel of the unit. While the disc is stopped, press the PROGRESSIVE button
only if you have connected a progressive format TV to the DVD-VCR’s COMPONENT
VIDEO OUT jacks using a component video cord. (The connection using COMPONENT
VIDEO OUT jack is only for the DVD player.)
In any other case, pressing the PROGRESSIVE button on the front panel of the unit (the
PROGRESSIVE indicator lights up) may cause the images on your TV screen to become
unclear or unnatural. In this case, press the PROGRESSIVE button again to turn off the
PROGRESSIVE indicator.
For more information about progressive signals, please see “B Use this hookup if your
TV has component video input jacks” (page 58 for SLV-D500P/page 47 for SLV-D300P
/page 45 for SLV-D201P).
