5.3 Recommendation for the treatment procedure
Fatigue fracture
NOTICE! Use only faultless files in order to prevent fatigue fractures of
the files as far as possible.
Please observe the information provided by the file manufactu rer.
● The different file systems require different working techniques. For
this reason, please always observe the information provided by the
file manufacturer.
● Work without exerting any pressure on the file.
Apex locator
● The ApexLocator function is used to support the root canal
preparation process in combination with SIROEndo Pocket or a
treatment center with the apex measurement function. The number
of X-rays can be reduced with VDW 6:1. However, you must always
take at least one X-ray to determine the depth for preparatory work.
A clinical evaluation including knowledge of the anatomy of root
canals is important for interpreting the results.

Wear islolated gloves
● When performing the APEX measurement, wear appropriate
insulated gloves. We recommend performing the treatment with a
cofferdam, while using an insulating sleeve. This will prevent
inaccurate measurements caused by undesired leakage currents.
During the measurement, the instrument must not come into contact
with the patient's mucosa, metallic tooth restorations, or the mucosal
electrode.
● If the limit torque is exceeded, a gentle creaking may be heard and
vibrations felt. Remove the file by gently pulling it toward the coronal
end. If this is not possible, switch the drive to counterclockwise
rotation and pull the file out of the channel.
IMPORTANT:Check the file afterwards for damage or deformation
(untwisting) and replace it, where necessary.

5.4 Mounting and removing the insulating sleeve
NOTICE! Insulating sleeves are only used once. Change the insulating
sleeve after each patient.

time).

at least 10 seconds.
2. Flush the drive channels with spray.
3. Conduct thermal disinfection or unwrapped steam sterilization.
4. Maintain mechanical parts manually [ → 33].

5.3 Empfehlung zum Behandlungsablauf
Ermüdungsfraktur
ACHTUNG! Verwenden Sie nur einwandfreie Feilen um
Ermüdungsfrakturen der Feilen weitestgehend auszuschließen.
Angaben der Feilenhersteller beachten
● Die verschiedenen Feilensysteme bedürfen unterschiedlicher
Arbeitsweisen. Beachten Sie daher immer die Angaben der
Feilenhersteller.
● Arbeiten Sie ohne Druck auf die Feile auszuwirken.
ApexLocator
● Die ApexLocator-Funktion dient zur Unterstützung des WurzelkanalAufbereitungsprozesses in Verbindung mit SIROEndo Poket oder
einer Behandlungseinheit mit Apexmessfunktion. Mit VDW 6:1 kann
die Anzahl der Röntgenbilder reduziert werden. Machen Sie jedoch
in jedem Fall mindestens eine Röntgenaufnahme zur Bestimmung
der Aufbereitungstiefe. Eine klinische Beurteilung einschließlich der
Kenntnisse über die Anatomie von Wurzelkanälen ist bei der
Interpretation der Ergebnisse wichtig.

isolierte Handschuhe tragen
● Tragen Sie bei der Apexmessung isolierende Handschuhe. Wir
empfehlen, die Behandlung mit einem Kofferdam durchzuführen
und eine Isolierhülle zu verwenden. Dadurch vermeiden Sie
Fehlmessungen durch unerwünschte Ableitströme. Das Instrument
darf während der Messung keine Berührung zur
Patientenschleimhaut, zu metallischem Zahnersatz oder der
Schleimhautelektrode haben.
● Bei Überschreiten des Grenzdrehmoments ist ein leichtes Knarren
zu hören sowie eine Vibration zu spüren. Lösen Sie die Feile durch
vorsichtiges Ziehen in koronale Richtung. Ist dies nicht möglich,
bringen Sie den Antrieb in Linkslauf und ziehen Sie die Feile aus
dem Kanal.
WICHTIG: Kontrollieren Sie die Feile danach auf Beschädigung
oder Verformung (Aufdrehung) und tauschen Sie gegenenfalls aus.

5.4 Isolierhülle aufziehen und abnehmen
ACHTUNG! Die Isolierhülle ist für den Einmalgebrauch vorgesehen.
Wechseln Sie die Isolierhülle nach jedem Patienten.

7.1 Vordesinfektion durchführen

proteinfixierende Wirkung besitzen.
1. Sprühen Sie die Oberfläche mit Desinfektionsmittel ein.
2. Wischen Sie das Desinfektionsmittel mit einem Tuch ab.

Sirona -DAC Universal
Zur maschinellen Reinigung, Desinfektion, Pflege und unverpackten
Sterilisation empfehlen wir den Sirona DAC UNIVERSAL.
Die Anwendung entnehmen Sie der Gebrauchsanweisung des Geräts.
Vorgehensweise _ Insturment
✔ Die Druckknopf-Spannzange ist manuell gepflegt [ → 35].
✔ Das Instrument ist mit dem DAC UNIVERSAL aufbereitet.
1. Prüfen Sie bei guter Beleuchtung (min. 500 Lux) und
Farbwiedergabeindex (min. 80 Ra), ob das Instrument nach der

7.2.2 ... mit einem Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsgerät

Sie können das Instrument auch in einem geeigneten Reinigungs- und
Desinfektionsgerät reinigen und desinfizieren.
Reinigungs- und Desinf ektionsgerät
Das Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsgerät muss von seinem Hersteller
für die Reinigung und Desinfektion von zahnärztlichen Instrumenten
freigegeben sein und der EN ISO 15883-1 entsprechen (z. B. 95 °C
(203° F) und 10min Haltezeit).
Die Anwendung entnehmen Sie der Gebrauchsanweisung des Geräts.
Kontrolle _ Instrument
✔ Das Instrument ist mit einem Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsgerät
aufbereitet.
1. Prüfen Sie bei guter Beleuchtung (min. 500 Lux) und
Farbwiedergabeindex (min. 80 Ra), ob das Instrument nach der
Aufbereitung sauber ist.

5. Pflegen Sie die Druckknopf-Spannzange manuell [ → 35].
6. Verpacken Sie das Instrument in einer für Sterilisation und Lagerung
geeigneten Verpackung, z. B. Papier/Laminat Verpackung.
7. Führen Sie eine Sterilisation durch [ → 36].
7.3 Manuell reinigen und desinfizieren

✔ Tragen Sie geeignete Schutzkleidung.
✔ Alle desinfizierenden Mittel müssen in Ihrem Land zugelassen sein
und nachweislich bakterizide, fungizide und viruzide Eigenschaften
haben. Verwenden Sie nur Desinfektionsmittel, die keine
proteinfixierende Wirkung besitzen.
1. Bürsten Sie das Instrument so lange unter fließendem Wasser ab
(< 38 °C, < 100 °F, mind. Trinkwasserqualität), bis bei guter
Beleuchtung (min. 500 Lux) und Farbwiedergabeindex (min. 80 Ra)
keine Verschmutzung mehr erkennbar ist, mindestens aber 10
Sekunden.
2. Spülen Sie die Getriebekanäle mit Spray.
3. Führen Sie eine thermische Desinfektion oder eine unverpackte
Dampfsterilisation durch.

zusätzlich für die Sterilisation von Hand-/Winkelstücken geeignet sind.
ACHTUNG! Überschreiten Sie auch während der Trocknungsphase
