Safety Rules
USE OF THE AERIAL WORK PLATFORM: This aerial work plaorm is intended to li persons and tools as well as the
material used for the job. It is designed for repair, assembly jobs and assignments at overhead workplaces (ceilings, cranes, roof structures, buildings etc). All other uses of the aerial work plaorm are prohibited! THIS AERIAL WORK PLATFORM IS NOT INSULATED! For this reason it is crucial to keep a safe distance from live
electrical equipment.
DISTRIBUTE all plaorm loads evenly across the plaorm. NEVER operate the machine without rst surveying the work area for hazards. OPERATE the machine only on surface capable of supporng the machine weight. NEVER operate the machine when the wind speeds are in excise of the machine wind speed rang. See “Beaufort
Scale” on page 5 for details.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY press emergency stop switch which will deacvate all powered funcons. IF ALARM SOUNDS the machine is lted, plaorm is overloaded or the machine is lowering. NEVER perform service on machine while elevated unless safety prop is in place. INSPECT the machine thoroughly for cracked welds, loose or missing hardware, hydraulic leaks, loose or frayed
wiring, and damaged cables or hoses before using.
VERIFY that all sckers and indicators are in place and legible before using. NEVER use a machine that is damaged, not funconing properly, or has damaged or missing indicators.
Bypassing any safety equipment is strictly prohibited and presents a danger for the persons on or in the area of
the aerial work plaorm.
Never drive aerial work plaorm with extension deck rolled out, it will cause machine to p over backwards. NEVER charge the baeries near sparks or opename. SPECIAL LIMITATIONS
Aerial work platform will only drive with the outriggers in the retracted position. The outriggers will only retract when the scissor stack is all the way down. Aerial work platform will only raise and lower with the outriggers in the extended position.
The raise function on Aerial work platform will only work when the work platform is level. The machine is not intended to be driven over rough or very soft terrain.
PLATFORM CAPACITY
The maximum platform capacity for the XT24SD is 227 kg (500 lbs). Two people max may occupy the platform.
DO NOT exceed the maximum platform capacity or the platform occupancy limits for this machine. If the platform capacity exceeds the rated load the machine will sound an audible alarm and overload light will be illuminated. After the machine hits overload the machine must be completely lowered and weight must be unloaded below the rated capacity.
MANUAL FORCE
Manual force is the force that is applied by the occupants to objects such as walls or other structures
outside the work platform.
The maximum allowable manual force is limited to 667 N (150 lbs.) of force per occupant, with a maximum of 1334 N (300 lbs.) for two occupants.
DO NOT exceed the maximum amount of manual force for this machine.
BEAUFORT SCALE
Never operate the machine when winds speeds exceed 12.5m/s (28 mph) [Beaufort scale 6].
