Intended Application
This appliance is intended for the toasting of slices
of bread, rolls and waffles in domestic environment.
It is not intended for use with other foodstuffs, other
materials or for use in commercial or
industrial environments.Any other use or modification is considered improper use and also involves
significant accident risks.

Important safety instructions
To avoid potentially fatal electric
shocks:
• NEVER insert cutlery or other metallic
objects into the toaster slots.
• Ensure that the appliance never comes into contact with water when the power plug is inserted
into a wall socket, especially if it is being used in
a kitchen and close to the sink.
• Ensure that the power cable can never becomes
wet or damp during operation. Lay the power
cable in such a way that it is cannot become
caught or pinched or can be damaged in any
other way.

• To avoid unnecessary risks, arrange for defective
power plugs and/or cables to be replaced at
once by qualified technicians or our Customer
Service Department.
• After use, always remove the power plug from
the mains power socket, this prevents an unintentional switching on of the appliance..
• The power plug must always be easily accessible, so that the appliance can be quickly separated from the mains power supply in the event of
an emergency.
To avoid the risks of fire or injury:
• The appliance can become hot when it is in use.
Therefore, only touch the operating elements.
• Bakery products can burn! You should therefore
NEVER locate the appliance close to or underneath inflammable objects, especially not under
curtains or suspended cupboards.
• The appliance may not be used in close vicinity
to flammable material.
• Never cover the toaster when it is in use.
• This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences in experience and/or knowledge unless
they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety or receive from this person instruction
in how the appliance is to be used.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the device.
• Operate the appliance only on a stable, nonslippery and level surface.
• Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control system to operate the appliance.
• Unwind the power cable completely from the cable winder before using the appliance.

Tips on usage
• Toast mixed-flour breads at higher browning levels than white bread. Matured, dry bread
browns faster than fresh bread.
• Avoid using slices that are too big or too thick,
as these can easily become jammed in the appliance.
Attention!
In the event of a malfunction and when cleaning the
appliance, remove the power plug from the wall
socket. Risk of electrical shock!
• Loosen jammed slices of bread with a blunt wooden object (e.g. a wooden spatula or spoon).
Do NOT touch the heater elements.
• Differences in bread sorts, moisture and the thickness of individual slices influence the browning
of the toast. Therefore the bread for toasting
should be kept in sealed packaging until required.
• Unwrap the power cable from the cable winder
on the underside of the appliance.
• Place the toaster on a dry and level surface.
Before taking into use
Heat the appliance up at least five times, at the
maximum setting (7), without the insertion of bread
slices. For details on cleaning the appliance, read
the section "Cleaning and Care".
Please take note:
The operating button 3 only engages when the
power cable is connected to a mains power socket.
On the first usage, a slight odour can occur (minimal smoke development is also possible). This is
normal and stops after a short time. Provide for
sufficient ventilation.
Adjusting the browning level
The desired level of browning, from "light" (1) to
"dark"" (7), can be adjusted infinitely with the
toasting dial 7.

Attention!
When the appliance is in operation, do NOT cover
the toasting slots 2. There would be a risk of fire!
The appliance could be irreparably damaged!
• After setting the desired browning level, place
the bread into the toasting slots 2.

• Press the operating button 3 downwards. The
control lamp on the stop button 6 glows.
• The automatic bread aligner centres the inserted
bread into the toasting slots 2.
• When the desired level of browning has been
reached the toaster switches itself off automatically and the slices are ejected to the top.
• This appliance has a lifting function, which makes it easier and safer for you to take the hot slices of toast from the toasting slots 2. For this, sli-
de the operating button 3 upwards.
Interrupting the toasting
process
If you wish to interrupt the toasting process, press
the STOP button 6.
The toaster switches itself off. The control lamp extinguishes. The slices of bread are ejected.
Warming function
The warming function 5 makes it possible for you
to warm bread without browning it. For example,
toast that has gone cold. The bread is only briefly
warmed.
• Insert the bread and press the operator button
3 down.
• Activate the button for the warming function 5.
The control lamp integrated into the button for
the warming function 5 glows.
• The toaster switches itself off automatically, the
control lamp extinguishes and the bread slices
are ejected.
Thaw function
Through activation of the thaw function 4 frozen
bread can also be thawed. With this, the toaster
slowly warms the bread.
• Adjust the browning controller 7 to the desired
level of browning.
• Insert the bread and press the operator button
3 down.
• Activate the button for the thaw function 4.
The control lamp integrated into the button for
the warming function 4 glows.
• The toaster switches itself off automatically, the
control lamp extinguishes and the bread slices
are ejected.
Dependent on the setting of the browning level,
the bread is either thawed or browned.
Crumb tray
When toasting, crumbs that fall from the bread are
collected in the crumb tray 8. To empty the crumb
tray, simply pull it 8 out to the side.
Bread roll holder
• NEVER lay bread rolls directly onto the toaster,
ALWAYS use the bread roll holder 1.
• Press the button for the bread roll holder 9
down. The bread roll holder 1 elevates itself.
• Lay the bread rolls on it and start the toasting
procedure. AS A MINIMUM, position the toasting dial 7 at level 3. To discover the positioning that best meets your personal preference,
try out several settings. Subject to the desired
level of browning, or the type of product to the
toasted, the adjustment of the toasting dial 7 is
variable.

Place the rolls onto the bread roll holder 1 so
that they cannot fall through the holder rails.
Attention!
After toasting, the rolls will be very hot.
Risk of Burns!
• As soon as the toaster switches itself off, check
the level of browning. Should the bread roll
have the desired level of browning, turn it over to
brown the other side.
• Switch the toaster back on.
• When you no longer require the bread roll holder 1, push the bread roll holder button 9
upwards . The bread roll holder 1 folds itself
away.
Cleaning and care
Danger!
Before cleaning, remove the power plug from the
wall socket and allow the toaster to cool down.
Risk of injury!
Storage
• Store the toaster at a cool and dry location.
• Clean the appliance as described in the chapter
"Cleaning and Care".
• Wrap the power cable around the cablewinder
on the underside of the appliance.
Disposal
NEVER submerse the appliance in water or
other liquids. The appliance could become
damaged!
Warning about damage to the
appliance!
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
These can damage the upper surfaces of the appliance.
• Clean the appliance housing only with a dry or
lightly moistened cloth.
• To avoid the risk of fire, empty the crumb tray 8
at regular intervals.
Do not dispose of the device in your
normal domestic waste. This product is
subject to the provisions of European
Directive 2002/96/EC.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved
disposal centre or at your community waste facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations.
In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an
environmentally responsible manner.

Warranty and Service
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from
the date of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of
purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, please
make contact by telephone with our Service Department. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for
your goods be assured.
The warranty covers only claims for material and
manufacturing defects, but not for transport damage, for wearing parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for
private use only and is not intended for commercial
use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and
improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried out by our authorized service
branch. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any
way by this warranty.
The warranty period will not be extended by repairs
made under warranty. This applies also to replaced
and repaired parts. Any damage and defects extant
on purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking the appliance, at the latest, two days after
the purchase date. Repairs made after the expiration of the warranty period are subject to payment.

Uporaba u skladu sa namjenom
Ovaj uređaj je predviđen za prženje ploški kruha,
žemlji i tostnih vafli za potrebe domaćinstva. On nije
predviđen za uporabu sa drugim namirnicama ili
drugim materijalima, niti za uporabu u gospodarskim
ili industrijskim područjima. Svaki drugi način
uporabe i svaka preinaka smatra se protivnom namjeni
uređaja i krije znatne opasnosti od nezgode.

Važne sigurnosne napomene
Da biste izbjegli opasnost po život
uslijed strujnog udara:
• Nikada ne umetnite dijelove pribora za jelo ili druge
metalne predmete u otvore za prženje.
• Osigurajte, da uređaj nikada ne može doći u dodir
sa vodom, dok se utikač nalazi u utičnici, pogotovo

• Obratite pažnju na to, da u pogonu mrežni kabel

• Sivi kruh pržite na višem stupnju od bijelog kruha.
Odstojali, suhi kruh brže se prži od svježeg.
• Ne upotrebljavajte prevelike i predebele ploške,
jer se one mogu lako zaglaviti.
Pažnja!
Kod kvarova ili prilikom čišćenja izvucite utikač iz
utičnice. Opasnost od strujnog udara!
• Zaglavljene šnite kruha izvadite pomoću tupog
drvenog štapa (na primjer drškom od četkice).
Pritom ne dodirnite grijače.
• Razlike u vrsti kruha, njegovoj vlažnosti i debljini
pojedinih ploški utječu na stvaranje rumenila
tostkruha. Zbog toga bi tost-kruh po mogućnosti
trebali čuvati u zatvorenom pakiranju.

• Odmotajte kabel sa kabelskog namotača na
donjoj strani uređaja.
• Toster postavite na suhu i ravnu površinu.
Prije prve upotrebe
Toster trebate bez tosta najmanje pet puta na maksimalnom podešenju (7) pustiti u rad. Za napomene
u vezi čišćenja tostera molimo pročitajte i poglavlje
»Čišćenje i održavanje«.
Molimo uzmite u obzir:
Tipka za posluživanje 3 može uleći samo kada je
mrežni kabel priključen. Kod prve upotrebe može
doći do razvijanja blagog mirisa (moguć je nastanak
male količine dima). Ovo je normalna pojava, koja
će nakon kratkog vremena nestati. Molimo vas, da
osigurate dovoljan odvod zraka.
Podešavanje stupnja rumenila
Željeni stupanj rumenila od "svijetlog" (1) do
"tamnog" (7) može pomoću regulatora rumenila 7
bezstupanjski biti podešen.
Tostanje
Pažnja!
Za vrijeme rada tostera otvore za prženje 2 ne
prekrijte. Postoji opasnost od požara!
Uređaj u tom slučaju može biti nepopravljivo oštećen!
• Nakon podešavanja željenog stupnja rumenila
umetnite kruh u otvore za prženje 2.

• Pritisnite tipku za posluživanje 3 prema dolje.
Na stop-tipki 6 pozicionirana kontrolna lampica
svijetli.
• Automatsko centriranje kruha će kruh centrirati
u otvorima za prženje 2.
• Nakon što je postignut željeni stupanj rumenila,
toster se automatski isključuje i šnite kruha se
izbacuju.
• Ovaj uređaj raspolaže funkcijom podizanja,
koja Vam omogućava da vruće ploške kruha
jednostavnije i sigurnije izvadite iz otvora za
prženje 2. U tu svrhu gurnite tipku za
posluživanje 3 prema gore.
Prekidanje procesa tostanja
Kada želite prekinuti postupak tostanja, pritisnite
stoptipku 6. Toster se isključuje. Kontrolna lampica
se gasi. Ploške kruha se vraćaju prema gore.
Funkcija otapanja
Aktiviranjem funkcije otapanja 4 može i zamrznuti
tost biti odmrznut. Toster pritom polako zagrijava kruh.
• Regulator rumenila 7 postavite na potrebni stupanj rumenila.
• Umetnite kruh i pritisnite tipku za posluživanje 3
prema dolje.
• Aktivirajte tipku za funkciju otapanja 4.
Na tipki za funkciju otapanja 4 smještena
kontrolna lampica svijetli.
• Toster se automatski isključuje, kontrolna lampica
se gasi i ploške kruha se ponovo vraćaju prema
gore.
Ovisno o podešenom stupnju rumenila kruh će
biti otopljen, odnosno pržen dok ne porumeni.
Pretinac za mrvice
Funkcija grijanja
Funkcija zagrijavanja 5 Vam omogućava zagrijavanje
kruha bez da on porumeni. Na primjer ako se prženi
kruh ponovo ohladio. Kruh se samo nakratko zagrijava.
• Umetnite kruh i pritisnite tipku za posluživanje 3
prema dolje.
• Aktivirajte tipku za funkciju zagrijavanja 5.
Na tipki za funkciju zagrijavanja 5 smještena
kontrolna lampica svijetli.
• Toster se automatski isključuje, kontrolna lampica
se gasi i ploške kruha se ponovo vraćaju prema
gore.
Prilikom tostanja se padajuće mrvice skupljaju u pretincu
za mrvice 8. Za uklanjanje mrvica izvucite pretinac za
mrvice 8 na stranu van.
Nastavak za žemičke
• Žemičke nikada ne polegnite neposredno na toster,
nego uvijek koristite nastavak za žemičke 1.
• Pritisnite tipku nastavka za žemičke 9 prema dolje.
Nastavak za žemičke 1 se uspravlja.
• Postavite žemlje na podlogu i pokrenite postupak tostanja. Regulator rumenila 7 podesite
najmanje na stupanj 3. Molimo da isprobavanjem raznih stupnjeva pronađete stupanj, koji je
za Vas najprikladniji. Ovisno o željenom stupnju
rumenila ili o vrsti namirnica za prženje podešenje regulatora rumenila 7 može biti
promjenljivo.
